This is one of those great books that leads you to all kinds of other great books. Mini-biographies of all manner of kings, queens, tribal chieftans and local despots that makes you want to know more about each one of them.

Dated but still interesting, if not state-of-the-historical art.

Recommended as an historical oddity, at least.

A really good look into a bunch of historical figures, and I'm glad it didn't focus solely on the western world.

Short brief details of 100 leaders, many are common knowledge but the author also discusses about some lesser known ones for which this book becomes a good read.
