This module can be played as a stand alone with some adjustments or as part of the four part Zayene series. What is neat about this scenario is the party will adventure in four very different locations with four different ecological hazards and four different antagonists in each. As the second part of the series the party should be more sparsely equipped than they normally are, which heightens the risks and threats of each domain, especially the cold climate.
There is not a large number of encounters, so if you are looking for hack and slash, this would not be it, although there certainly are challenging battles. The biggest thing for me in reading and preparing it is there are a handful of "encounters" or situations the party will likely encounter that must be navigated that can result in death very easily for not only one member but all members.
Noble Knight sells all four as a package with one additional module, which is what I bought. It is a great deal and I look forward to incorporating these into my game.
