A Cowboy’s Salvation is first in Megan Ryder’s new Redemption Ranch series and is a Montana enemies of sorts to lovers story. Our heroine, Tara Rawlings, has spent much of her youth at boarding school on the west coast, pushed away by her father and resenting West Morgan and his “brothers” Chase and Ty, who are all boys that her father fostered. She’s always thought that he cared more about them than her and they’ve always regarded her as a spoiled princess. When Tara’s father dies and leaves th ...more

I think what I liked best about this book is both West and Tara had so many preconceived notions and pain to overcome. There is nothing like the emotional wounds we receive as a child to mess with our heads as we go through life.

At times they were both stubborn. They refused to open up and trust each other and talk, each getting in their own ways, which is very realistic and true to life.

This book pulled at my emotions. At times it made me laugh and other times I cried and at times I was so ma

I loved A Cowboy's Salvation! What a swoon worthy read, I just coudn't get enough of hot, hunky Cowboy West and his two brothers. I also loved Tara, a sweet and passionate Interior Designer who's father died and she had to make her way back to Montana. A great story, great setting and awesome characters. I'm looking forward to book 2 Coming Home to the Cowboy due out in September.

I give A Cowboy's Salvation 5 stars for its swoon worthy read.
I would recommend this book to fans of Westerns and Rom

This book is a keeper! The characters are true to life and have depths that evoke empathy. I wanted to wrap Tara up in hug while she is grieving for her father and being ridiculed by the townspeople. I also wanted to give West a good shake, no make it swift kick in his posterior for his treatment of Tara on several occasions. A great story gets the reader involved in what’s happening in the lives of the characters, to almost feel what they are feeling and see what they are seeing. This is a grea ...more

A lovely start to the Redemption Ranch series. Tara gets a call from her nemesis that shatters her already messed up world and turns it upside down. She must now return home to deal with not only her father's death but also the three foster brothers and the ranch that she left behind. West now has to deal with not only losing his mentor but possibly losing the only real home that he and his two foster brothers have ever known. Imagine everyone's surprise when they learn that all four are equal o ...more

What a powerful and moving story! I sympathized with both Tara and Wade and felt their pain from the bitter misunderstandings and youthful trauma both had endured. Their explosive chemistry almost set the pages ablaze but their personalities and goals still scratched like sandpaper so I wondered how they would ever work things out. Plenty of heat, bunches of angst and vivid western ambiance. What is not to love? This book appears to be the start of a series, Redemption Ranch Romances, titles and ...more

She’s running, he’s resentful.

Things always aren’t as they seem.
Tara left the ranch she grew up on and her father. She felt pushed out and replaced by West.

West thinks she’s just a princess (very typical and narrow minded).

Three men were welcomed and she was pushed out and sent away.
I didn’t care for West.
I didn’t really connect with Tara either.

I think I was looking for something fresh with this trope and didn’t find it. Especially when West makes a bonehead move and makes a decision for her.

Made it past the first chapter with its dreadfully convoluted sentences, but I can’t find anything nice about the main characters. She is selfish and brash, he is all male and patronising.

Tara is forced to come home and face the demons of her past and present. I liked that she had this strong head on her and she really seems to take everything in stride. I was however not a huge fan of West I kind of had a love/hate relationship with him. I did like Ty and Chase they always seem to be your typical little brothers who like to pick on the older one. The story did get to me emotionally because with everything Tara faced my heart just broke for her. There is some cursing and sex in t ...more

A heart-warming and promising start to a new series! When Tara Rawlings goes home after her fathers death, she discovers the family ranch was left equally to her and her foster brothers. Both sides have viewed the other in the wrong light while growing up, making them butt heads now. I loved this story and it's genuine message of "don't judge a book by it's cover", which everyone needs reminded of once in a while. I can't wait for the next book in the Redemption Ranch series!

Great start to the Redemption Ranch series.
Everyone seems to have preconceived ideas of one another. Great characters and storylines.
This is the first book I’ve read by the author Megan Ryder. It won’t be the last.
I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

A Cowboy’s Salvation is book one in the Redemption Ranch Series by Megan Ryder.

Tara and West’s love story in A Cowboy’s Salvation by Megan Ryder, book one in her Redemption Ranch series, reminds us that there is more than one way to define home and family. Tara Rawlings didn’t understand why her father sent her away to boarding school after the death of her mother. True, he cared more about the ranch than her or her mother, but the ranch was home. He even seemed to replace her with those boys he fostered. She never did move back, at least until the death of her father. It’ ...more

This series is very well named as the Redemption Ranch because it brings so many aspects of this first, world building Romance into play in the reader’s mind. Yes, the Rawlings Ranch was indeed a place of redemption for West, and his foster brothers Chase and Ty. But it was also the place where the owner’s daughter, Tara, felt least wanted perhaps even pushed aside as the teen boys arrived. Unknown to Tara her father had made it abundantly clear to the boys that his d

West Morgan came to the Double R Ranch as a teenager and was given a second chance at life by the owner, Douglas Rawlings, along with other troubled teens. The biggest rule that Douglas has was to stay away from his daughter, Tara.

Tara Rawlings had always hated the Double R Ranch that was her home. Her mother hated being there up until she got sick and died and all her father cared about was the ranch, and not her. Shortly after her mom's death, her dad sent Tara away to boarding school. When s

This was an interesting story. I was a little perplexed by Tara at first. She first seemed very brash to me. Then after finding out about her inheritance, she was wounded that the ranch was to be split with the foster boys (now men) that her father took in. Her thoughts turn to his rejection of her not being able to care for the ranch. Earlier though, she planned on selling the ranch. That seemed to be a great conflict for me. Tara seemed like the perfect spoiled princess. She wondered where the ...more

This is the 1st book in the Redemption Ranch Series and it is awesome. Weston Morgan got a 2nd chance when Douglas Rawlings gave him a foster home in Montana on his ranch. He was a troubled youth but Douglas saw something in him that reminded him of himself. Over the years Douglas also took in two other boys, Chase and Ty. He also had a daughter, Tara. On his wife’s deathbed, he promised her that he would give Tara the best education she could have and a life of her own away from the ranch. Over ...more

Tara returns home for her father’s funeral to find a cowboy’s things littering her old bedroom. Well, what did she expect, she hadn’t been home in 2 years. She’d passed her father’s room and nosed in West’s Room, her adopted brother’s before going downstairs to the master suite unused since her mother died. Earlier, Wes’ deep, deep basso had announced her father’s death over the phone. The initial creative tension is created by the fact of Tara being an only child and the three young men her fat ...more

This was an ok read for me. I'm giving it 3.5-4 stars because there was some drama, just not enough for me to call it a page Turner.

Tara was sent away for school and she stayed away from the ranch that she grew up on. Her dad wanted the best for her. What Tara didn't know until after her dad passed was that, Tara was kind of spoiled by her dad. She was sent money and the ranch took the hit.
She wanted what was hers, she thought that was the ranch.

Tara Rawlings lives in San Francisco, away from the Rawlings Ranch where she was raised. When she receives the news of her father's death, she returns to the ranch to take care of everything.
Her reception at the ranch was not very good, since her foster brothers, West, Chase and Ty, had never had much contact with her. When Douglas's will is released and they discover that the ranch has been split equally among the four, Tara's initial reaction is not one of the best.

A Cowboy's Salvation by Megan Ryder is an interesting first book in the new Redemption Ranch Series. I would say more interesting than entertaining since the two main characters have some real characters flaws. Not unlike real life, fights over inheritance is very common. In fact, West Morgan and Tara Rawlings may seen tame in light of what can really happen. How a romance come to be from all this is very interesting.

West is much like the typical stereotype cowboy; stubborn, loyal, hardworking

Tara, a partner in an interior design firm in San Francisco, returns to Montana when her father suddenly passes away on his family cattle ranch. There she meets up with West, Chase and Ty, three cowboys who have worked tirelessly on the ranch with her daddy. When the will is read, and they find they have each inherited a fourth of the ranch, the story really gets interesting. West was a troubled teenager when Douglas "fostered" him and guided him to become the hard-working, well-respected man he ...more

This is a wonderful heartwarming story of regret and redemption. Tara's father died, and she's back to the family ranch for his funeral, and to tie up loose ends. The most annoying person in the entire world and her foster brother, West, is still there, and still a major thorn in her side. She's had a rough past year, with the end of her marriage, and estrangement from her father, but she puts her best face forward. When her father's will is read, he's left equal parts of the ranch to her, West, ...more
