I grew up with a well-used version of this cookbook, and I was thrilled when my mom gave me her copy when I got married. The recipes are delicious, and the food is nourishing. This book is worth buying rather than getting from a library. It's meant to be used in day to day life, and you'll find yourself turning to it often for advice. My copy is from the 1960s. I'm curious about the new version, but I'll still hang onto our family cookbook, stained pages and all. :)

That would be Mrs. S.R. Dull. And don't expect her to accept your correspondence should you address it to Ms. Henrietta Dull. First published in 1928, SC boasts thirty plus pickle recipes!!!
