I’m the Princess of the Doomsday Sinners MC.

Indulged.

Shallow.

The most popular girl in school.

My name is Nova Stubbs and all of those words have been used to describe me, they define me. Or at least that’s what people think.

No-one except my family ever bothered to look past the mask I wear, the role I play. Because this is what they want me to be, who they expect.

If they looked a little deeper they’d see the crumbling mess I am.

I care too much and hate who I pretend to be. My mind is too loud and it consumes me. Staying hidden is the only way I survive.

Then Valentine Miller steps into my world.

He hates me. He manipulates me and controls me. But when I’m with him he makes the world quiet.

Love. Hate. Need. Want. I feel them all when he touches me.

Valentine wants to ruin me and I might let him.

I need more more more!

This book is 99p for pre-order (I’ve already reserved my copy), however, I was then lucky enough to receive an ARC. I’ve read a few books of Gemma Weir’s books and I like her alpha male style. This one is a little different as the characters are younger than our usual rodeo, but this one fell into my favourite genre which had me all excited. This is a Bully/ Hate romance which I’m a huge fan of.

Hidden has links to the MC series by this author, however, it can easily be read as a standalone. Nova is the daughter of the Vice President of the Doomsday Sinners. She and her brother rule the school. The new boy, Valentine is about to stir things up for our princess.

It’s hot, it’s ugly and all kinds of messed up. This book is executed well and leaves you wanting more of
The series.

5 stars out of 5. This is my kind of book.

*I received an ARC however I’ve ordered my forever copy. My review is my own thoughts.

Nova and her family belong to the local Bike MC called The Scions. At school and in their smalltown, everyone knows not to mess with the kids of this club as if so there will be consequences and you will bring on the full wrath of the club as they protect their own. At School though Nova Stubbs is seen as the Ice Queen and the girl not to mess with. The truth is though that she is tired of pretending to be something that she is not as she isn't really the girl that the school views and that the other students see. In fact she is slowly crumbling inside and hearing voices that are sending her into panicked frenzies. When Valentine arrives at the club as a new foster kid, he decides to make it his mission to control Nova and prove to her that she can be something different than the Princess and the Ice Queen she plays at school. He also holds all the power and if she isn't careful he will ruin her family and friends. At first, Nova doesn't believe him but when her first wall starts to crumble and falls down hard, she plays right into his hand and soon a blackmailed manipulated relationship begins between the pair of them. However, part of Nova likes it as she can be herself around Valentine. However what will happen when Nova's fear and the one secret that can break her for good is revealed in front of the whole school and the finger is pointed to Valentine? Can Valentine find out who else knew her secret and released it? My bet is on Nova's ex-best friend. Hidden does end on a cliffhanger but at least Book #2 also is released in September so readers don't have to wait too long unlike me. Hidden was a bullymance story but does not contain RH.

This is my first read by this author. You know the story. So many books so little time but I am glad to say I finally had the chance to pick up this well written, seemingly personal book for the author. It had more than just words on a page it had a kinda of understanding of how the characters truly felt. Like she's walked more than a day in the shoes of these characters.

Now I don't really get the draw of a bully romance book but I do love them when they are well written. This isn't just a bully romance it's more. There are many things that make up this book and although I want to spill my guts I can't do that. I fell that magic need to be experienced first hand and will truly come to light in book two.

From promises broken to secrets told. This book has it all. A really great book that I know will appeal to a lot of people. A total recommend from me.

HOLY FORKING SHIRTBALLS!!!

To start, let me just say to all those who love an asshole of a hero, you are going to FLOVE this book. Valentine makes me want to punch him in his pretty, square jaw! What an epic dick. Like I love him, but GAHHHH.

Gemma has started her spin off with a bloody huge BANG and I can't wait for more people to read it, to go through the angst, the anger, the turmoil. I'm a huge fan of NA Bully romances as it is, but that just means this had a lot to live up to, and this is now among one of my top 5 bully romances, right with Burberry Prep & Untouchable.

I'm not going to bang on anymore, I'm going to let you discover it for yourself, but trust me, you'll regret it if you dont.

I am new to Gemma's writing, I have heard all about her MC series but I hadn't read them yet. When I got the chance to read the start of this new series from her I jumped at the chance. I literally devoured this book in a couple of hours as I couldn't put it down.

This is the second generation of the Doomsday Sinners MC and its the kids turn to get their stories.

Nova is the biker princess of the MC and is the Queen of the school. Whilst you see this strong, feisty girl at first, you soon realise that she is a normal teenage girl with high anxiety. She is scared to let everyone, apart from her family, see the real her.

Valentine is the new boy in school and new foster boy at Nova's aunts. He has that bad-boy vibe and takes a serious disliking to Nova soon as he meets her. He pre-judges her and makes it his mission to break her by threatening her and bullying her.

Honetly whilst I should hate Valentine for what he does to Nova I am seriously intrigued by him, there is more to him then meets the eye and I want to understand him more. I can see he cares for Nova really but it scares him how she gets under his skin so easily.

This book does end on quite a cliffy but the wait is short for the next instalment in Found

Shredded!

I recommend reading where you can openly cry and have copious amounts of tissues and possibly a defibrillator handy - I can't tell you how many times I felt my chest constrict or my breath catch as I carefully turned the page frightened of what I would find

From the moment Nova's inner turmoil took center stage I was lost. I could feel her pain and emptiness. It radiated so strongly from the pages -
Everything in me wanted to hold her to protect her.
Tell her it would be okay.
Even if I wasn't so sure myself.

Valentine is pure evil and one he ll of a professional manipulator. We aren't given much about his past or him - except I believe he is the devil incarnate!
I do so hope we get a glimpse of what triggered his anger his absolute loathing for Nova.

This ends by ripping out the reader's heart and just leaving it to bleed out upon the pages (that means it ends on a bit of a cliffy)

Young Adult done right -
If you are looking for Angst ✔️
Subtle power plays ✔️
Momentary feeling of hopelessness ✔️
Dark and broody alphas ✔️
Without all the immaturity ✔️
Then may I recommend The Scions

OH HOLY HELL! The uber talented Gemma Weir has started The Scions series with a BANG, and despite the fact that I don't read a ton of stories in the NA genre with kids in High School, I'm already addicted big time. This is the story of Nova, a Scions MC princess, who is pretty much viewed as an ice princess in her High School, on top of not messing with her because of her family. No one ever looks past the surface though to see her melting down with stress of pretending to be someone she's not, plus some other issues that I'm not coming off of. Things really start to change when Valentine shows up to the Clubhouse as a foster kid, and they have a kind of intense attraction to each other, well, at least she does. I wasn't' always sure about him though, as he was such a douchebag to her, very controlling & he actually blackmailed and/or manipulated her into a relationship. Yeah, I was calling him colorful metaphors too, especially since Nova just couldn't resist him, but she felt like she could be herself around him. I'm still really jacked up about Valentine to be honest, as I'm not a forgiving person, and when some pretty big twists come around the corner, I found myself simultaneously dropping f-bombs in between the colorful metaphor name calling. Those twists went all the to end with the biggest one of all, which left me hanging off the side of a cliff, and now I must have the next book before I lose it. Now, that's all from me, so I'll end with HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDING TO ALL!

Nova Stubbs is not your average American teenager she is the princess of the Doomsday sinners and daughter of Echo and Liv. Suffering from anxiety coursed by the pressure of who she is and the pedestal she has been put on, Nova is finding it tough. Her only saviour is her brother Zeke until He arrives and turns her life upside down amd not in a good way.

Valintine Miller is a typical bad boy moved from group foster care to Blaze and brandi foster care. From day one he is thrown into a world thats fueled by its family ties of brotherhood.
He meets Nova and the rest of the sinners on the day he arrives and instantly takes a dislike to Nova. His past is complex and results in him causing trouble for Nova.

This is part of a duo of books and is interconnected with the Archers Creeks series although this can be read as a standalone. If you want to know the story of Novas family first then i suggest you read the Archer Creek series first.

Gemma Weir you are awesome well done this is different to her other books in style but this doesn't take away from its greatness.

Valentine might very well ruin Nova but it'll be nothing compared to the way Gemma Weir has just ruined me!!
Broken.
Ripped apart.
Absolutely shattered.

I have read all of Gemma's previous works but never, and I mean not once has she had me so caught up in a story, so wrapped up in a character's life, that I have felt like jumping in the book and wrapping the character up in the biggest hug.
Every single part of me feels Nova's pain. If my dad was a biker and not the farmer he is, then I could be Nova. Every thought she has, all the feelings it pulls from her, each sleepless night and every soul destroying, agonising false smile she wears, I think/feel/have/wear on a regular basis.
Gemma has done a wonderful job of writing such emotive scenes.
Valentine too... a brooding bad boy, out to break the princess. Little does he know, the more he tries to break her, the more he becomes her saviour. I adore him. We don't get to know him all that well throughout this book, which is predominantly Nova's side of the story but what we do see is enough to make us want so much more.

It's nice to have all of the Archer's Creek family appearing in this story, but now we focus on the younger generation.

I'm pleased book 2 is following behind very quickly!

When you start a book without what to expect and it absolutely blows your mind - THIS!!! Hidden is totally different from Gemma's other books (you can read this without reading her other books) but thats what makes it sooooo good, I think its my favourite yet. Be warned though - this book comes with one hell of an ending that had me screaming at ny Kindle in disbelief!!!

Nova is the daughter of the president local motorcycle club. Shes up there on a pedestal, all eyes are on her, more so by Nova herself. The result is crippling anxiety that I felt in every word on the page. Valentine - I have never wanted to jump in a book and slap a character more than this guy, he's your stereotypical troubled teen to a tee, but he's also Nova's worse nightmare. It all comes together in a story you just can't put down!!! So excited for Found now.

Kinda gutted I could only give this 5 stars, it deserves way more, well done Gemma!!!! Get this on your TBR now!

Nova is the daughter of the president of the Doomsday Sinners MC. She and her brother Zeke run the high school until bad boy Valentine shows up to turn things upside down. Valentine hates Nova and makes it well known to everyone. Nova isn't the spoiled princess everyone thinks she is, she has crushing anxiety that she hides with a gruff exterior. This is not your usual teenage romance. Pick up this book and get reading!

Hidden by Gemma Weir is book One in The Scions Series. This starts the story of Valentine Miller and Nova Stubbs.
Nova and Valentine both have internal struggles that have defined them. Nova does better at covering her anxiety and issues that only her family sees. Other think she is the carefree girl that has not real issues. Valentine was in the system and had been bullied but now he has turned being the bully which seems to be toward the perfect girl Nova or so he thinks she is. But both have dealt with their issue wrongly which has added to the tension of upset between the two.
This book has such a emotional ride for me but one that kept me turning pages left and right. It does end setting us up or the next installment which I hope to read soon.

I have no words

I seriously have no words! This book has totally knocked me on my a$$! I honestly did not know what I was going into when I opened this book, but once opened I couldn't out it down (well, unfortunately I had to because I needed to go to work!).
There were times my hands covered my face, I had to put the kindle down and take a breathe before continuing. This truly got me and I felt everything Nova felt, my heart truly breaking. And nothing prepared me for that ending, Sweet Jesus, I am in pieces.

The next generation, I love these kind of books. You've seen the parents fall in love and now it's down to the kids. This book though can be read as a standalone and the previous series does not need to be read.

This is Nova's story, The biker princess of the Doomsday Sinners and the boy who takes her crown.

Hidden is based in a high school setting and most of the scenes revolve around high school, so this is quite different from Gemma Weir's previous MC books but you still have the hotness, the alpha male character, the feel of the MC togetherness with Nova and her other family members who all attend the same school.

Nova is a messed up kind of girl, the plot immediately thrusts you into the mind of Nova, her inner battles and the many wars she has with herself, a teenage girl with anxiety, though I couldn't figure out the root of her anxiety when she's from a stable, strong and loving family.

Nova is the daughter of an MC club member and since the start of school Nova has played to her peers expectations of being a mean girl when inside she was anything but, at home she would let her mask fall and just be Nova.
Nova put on a show she thought they all expected in school but hated every minute of it, she was a little bit of a contradiction because she acted boldly, the high school bitch and yet in her thoughts she feared being talked about, whispered about, yet her actions justified being talked about, whispered about and by being the Bitch she thought people wanted she also made herself unapproachable....See, messed up?

Valentine comes onto the scene as the new guy in school with the bad boy vibe and boy was he bad and he immediately takes a dislike to Nova, even before school when he meets Nova at her Aunts home when he is introduced as the new foster kid and new member to their home. But yes its instant dislike with Nova, how he did that with one glance I don't know.

Valentine claims he sees her, the real her, the false her and he makes it his mission to make her uncomfortable, fear him by tormenting her, threatening her and his reason? well, that was a little unclear but I'm sure all will be revealed in the next book.

HIDDEN is a short bully romance that finishes with a cliffy but the next book FOUND is ready to jump into.

I enjoyed it, in fact, I didn't put it down from start to finish, it was intense, hot unpredictable, it had an L.J Shen kind of feel to it with her mafia series, if you like that authors work, give this a shot.

I think this is the first series I'm starting where the kids are from an MC in a high school setting, I've read plenty of Mafia books similar so I love this, it's refreshing when something is different from your norm.

Looking forward to the next book and conclusion also with other characters already drawing me to them I'm looking forward to the series too.

Told in first person pov.

Nova Stubbs is the princess of the Doomsday Sinners MC and on the first day of high school her dad drove her to school on his motorcycle and made her “untouchable”. Yet beneath the cold exterior that Nova shows everyone is a vulnerable girl who relies heavily on her brother Zeke and best friends Griffin and Emmy.
When her Aunt Brandi and Uncle Sleaze bring a new foster son into their family, 18 year old Valentine Miller, he begins to challenge Nova in a way she hasn’t been challenged before.
Can Nova keep up her ice princess persona when she seems to be having more and more panic attacks? Will Valentine knock Nova off her pedestal and reveal her weaknesses to everyone around her?
As I began to read this book I thought it was headed one way but then it completely turned on how I thought it was going and I couldn’t get enough of it!!
I absolutely loved Nova as she was truly battling everything that so many girls go through in high school with being afraid to show any weaknesses. Yet at the same time she hated being seen as two different people and was afraid she would lose everything if people knew the other side of her. She was so vulnerable and I loved the bond between her and her brother Zeke. I also really liked her relationship with Emmy and how she finally opened up to her.
Valentine Miller was a mystery who seemed to have so much hatred inside of him for Nova and the way she lived her life. It was his goal to destroy her in a certain sense and gain power over her. I am curious to know more about his background as to why he is the way he is.
My heart broke for Nova as I watched her fake her way through it all and then watch as she protected those she loved by giving in to Valentine. He was definitely cold and ruthless.
There were a few altercations that I knew Valentine was behind and it was sad that Nova craved the silence that came with Valentine.
The end of the book left my jaw dropped to the ground and I was completely blown away by what happened. Yet the very end was even more shocking and I am left wondering what is going to happen!!
I need the next book!!!

Hidden
Book 1 of the Scion Series
By Gemma Weir

“I’m nothing but a mean, pretty shell. This is who I tell them I am, the person I allow them to see. It’s who I have to be, because I can never let them see inside, never let them see the real me.”

Nova is the girl that every girl wants to be and every guy wants to date. But under that mask, there is a girl, scared to show everyone who she really is. Valentine has lead a life filled with wealth. One tragic moment takes that all away, and the posh life he has always known is ripped away from him. Separately, Nova and Valentine struggle in their day to day lives, but together, the chaos vanishes, even if for a moment. Can these two show the people around them who they really are?

“Do they know I’m a freak?
Can they see I’m about to cry?
Do they care?
Do they not care?
Do they hate me?
Will they judge me?
Should I run?
Should I hide?”

Living with anxiety is hard. I deal with it 24/7. Reading about Nova’s struggles through Gemma’s words, made my heart burst. It is so refreshing to read about such an important topic, and have its ugly truths brought to light. The struggle of anxiety is a real and terrifying thing, and by Gemma discussing it in Hidden, helps show us that is ok to talk about it...that we need to talk about it.

“He sees what I allow everyone to see and he thinks he knows me. He thinks I’m shallow and vapid and mean. I’d rather him believe the lie than actually see what’s beneath the act.”

I loved catching up with the Sinners, as well as meeting their kids. All of the characters Gemma creates are so unique, each of them adding their own flare to each story that Gemma writes. Hidden made me smile but it also made me cry, some sad tears, but definitely some happy tears too. I highly recommend Hidden. It’s real, raw and oh so good!!

“Something about him silences my mind. Maybe it’s because I’m so consumed with hate for him, I don’t know. But the quiet, the silence, is so wonderful, that maybe, just maybe, I don’t mind his torture.”

Nova is the daughter of Echo and Olivia and was raised in the Doomsday Sinners. She comes across as confident, popular and entitled but underneath that façade she is vulnerable and filled with self-doubt and is just trying to survive.

Valentine has been raised in foster care and has recently become part of the Doomsday Sinners family. He is determined to engineer Nova’s fall from grace and expose her for the fraud he believes her to be.

They may be enemies but that doesn’t stop the connection between them. Valentine does everything he can to make Nova’s life as difficult as possible but it doesn’t always have the desired effect.

Looking forward to the next book and conclusion also with other characters already drawing me to them I'm looking forward to the series too. This story does end on a cliffhanger that leaves us wanting more of Nova and Valentine.

So this book is completely different from the others written by Gemma.

When I first read the premise for the book I was a little unsure as it’s not my usual type of book and Echo is one of my favourite so this being about his and Livs daughter I didn’t want it to ruin the idea I had in my head of them.

I really should of known better. Gemma has never let me down before and she definitely didn’t let me down this time either. Clearly Gemma can write anything she puts her mind to.

I experienced so many emotions reading Hidden. I was sad, reflective, angry and at one point ready to commit murder.
But the book also keeps you guessing and just when you think you have a character figured out, they do something to change your point of view slightly or look at something from a different angle.

Yes it finishes at a cliffhanger that actually made me swear and growl out loud!!!!!

But that just makes me want book 2 found even more!!!

So I'll be honest - when I first met Valentine I absolutely hated his guts. I couldn't find any redeeming qualities AT ALL. I hated him all the more for what he was putting sweet Nova through. The writing about her anxiety is so true to life (as a sufferer myself). It reminded me so much of high school and all of the roles we play just to get through the day.

If it wasn't for the book being written so well and me wanting to find out what happens I might have given up at 80%. Thank god I didn't because Valentine does have a heart and he might be the only person left to calm her frayed nerves with his arms. I need the second book NOW!

This is one of my favourite books of the year just because it pulls my heartstrings so hard that I needed to take a break at times and also shared some tears which for me it’s a huge thing as I rarely cried for books.
Valentine is a dark soul, dominant and possessive, he has no limits in doing whatever it takes to get his way no matter who is hurt in the process.
Nova is a sweet girl inside but a brave one outside. She’s going through a lot as a young woman but she’s scared to ask for help.
The family bound it’s so strong and I loved to read about this next generation in Archer’s Creek.
I need to read the next book like right away because that cliffhanger left me speechless.
If you like your stories full of angst and love, this book it’s definitely for you.

This book was a little rough and hard to read at times. I thought I wasn't going to be able to finish it. I had to put it down a take a breather. Nova just breaks my heart. She is a senior in high school. Along with her brother and best friend. Nova suffers from anxiety. This year it very seems like it's worse. What can I say about valentine. I dont like his character. He is a bully. Poor Nova got caught in his sights. She keeps it quiet, and it makes her anxiety worse. Honestly I don't know how Nova dealt with it for so long. I don't suffer with anxiety and I felt like I could have one. Honestly if this is what people who have it go through. I will try and be more understanding of them. I dont know how I would deal with it. I can't wait for book two. Thank you United Indie Book blog for allowing me to read this book.

Oh wow...... My mind is literally blown. The is Nova and

Valentine’s story. Nova a troubled, anxiety ridden individual who hides her problems well behind the mask she wears. Valentine is a foster kid who has focused all his energy to wear her down and ruin her and he literally turns her life upside down. I love Nova. My heart broke for her to suffer like she did and also for not having the confidence to let other people except her brother in to help. Valentine... well I would have loved to hate him I read would of but just like Nova he wore me down. I just wanted to throat punch him on many occasion and he really frustrated the hell out of me. It had me on edge the whole way through and that cliffhanger ..... well it just broke my heart. I can’t wait for Found to come out so I can find out what happens between them..

Hidden is the first book in the Scion series - Nova is the daughter of Echo, one of the Doomsday Sinners MC, loved and protected by all due to her family and background.

The moment we meet Nova you see her true emotions the rollercoaster and the mask she hides behind to everyone apart from her family, but as this starts to fall apart what will really be left to be shown?

A fantastic different genre explored by writer Gemma Weir and definitely wowed my expectations, cant wait for the next in the Scion Series, and to explore the next book Found.

Welll................ Gemma has done it again with her new venture and knocked it out the sodding park!!! From start to finish this Resonated in one way or another to my entire high school life both in the USA and the Uk. It was powerful and meaningful to actual see a character who is exactly like me and to see that she’s supported by family. It’s just brilliant I can’t say enough about it. I truly did enjoy it!!

Well done Gemma well done 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

What the actual f@*k!!

OMG!! This book had me hooked from the first page and Jesus Christ does it end with a bang. Seriously everyone needs to read this amazing story, it’s out of this world.

This is completely different to Gemma’s other books but man I don’t know if I love this story more. Nova is a very troubled teen and battling in everyday life. Throw in Valentine and it’s a recipe for disaster. Valentine makes you want to punch him all the way through this story, I seriously wanted to climb into this book and do actual bodily harm to him.....I wanted to hold Nova and just protect her from everything but you just know when reading that valentine has a past that he’s hiding.

This story is honestly hands down amazing and deserves 5 ⭐️. I so can’t wait for the next instalment of this series. Gemma has produced an amazing spin off series from the archers creek and I can see this being an massive hit.
