The Wrath of Silence, my dear friends, is a culmination of years of hard work, countless late nights, buckets of tears wondering if this is good enough, followed by days of: am I good enough? Will they hate me for doing that? Did I tell it right? I don't think I have an answer for those questions, but I hope you do come the final page.

I will always love Tallis and her bravery, her steadfastness to do the right thing despite not wanting the responsibility. I will forever cherish Tomas's

*Sigh of contentment* This last MOS book was absolutely satisfying. The crew comes full circle, returning to Selkirk to try and stop Urban and to finally settle the elf-human/political unrest. Tallis spends the book fighting: fighting for allies/support, fighting her foes, and fighting her inner demons. But don't worry, as we all know by now, Tallis is one hell of a fighter. Ultimately, Clayton does right by Tallis and I felt pleased with where her character ends up. While I want to know more ...more

“All this time you’ve spoken to it, looked into your soul, and spied that darkness lurking and twisting through the fabric of all that you are. You fed it nothing but your hatred, your anger and guilt, shame, regret, and yes, your loneliness. It grew fat on all the things you wanted to be rid of. You did not suspect? Did the Tallis never consider the darkness within was looking back? Learning? And growing strong, ever stronger. Stupid, foolish girl. The Tallis never knew! Ignoring it all, stuffing all the bad and ugly things down, down, down doesn’t get rid of them. What you choose to feed your divine spark is what it turns into!” 1 likes
“And who are you really, Tallis? Are you going to be the hero of Selkirk, rather than its monster? A promise of hope, rather than a warning of darker things to come?” 0 likes
