This was an interesting, sometimes convenient ending to the series .
I am still love the monsters over the sweet loving indearing harem members, always have always will.
The magical aspect of this world sometimes jumps around and

I did like the mind meld connection and I love an insta bond that takes a while emotionally to kick in:
The brothers thing usually doesn’t always sit that well with me but DC always makes it work.

Well done again :) :)

Wow i havent been this disappointed by a ending since Chronicles of Midnight!

Let me just say that i love the fact that Debbie doesnt hold back with killing off characters, it keeps things interesting. I however did not like this book. Nothing happened and then the epilogue 🤦‍♀️

Everything felt soooooo rushed and its making me rethink this whole series. Did i actually enjoy it or was i just excited to see some of my favorite characters again?

I still have so many questions. Guess i was just expecting more.

Brilliant end to the series!

Read a beta copy, so don't want to mention any spoilers, but I really liked the way everything resolved. Always great to have an epilogue at the end to give you a sense of what happened to the characters afterwards.

I love all of the guys in this book, although I have a soft spot for Gideon, and Echo continues to be her badass self!

Highly recommend this series and both of the other series in this world!

Meh...

I expected a looot more from this author, from this series, and from this universe. Not sure if Debbie Cassidy got bored or what happened here exactly, but I think this is the first series I read from her where I get no feelings from the books (boredom doesn't count).

There was no chemistry between characters and I did some skimming of the books, which is very unusual for me when it comes to this author.

The world is pretty good, and the MC is decent (although kinda flat), but that's about it.

All in all, a very disappointing series.

3 1/2 stars.. I have so many unanswered questions. I enjoyed this series yet I feel an unfulfilled desire to know more. Cassidy has a way of leaving things unanswered and it makes me crazy.. I felt like there should have been a prequel to fill in all the random things being told between the fall of arcana and the present. Instead things where just thrown into the story for us to figure out. And how is the sea king even part of the harem? Anyway, I enjoyed it enough to finish the series.

2.5-3 stars.. ish.. maybe.. hmm. Is anyone else wondering where the heck the rest of the story is here? All these books of buildup and mate collecting only to end with it feeling so unfinished. I mean, lets be honest here.. we had one dude we haven't even spent any time with still.. I mean is there more to come for this series? I just feel like there are so many holes with no hope in sight right now. I'm not sure I've ever ended a Debbie Cassidy story feeling quite this way. What about the Sea King... is that going to be another series? Are they together also?

As far as wrapping up the series I don't feel very satisfied here at the end. Things aren't quite "wrapped up" really. I have to say it was a tad anticlimactic after all that build and the story just doesn't feel complete.. yea we might have reached a goal but what about the rest of the story? the world even? and what now?

I'm a tad miffed about this whole conclusion here. Surely this isn't the "end" right? I'll say the title of the series is pretty spot on when it comes to all these unfinished paths here lol.

Epic finale to this post-apocalyptic fantasy with sci-fi elements series.
Echo is back at the Hive, coping with the loss of her sister, only to realize the next course of action - finally bring Genesis down. But that is no easy task, and even with the best team, it might prove to be more than she is capable of..
I absolutely loved this whirlwind of action and passion, a mastermind game with puzzle pieces finally falling together to create the whole picture, and a romance worth all the world. All the main characters are distinctive and amazing in their own way, complex and mature personalities by the end of the series. I grew attached to them, loved them all, and now I have to take a break before I move on to the next story, just to absorb all the impressions.

Good ending

This was a good ending to this series, just not a great one. As with most of Debbie Cassidy’s works, there are a few unanswered questions and a HEA that is ALMOST spot on, but not quite perfect. It might be paranormal and dystopian in nature, but there is too much humanity injected into these pages to offer that sublime ending.... not everything get resolved, not every one is smiling and, sometimes, that end feels a little unfair. There’s closure, but wonder - and the potential for further stories.

Well, the end is here and it is epic! The final installment in the Chronicles of Deadworld, Dead End, will knock your socks off! This is not a book you want to grab out of sequence. Though it can be read as a stand-alone, I would not recommend it. In order to truly enjoy the story and appreciate the characters and understand the storyline, you should start the series from the beginning with Dead World; you will not be disappointed…at all…promise!!! This is a fast-paced, adrenaline-fueled adventure that will grab you from the start. There is so much awesomeness contained in this final installment you will not be dissatisfied.

Echo has come a long way from a young, starry-eyed heart keeper to the powerhouse guardian of The Hive. She is resilient, has an amazing inner strength, even in the times of great sorrow, and gets things done. She also has a big heart, a wicked mind for codes and patterns, and a strong determination with a fantastic crew of yummy, strong, alpha men at her side for support. She pulls out all the stops in this last installment, risking everything, to save her family, her men and the place she calls home. Amidst the secrets, lies, deceit, and heartbreak she fights for the truth, to right wrongs, and to give her community a chance at a future. Echo and her guys are in a league of their own. Chronicles of Midnight is still my favorite of Cassidy’s writings but this series has catapulted in line to a close second. I am really sad to see this series come to an end, but it has a great resolution and I can honestly say I was pleased with the ending. This series is truly an epic read start to finish!

I cannot tell you how much I love the writing of Debbie Cassidy! She has such imagination that she creates these stories that just pull you in. Each series is unique yet is connected in small ways. I just love it. Not only is she a great story teller but we get multiple series a year and we get them completed quickly. I am not complaining, creativity takes time, and I perfectly understand that. But on the same token it is nice to have a series start and wrap up quickly. And be so very good.

In Dead End we have the end of The Chronicles of Deadworld which I was very much looking forward to and dreading at the same time. Echo and the guys are one of my fave characters of all time. Echo is smart, loyal, funny and has the weight of this messed up world on her shoulders. That is a lot to have, and she does it, because she is a kick a@@ character. The guys are a mixture of what she needs, and honestly are perfect for her. If you are looking for a very romantic read, this is not it. The storyline is fast paced, there is a lot to tell and most of it is with the story itself. The romance is an after thought. I always have enjoyed a good meaty story with romance on the side.

That being said, the Chronicles of Deadworld is a great series for someone who loves paranormal, great characters, an amazing plot, with an ending to the series that will leave you satisfied!

I'm continually impressed by Debbie Cassidy's creativity - across all of the series of hers that I have read she combines elements from different genres in ways that basically create their own subgenre. This last book in the Deadworld series continues that tradition, as well as her style of fast-paced, crisp writing that makes you feel like you're watching a television show. In this series I really liked all of the characters - Echo is a tough/action heroine, with the fate of the world resting on her shoulders and I definitely felt the pressure of that in all the obstacles they faced. I didn't completely feel the emotional attachment to her harem members, likely because I personally prefer a slow relationship build happening all on page and that doesn't fit into the fast-paced style of this series, but I did feel it some, and there are good steamy scenes. I always enjoyed spending a couple hours in this world, with these characters, and when this one came to an end I was sorry it was over. I would actually love to spend more time with them and see what their lives are like now, and what happens next for them, so if Ms. Cassidy ever feels led to write more about them I will gladly visit.

Dead Perfect and Utterly Satisfying

But I'm still heartbroken it's all over. Debbie has done a wonderful job with the connection and crossover of each of her epic series. This final book marks the finale of all. It hurts, experiencing the pain and struggle right along with the characters. I dragged out this last book because I didn't want to read "The End". I knew she would bring the satisfaction, she always does, but she never takes it easy on us. I was a horny, disturbed and distraught mess throughout. Thank you for always bringing everything full circle. No questions are left unanswered and you are always left satisfied but with that hollow feeling only finishing a delicious book and an excellent series will do to you. I'm never regretful that I picked up a Cassidy book but I'm always left with an indelible impression and deep memories as if they were the very best friends I never knew I needed. Thanks again for breaking my heart, but you've created a loyal reader for life! ❤️

I had such mixed emotions when I started this book! I felt excited and sad at the same time. I was so eager to find out what happened, but I also didn’t want the series to be over! That being said, I loved how this book ended! I felt that things were resolved well, there were no loose ends and I really enjoyed the epilogue! Echo will always be a favorite of mine. I just love how far she comes from the first book to the last. I love how she pushes through and overcomes so many obstacles and heart wrenching moments, only to become stronger. All the men in this book are also some of my favorite that Debbie has created. Everyone in this series just really complimented each other. Echo and her team are in for one more wild ride and it had me biting my nails and sitting on the edge of my seat. If you haven’t started this steamy , action filled heart pounding post-apocalyptic series , I highly suggest you do!

I gave it 3.5 stars

Although short, each book in this series has been quickly paced and full of action.

I enjoyed the characters and storyline of this series. DEAD END ends things and leaves us content with the series ending. The harem is full of different men that work well together, but the romance isn't a main part of the storyline.

Why not a full 4 or 5 stars? There was something throughout the series that I had issues with and mentioned in previous reviews. It bothered me that it was never taken care of and I couldn't help think about it in each book when it wasn't resolved. DEAD END does address it a bit which was nice, but it still felt like an afterthought.

If you enjoy Cassidy's previous books, I would definitely give this series a shot.

We are at the end of this series, and, as I always am at the end of a great series, I’m sad to see it go. Echo has reached a do-or-die situation and will need the strength of everyone in her life to free everyone from the sinister clutches of a mad machine. Will she succeed or will everyone perish? I have loved every book in this series, including this one. The hot sex, the tender romance, the rapid action, and the intriguing plot all made this a to-be-read series. Pretty much everyone from the other books made in an appearance in this series, and I’m glad I got to visit them before the end. I’m sad to see this go, but it was a very fitting ending to a wonderful series. Highly recommend this book, and I received a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

Good

The series was action packed and I enjoyed how fast it was. There was only a few intsy things that I think could of been changed, Finn... I felt like he was an extra in the end. In the beginning he was a potential mate but was just dropped! Then immedietly was best friends?? Yeah I'm not down that.
I could go on about growth and development of characters but I think when you have to put that in aswell as the action well.. Your probably looking at 12 books and a real slow burn RH. So I liked the fact I could read the series within a couple of days but I do think there could of been more explanation on genesis. I loved emory, the intriguing 2 characters in one body, brilliant. All in all a lovely little series for the holidays.

Kickass end to a seriously AMAZING series! Echo has a lot to face in this final installment & she will need everyone in her life to get through this. I’ve read MANY of Debbie’s books at this point and one thing I always notice is how she can literally make you feel as if you’re a part of the book with how in depth and well her writing is. Also it doesn’t hurt that Micha & Lyrian always leave me with huge smiles, and Rhydian makes me giddy! The guys are awesome in this book!
This was an epic conclusion to this world and you will not want to miss out on it!

I love this author so much! Everything she puts out there is very well thought out, and she has her own writing style/formula that is signature to Cassidy.

I loved the characters, the plot, the depth, and the descriptions. I do wish we had more of the relationship aspect to the romance, but, as I mentioned, Cassidy always adds her flare to whatever she writes that make reading the series worthwhile.

Excellent conclusion, not 100% predictable, and not so unbelievably out of the realm of making sense. Love it!

This author gives us the most amazing and interesting world, backstories and characters but I tend to be disappointed by the endings, or perhaps dissapointed isn't the correct word but it all feels very open ended usually, this being more of the same.

I liked Serenity Harker well enough in her own series, midnight but my god did I detest her in this one.
She had, what felt like a complete personality flip, going from I want to save everyone and kinda weak in that sense to this and it just didn't really work for me.

All I can say is wow! This was an explosive ending to an amazing series. It says something great that at the end of the book you still are not ready to let these characters go. Echo is a favorite of mine with her fierce determination and heart that she puts into everything she does. I loved the characters, I really loved the story arc through out the entire series and I will miss each and every character. This is easily in my top 10 all time favorite series.

So this is a fab series and this latest and last addition is just as good if not better then the rest! “To heal a broken sword, you’ll have to forge it in fire. Bring on the flames.” A well written explosive ending to a fantastic series that has had me hooked since the start and I cannot recommend this enough! I adore Echo and her guys and am sad to see it all come to an end but I have enjoyed the ride!

I'll admit I'm sad that this series is now concluded, but what a fantastic series it was. I loved the fact that the story had such a great rounded up conclusion, and loose ends were tied. Gonna miss Echo and the boys, it was fast-paced with many twists and turns from start to finish. If you are a fan of reverse harem then definitely give this series a read. Can't wait for more from this fantastic author!

Debbie has done a wonderful job of creating an explosive, satisfying conclusion to this amazing UF/Paranormal series. The storyline is well-written, fast-paced, action-packed, suspenseful and steamy. There is love, loss, evolving relationships, and beautifully developed characters. These characters have given me hours of enjoyment, entertainment, and I'm sorry to see them go. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.

Although this can be read as a stand alone I hghly recommend reading in order to get the full story and experience - I promise you will love it. Echoes journey comes full circle and all questions are answered in this last book of this amazing series . This authors descriptive writing and in depth characters that you can't help becoming invested in is why she is a one-click author to me. I can't wait to see what the author comes up with next

Sad it's over

This was such a great storyline. I wish it wasn't over yet, but I enjoyed it. Reverse Harems are usually not my go to but I didn't realize that's what this series was when I first started reading. The story sucked me in and I'm so glad I stuck with it. The series had a good ending and was well put together, but I felt like it was missing something. I can't quite figure out what that was, but that's why I gave it 4 stars.

WOW

Think Divergent meets Hunger Games, good grief, so much power packed into this series, so many things that actually could become our reality if we don’t stop ‘ tinkering’ with stuff. Amazing characters and their development was slow but perfect. An MC with many bad traits and characteristics that made her oh so human. A harem that slowly slowly comes together perfectly, complete with problems instead of perfection. It’s all here and awesome.

I have to say that the Chronicles of Deadworld were a nice read and a nice end to the Chronicles universe. Echo is a likable character, her men have made an impact and I was really thrilled to read about the old characters. Have to say that I liked more the way Wila turned out than Serenity and in the end I really hated the Arcana Institute.
There is still some stories to be told in the chronicles universe, maybe one day we will hear them.

I hate endings

But Debbie Cassidy is a master at world building and her endings, while bittersweet always leave a sense of completion. No what ifs lingering after the last page.

Echo and her men know they have find Genesis and it. If humanity is going to survive it has to be done. This is a race against the clock and the twisted goals of others. Can they do it? Can they save the world and walk out unscathed? The adventure is ending but it’s oh so good!

Loved Écho’s story. It takes place in a world in the future of two of the author’s other series, after Genesis, a machine that devours souls has obliterated the majority of the population. Echo is the last guardian of an underground hub of survivors (or so they thought). Loved her story and the men in her new life!! Can’t wait for the next series!!!

Debbie Cassidy has once again given us an epic conclusion to another series! This book is fast paced, emotion packed, heart stopping story that has you completely captivated all the way through! With the way the last book ended this book has the MC dealing with the fallout while still protecting everyone...this is the type of book that you need to sit and read as once you start it is impossible to put down. All he characters have crawled their way into the heart and it is great to read how the series ends...a highly recommended book by a very talented author!
