Girls fall in love with what they hear. Quinn Thompson I'm head over heels in love with Maiken Maxwell. Everything about him is so perfect from his sandy-blond hair to his kissable lips. Not to mention, he writes me poems. My stomach is constantly filled with butterflies from his sweet words to how special and pretty he makes me feel. Until one girl, one funeral, and one disastrous moment shatters everything. Maiken Maxwell My life has been a series of the good, the bad, and the ugly. My junior year is starting off with a bang. My brother Marcus, now a freshman in high school, is out of control--fighting and mouthing off to teachers. I shouldn't care so much. After all, he's a teenager who is trying to find his way, trying to fit in. But I do care. I'm his big brother. But when a new girl waltzes into our lives, the three things that matter the most to me--family, Quinn Thompson, and basketball slowly become a distant memory.

I love Maiken and Quinn - they are so sweet together. I did not like Marcus in this book and I wasn’t too keen on Sloane. It will be nice to see if my opinions change in future books.
This one was about family and how Marcus’ behaviour impacts on the rest of his family. I feel for Maiken, he had been through so much and the author doesn’t let up on him in this book! Hopefully she will be kinder to him in the next book.
My Heart To Give by S.B. Alexander is a sweet young adult romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Heather Downey and Parker Douglass. This is the third book in the A Maxwell Family Saga series.
I absolutely love Susan's books! She does an amazing job pulling you into the story. I am loving the relationship between Quinn and Maiken. I really enjoyed that we got both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
I can't wait to listen to the next book in the series My Heart To Keep so I can get more of Quinn and Maiken's story.
Heather and Parker did an amazing job on the narration. Their voices were perfect for Quinn and Maiken. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the near future.
I would recommend this book to any one who loves coming of age, young adult, or sweet romances.
This was a tricky read; it spends a bunch of time in the POV of teenagers, but their personalities aren’t a fit. At times they are, but at other times the sound like small children. The author could use a strong content developer maybe, to help with character consistency and development.
This was a DNF for me, due to lack of continuity.
No star-rating since I didn’t make it even to the half-way mark.
Note: I listened to the audiobook; the male narrator was great. Annoying accent, but it seemed to fit. The female, however, was painful to listen to. Maybe she struggled with the accent? She sorta waffled between sounding like a robot and sounding like a human with a mild Southern twang.
Wow what an amazing read! The third book in the Maxwell Family Saga takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride and keeps you wanting more! There is new drama and love, as well as relationships that grow stronger with the challenge they have to conquer. I think this is my favorite thus far out of the series!
As we are getting to know not only Quinn Thompson and Maiken Maxwell, we are also getting to know more and more of Maiken’s family. Not just their personality, but what they are dealing with at such a young age and how they’re dealing with it. Which each one is very different. They came to Massachusetts to stay with their Uncle, Aunt and cousins because of their father’s death. Since then they’ve been dealing with the grief of losing a father, a home, and friends back from their old school. They were dealing pretty well until their mother’s sister, their Aunt, got sick and she had to leave. The family became divided, although Kade took them in and treated them well. He took an interest in what they did, helped where he could. But when one of the boys started acting out, drinking and acting reckless, then things got difficult. Maiken took on the stress of being the oldest and feeling responsible to keep everyone under control, and he started to worry that Kade would make them leave.
I don’t want to say too much, and ruin the story for you! But I will say that this is the most ansgty, stressful book out of the series so far. You DON’T want to miss it!!! If you haven’t started the series so far, I highly recommend it!!! It’s a YA Contemporary Romance and there’s ALWAYS something going on!!! You will love it!!!
Quinn and Makins story continues in My Heart to Give. This story is suitable for younger teens. There is romance but nothing racy. Makin's life gets even more stressful when his younger brother starts acting out, drinking, fighting and going off the rails, pulling Makin into it with him. This is not helped by the new girl at school who has not made a good first impression and whose actions have consequences that will hit the Maxwell family in ways that they do not see coming.
Quinn continues to be head over heels for Makin, and they still don't know what is going to happen while his mum looks after their aunt who is dying. Both have a lot on their mind. Marcus' behaviour impacts their relationship and when Makin's entire future is put at risk their relationship is put under even more strain.
Seriously, how much is one family supposed to take? That is what I asked myself as I listened to My Heart To Give. This is a high angst read and at times it does feel a little too high on the angst but I can see this appealing to a younger reader. (Early teens because while there is a consideration of these two lovebirds taking things further, that is as far as it goes.)
I have to be honest. I didn't love this book but I did like it and will listen to the rest of the series. It is well written and has a good pace, it is just a little young feeling for my taste. Having said that, I know that when my daughter was younger she would have been begging me to get her the next book in this series. The narration was excellent and both Heather Downey, and Parker Douglass delivered strong performances that really gave life to these characters.
My Heart to Give A Maxwell Family Saga, Book 3 By: S.B. Alexander Narrated by: Heather Downey, Parker Douglass
I don't normally listen to young adult stories, but this series has my attention captured. This is the third book of Maiken and Quinn's story, and it's far from over. Some grief and sadness, sibling problems, high school drama and an unbreakable bond keep this story flowing! I am hooked! Each new character brought in has their own story, well developed and giving additional depth and layers to the saga. I can't wait to dig into the final chapter, My Heart to Keep!
Heather Downey and Parker Douglass continue their narration of Quinn and Maiken. They have become the characters and their family. The casting is perfect, with young sounding voices, that air of immaturity, yet sounding wise beyond their years. It's a fun and enjoyable listen.
This was one of the more suspenseful books of this series thus far. We get to learn more about the other Maxwell kids in addition to Maiken- Marcus in particular. Marcus is acting out as his way of dealing with his dad’s death and Maiken and the others are desperately trying to help him. Things get worse when new girl Sloan Pierce takes a liking to Marcus and she isn’t the best influence. Marcus starts drinking more and more and the night of the homecoming dance turns disastrous because of it! Maiken and Quinn struggle a bit in this book, but it’s nice to see their relationship evolve and grow! SB Alexander has delivered again! She has an uncanny ability to put us right there in the scenes along with the characters! I’ve never been disappointed
The perfect series for teens and preteens, a bit of romance while keeping things clean and pure, and the ins and outs of teenage life. This is the third book for Maiken and Quinn, we see them grow and evolve as a serious couple. But, this wasn't just for them. Maiken is the eldest child of eight, currently helping with three of the oldest while living with a cousin. He's desperate to hold it together and save his brother Marcus from himself. However, a new girl moves to town and gives off a troubled vibe. Thank God high school is eons behind me, not sure I could handle the angst and feelings. Maiken and Quinn are definitely a couple with the values I hope my kids will have too. My review was written voluntarily after reading an early copy.
My Heart to GiveBy S.B. Alexander Main Characters: Quinn and Maiken I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author. 5 out of 5 stars This is a clean, sweet coming of age romance. And I loved it. It is a continuation of their H.S. story. So happy that Susan kept the Maxwell series going with eight more cousin siblings. Maiken is the oldest, a junior in high school. I believe this series so far shows how important a family is. It tells the pain and suffering each child goes through after the death of their father. I can look back and see the angst that the two of them go through. These two youngsters handle themselves better than some adults do. Suffice to say, I loved it! Highly recommend it.
Wow I can't get enough of these characters . How much Malkin and Quinn had to face with the new girl Sloane. How Marcus still can't handle with passing of his dadand moving away from his mom. Get in ti fighting in school with his family but Malkin Trying to help him but doesn't know how. I was crying as i reading about the car accident and so sad about that Malkin Might not be able to walk again and that Quinn's was feeling guilty that she Blamed herself for the accident. The love that Malkin and Quinn has for each other. Thank you again for a great story any can't wait to the next chapter and what will happen to Malkin and Quinn their last year of high achool

Omg another amazing book by an incredible author. If I could give more than five stars I would this story made me shed a few tears with all the heartache, sadness, loss and emotional pain that they are all going through. Maiken and Quinn's love gets stronger with time as they go through there relationship with all the ups and downs. Susan is an incredible author and her writing is absolutely amazing and it's an honour to be part of her team. I definitely recommend you read this book and all Susan's other Maxwell Family books and you will not be disappointed as she takes you into the story as if you are living it with them. I Voluntarily Reviewed an ARC Copy Of This Book.
S.B. Alexander has done it again! After reading the first two books in the series, I was anxious to read the third – My Heart to Give. The first two books featuring Maiken and Quinn were very good, but this third one is incredible. I found myself laughing and crying and just being blown away by the raw emotions in this novel. It’s been fun watching the romance between Maiken and Quinn grow as they go through high school. I’ve enjoyed watching them deal with family issues and relationships with fellow students. They have matured as they have grown and dealt with new challenges. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series and see how they progress in their senior year.
I was gifted an ARC of this book to review. Everytime i read one of Susan's books i realise how easy she makes it to completely lose yourself in 'bookworld' the characters in this series are so beautifully written and each book gets better and better. Maiken and Quinn are fast becoming one of my fav book couples, their relationship is so sweet and pure and brings back memories of what first love is all about. This book brings a new challenge for this couple and i couldn't force myself to put it down for even a second. Couldn't recommend this series enough. Well done on another fabulous read Susan.
My Heart to Give continues the saga of the Maxwell cousins. In this novel, Quinn and Maken are juniors in high school. Because of that alone, there is high drama, sibling fights and all the angst that come with being teenagers on the brink of adulthood. Newcomer Sloane has the bad girl attitude that causes the Maiken and Quinn a lot of grief. Her relationship with Maiken's younger brother tears at the fabric of family. But an accident causes many to reassess their lives. This author has a wonderful knack for capturing the essence of high school rivalry and the sweetness of first love. I can't wait to see where this author will take us as the journey continues for the Maxwell cousins.
WOW!!!! I have loved this series since the first book but this third one blew me away! I flew through so many emotions throughout this book. It takes a good book to hold your attention but a great book to read in one day and that is what I did with My Heart To Give! I cried on and off throughout this book! You feel their emotions and walk along their journey with them! I just loved it!! Thank-you for the opportunity to read the arc Susan! You are truly such a talented and gifted writer! I can not wait for book four!
Maiden and Quinn are such beautiful souls, we think life is done throwing challenges on them but little did we know there’s plenty more to come. I love that while yes we see them as a couple we really get more inside their heads as individuals like how Maiken feels this family responsibility and Quinn worrying about the future. I found everything to be relatable and I love seeing Kade in a “more grown up” role as we know what his personal story was and how he has succeeded. You won’t be able to put down!
This is the third book in the Maxwell Family Saga, a spin-off of the Maxwell Series. Quinn and Maiken’s story continues where the second book left off. They are both great characters. The story is emotional, filled with drama, and twists and turns. This is an interesting, and sweet YA romance. Heather Downey and Parker Douglass did a good job with the narration. Looking forward to listen to My Heart to Keep, the next and last book in Quinn and Maiken’s journey. . #TheFlock #ALC #AudiobookObsession
This story continues about Maiken ,Quinn and their families. Their relationship continues to grow, but it's not without some problems. Maiken, becomes more mature and responsible . He is the oldest of his siblings and feels he should be more of a father figure for them. In each story SB Alexander captures The teen angst, and drama that goes on in high school I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this story. Heather Downey and Parker Douglass are perfect for this story. 🎧audiobookObsessionreviewer🎧 #The flock #PinkFlaingoproductions
OMG you have done it again, absolutely loved it, I love Maiken and Quinn, they have been through so much together already, what a rollercoaster, a few tears were shed in this one but I can not wait for the next installment, And even Kody and Jessie were in this one. Thank you so much Susan I love being part of your reader team. You never let us down yet another book that is definitely worth more than 5 stars ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Once again susan didnt disappoint. I loved every thing about this book. My heart to give was beautiful and i love all the Maxwell boys. You still get to read about kade in this book. Maiken and quinn are still together and as got one more year left of high school. Really can't wait to read the next book. Got given an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion. I highly recommend this book. You wont be disappointed.
I absolutely cannot get enough of Maiken and Quinn. Once again S.B. Alexander takes the reader on a wild and emotional ride. This book is filled with typical teenage angst, but you also get a taste of brotherly love and family turmoil. This series gets better and better with each additional book. I cannot wait to see where the next one goes and I hope it sheds more light on the rest of the Maxwell clan.
I voluntarily review an ARC. This is the third part of the Maxwell family series, the books should be read in order. I just loved this very emotional story, the different characters and their developments, the settings, the storyline, the writing style and I loved most the strong love for family members and the continued support. Just when the reader startes to relax, because the worst problems are solved, new drama arrives on the doorstep... Highly recommended series.
I feel in love with this serious with Maxwell men and the continuation of the serieS even better. You fall in love with the characters and have time to grow with them in each book. It's great that it's not one book and done. Each book brings you more closer with the characters.
I Can't wait for the next book, and hope the story continues on with more books about the other brothers and sisters!. Plus let's not forget the first set of Maxwells!
Once again susan didnt disappoint. I loved every thing about this book. My heart to give was beautiful and i love all the Maxwell boys. You still get to read about kade in this book. This is Maiken and Quinn book 3 that starts when they both head into there sophomore year of high school and a new girl starts the same high school that could cause some trouble but you will not know what happens if you do not read this book and now I can not wait till the next book for this series
This is the third book in the Maxwell Family Saga and is once again about Quinn and Maiken. Since the other two books follow the same couple it is best to read them in order. Book one is My Heart to Touch and book two is My Heart to Hold. My Heart to Give does not disappoint. I do not want to give away anything in this fast paced book I could not put down. All I will say is it follows their junior year of high school and new problems come into play. Can’t wait to see what book four has in store for these two.
Oh my heart! This book has the feels galore! There's angst, anticipation, love, sweetness, jealousy, and even more love! Their story is a young love that can stand the test of time. For such young people, they handle themselves more mature than some adults. I just get lost in their story and feel like I'm living it with them. This book was fantastic and one to reread over and over!
Wow what an amazing book! Susan never disappoints!! This book takes you on an emotional roller coaster and keeps you wanting more! The growth and trials Quinn and Maiken show in this book are both amazing and heart warming. I love that shows how important family is in life... I think this is my favorite thus far out of the series
Maiken and Quinn's story continues finally and we get more than what we ask in this their book of their story. But wait, there is more for book four! We get to continue not only their story but with the siblings as well! This was such a beautiful series of two shy people that you get to watch grow through their trials together!
