Is there really such a thing as a quarter life crisis? You bet your ass there is. We should be married, maybe with kids, have a great job - but have a body like you don’t, and have our lives all figured out. There is this existential pressure on women to have it all and do it all. Even if you rebuff this pressure, subconsciously, it’s still there. Middle fingers up to assu ...more

This is the story of a woman who seemingly has the perfect life but struggles personally with whether she is worthy of a second chance.

If you read book one in this series, you already know the fun vibe of the two main characters. While book one was about Megan Walker and she path to love, this one is about her BFF, Laura Kincaid.

On the surface, Laura has it all.
An awesome job working with her BFF.
That same BFF is a millionaire, which affords the two to have a lot of fun, including riding a priva

Love is not enough emotion to describe how much I enjoyed reading this book. The complex emotions and struggle that both Laura and Max go through before they can share a relationship is enough to bring you to tears. But wait this book isn't just a tear jerker, is is extremely funny as well. The relationship Laura and Megan share is more than just besties, they are sisters in life that compliment one another. All the characters in this book will fill your heart with love and compassion making thi ...more

WOW! Laura & Max’s love blew me away! The friendship between Laura & Megan is a beautiful thing full of love and laughs. Add Justin and you’ll be laughing out loud. I couldn’t put this book down and was up way too late. Great story!

An Arc of this book was provided to me I exchange for an honest review.
I want to preface this review by stating that I did not realize this was the second book in the series until I was finished reading. I believed each of the books to be standalones and now I'm wondering if they were more connected than I realized because I spent a majority of this book confused. I felt like we didnt get to know enough about the love interest (I call him that because honestly he was only in like maybe a third

Laura, or Lo, has it all, or so it seems. Underneath it all, she is just like the rest of us with flaws, insecurities and scars on her heart. After a yearlong vacation with her BFF Megan, the Lottery Lolita, the girls settle in Napa to run their new business. Megan gets engaged to her dream man, and Lo thinks she will be the fun, single friend forever- the one who holds everyone at a distance.

Even though she's living the dream in Napa (who wouldn't kill for those views!!), Lo still has a huge ho

What a journey for Laura! This book is a great example of not judging a book by it’s cover because while things may seem perfect and great on the outside, it’s the complete opposite on the inside. Laura seems to have the perfect life; a great job, great friends and family, and other things, but in actuality she is still dealing with the aftermath and trauma of the loss she experienced years ago. This loss is holding her back in her relationship with Max, and the course of the book deals with bot ...more

This was definitely a great summer read! It was full of absolutely lovable friendships. The friendships that Laura had with Megan and Justin was laugh out loud funny. It makes you wish for friends like that for your own life. They just jumped off the pages at you.

Laura, oh Laura. My heart physically hurt for her. There were so many great lessons and thoughts in this book. I found myself really seeing myself in Laura. Laura really needs routine in her life. She does well with routine. (Although,

This was my first book in this series and I didn't have any problems catching up! This book had me all in my emotions I laughed, cried and yelled several times. This book shows you that love isnt always enough you gotta work hard and keep trying in relationships. Laura is struggling with her past and she constantly is in her head. Max has his own issues with PTSD which is hard. These two both make mistakes and don't wither wanna own up to. But I will say when they get it right its it's pretty aw ...more

This is the second book in this series. Laura seems to be living her dream and working with her BFF as well, but inside the insecurities as hidden, and many obstacles have to be overcome for her and Max before they can move forward into a relationship. This is a good story which is humorous, but to be honest this was not my favorite story as I felt like the story seemed to jump all over the place. I look forward to reading more of her work in the future.

Long and involved, got lost in the words. One of my biggest problems was the use of “endearments”, tiring and just too, too, much. If you read this book, understanding will come. The main character had many and lengthy depressions, anger and self esteem problems, we the readers had no real clue to the reason, other than a tragedy close to the wedding, and this just went on and on until the last few chapters at the end of the book. Good read, for someone other than me.

I really enjoyed this book, I haven't read one from this author in a while and I'm wondering why. She writes so well, you can't help but be pulled in and stay there until you are done. I did enjoy this book and liked the characters, even though at times I felt they were acting kind of childish. I look forward to reading more from this author. ...more

I really enjoyed Midnights & Mimosas. I am new to RL Griffin, but I was intrigued from the first paragraph! I wish I would have read the first book in this series before reading this one. I felt a little lost going in. I thought it was well written with good characters.

I have been waiting for a new R.L. Griffin book and I can say that she 100% delivered! I loved Laura’s story with all my heart, yes I loved her in Sunshine & Whiskey but I have a whole new take on her now! She wasn’t what I expected, her story wasn’t what I expected but damn, I love her.

This is Laura’s journey and as with any book from R.L. Griffin it took me on an emotional ride. Sure she is sarcastic and funny but she’s got some real pain in there too and as it all unfolded it broke my heart a

If you are new to this series and this is the first book you are thinking of reading, I would suggest you read book one first. I came to 'Midnights & Mimosas' first and I felt that I was missing a lot of Laura and Max's back story.

Laura is working alongside her best friend Megan, who won the lottery. Laura has had feelings for Max for a long time but never done anything about it as she feels that he deserves better because she is broken. Laura is still grieving for her fiance who died two weeks

“R.L. is back with book number two in the Drinking Series. I highly recommend you to read book 1 to fully understand Laura and Max’s story.

Midnights &. Mimosas it’s a funny and unique story.

It’s a story about two broken people.

Laura and Max are still weeping a loss. A broken person can’t love someone who’s also broke, right? At least that’s what they keep saying to themselves, denying their attraction but sometimes a special person cross on your pathway and changed your whole life no matter ho

A fun, quirky book from Griffin.
I tried to read this as a stand-alone and I would not recommend it. I think there is a lot of information that is pulled from Megan’s book.
Laura was fun and she had a lot to work through. I enjoyed her personality throughout the book.
Though the book wasn’t my favorite, I still enjoyed it and wanted the best for Laura!

There are so many parts of this story and of the characters that I can relate to. Griffin took some deep subjects such as the death of a loved one and PTSD, while still incorporating humor, to craft a great book.
