WELCOME TO NOVEMBER PROJECT!!! some may say it is the height of hubris for me to attempt a cookbook project during the month in which thanksgiving lives, considering the balls-out way i do thanksgiving. this might INDEED be a foolhardy plan, but i love this cookbook's spirit, characters, and teaching style so so much, i might as well see if the recipes measure up! A fun introduction to cooking techniques, flavours and basic recipes. I loved the way the book started with safety and dealt with it in a very clear and visual manner. It also has little warning symbols (hot, sharp, germs) throughout the book, so little chefs wouldn't forget to pay attention to safety issues once they get super-excited about making their own ketchup, volcano eggs and bananamole. What a great cookbook for kids. Lots of information, told in a comic book style, by a host of characters who bring different skills to the kitchen. Unique recipes and each has a picture of the completed dish along with pictures of the steps to get there.
