Charlene and Tyler
Tyler Price is new in the town of Bandera, TX having just bought the farm outside of town and everyone is talking about the rich extremely handsome young man! Charlene is going back to the General Store, the Apple Tree, she can't help but notice all of the women of town gathered around the front and a wagon she doesn't recognize there also. When she enters she stops, as there stands the most handsome man she has ever seen. Then she gets herself under control and treats him just like anyone else. She ignores him which in turn intrigues him! He gets his supplies and Harold the store owner, helps him put it in his wagon. Only they have a little problem with all the ladies in the way until Harold has had enough and tells them unless they are there to buy something to move on! When Tyler returns home he decides to take a swim and there makes a startling discovery - young indian who has a broken leg! Well he can't just leave him there and since it's a really bad break with the bone protruding out, he knows he has to take him to town to see the doctor. Only when he gets there he realizes he has no idea where to go. Thankfully he sees Charlene and enlists her help. She instructs him to take them to her home and she will go for the doctor. Olivia her mother takes charge even though she has been a shell of herself for two years since the fire that took her husband and two sons. Will the doctor help? What happens next? My review today is on the Western Historical Romance, The Unconventional Bride for the Rancher. This is an excellent story of good versus evil. It's well-written, action-packed, and full of drama. I know you are going to love it.
Charlene Quinn lost her father and her brothers. Her mother can't get over the grief to function so she is all alone. She works in a mercantile store. Her boss tries to match-make but Charlene wants no part of it. She has her hands full with caring for her mother. Then along comes a handsome stranger and everything changes.
Tyler Price is an ex-bounty hunter. He comes to Bandera and buys a ranch to start a new life. He finds an injured Indian boy and takes him into town. He runs into Charlene and she takes him to her home. She blackmails the doctor into caring for the boy. She is shocked to see her mother leave her chair to care for the young boy.
A terrifying journey as men from Tyler's past comes after him plus a man and boys come after them for harboring an Indian. God has a plan for them, a plan for hope and a future. God has a plan for you too, a plan for peace and not for destruction. Give Him your heart and watch Him move in your life.

ONE HEARTFELT ADVENTURE!!!
OH BOY! Talk about putting all of your eggs in one basket. Cassidy doesn't hesitate to put it out there and shake things up a bit. She breaks it down skillfully and brings it together flawlessly. Her eye and mind for detail just blows me away. This baby grabs your attention and holds it from start to finish. Just when you think it can't get any worse. This little gem will keep you in a tail spin and on edge throughout. Cassidy's take no prisoners attitude really set the stage for this stunning storyline and engaging plot. This non-stop, action packed, hard hitting, page turning delight catapults this baby to life beautifully. All the drama, uncertainty, intrigue and suspense make for one fantastic experience. The characters are authentic, relatable and so realistic with such depth and qualities you feel like you can just reach out and touch them. The scenes are so graphically detailed you have no trouble picturing each scenario as they play off one another in perfect balance. Amazing job Cassidy, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.

This is the first book I've read by this author and I will certainly be back for more! The characters grab you from the first page and you can almost feel the heat bearing down on them as they venture out into the dusty Texas streets. Charlene Quinn is trying to take care of her mother after a fire destroys their ranch house and kills her father and 2 brothers. She is working at the general store to take care of them after the bank takes their farm, but her mother has lost the will to live. A new rancher comes to town and he and Charlene feel an immediate attraction - which both try to hide. When Tyler Price finds a wounded Comanche boy on his ranch, he brings him to town and Charlene takes him in. Some members of the town try to kill the boy out of their hatred for Indians. Romance and danger, outlaws, new friendships and a reason to live blossom as they fight for the boy's safety. I heartily recommend this book and look forward to more from Cassidy Hanton

Charlene and her mother live at the end of town and Charlene’s mother is at a loss. She lost her husband and two sons in a fire. She sits all day in a rocking chair starring into the empty fire place. She tends to her mother and works in the mercantile.
Tyler use to be a bounty hunter. He purchased a ranch outside of town. He’s a good looking man with long black hair. All the women are trying to get him to notice them. But he ignores the hens. He meets Charlene in the store and she doesn’t fawn all over him, later on his ranch he finds a young Indian with a broken leg, he takes the young man to town and Charlene tells Tyler to take him to her home.
Trouble brews, more of the story unwinds.

I enjoyed this wonderful story written by a new and up and coming author! The story is written in the time frame of the American Frontier Era and is written with authenticity of the time. Bounty hunter, Indians, small town gossip, struggling families, villians and the Dawson Gang--what a story! Action, adventure, romance--I enjoyed this clean story and found it difficult to put it down. The h. had strength and determination to take care of her mother after a devastating tragedy, as well as stand up to danger & villains, a strong woman in difficult circumstances. And her compassion brought about changes in the entire community. I highly recommend this book. I received a complimentary ARC copy of this book and have voluntarily reviewed it, giving my honest opinion.

I really enjoyed this book, Charlotte and Tyler were well rounded and well thought out, in that they came across as real people not just words on paper to take up space. That means a lost to me . Tyler had bought a ranch and was new in town and definitely not looking for love, Charlotte worked in the general store to support herself and her mother. What brought these two together would unleash hatred beyond anything Charlotte had ever seen. I love stories about strong men and strong women who are not afraid to stand up for what is right in a time where that is not always the most popular thing to do.👏👏 👏BRAVO

This is the first book I've read from this author. I don't read a lot of western romances so I enjoyed reading something a bit different. It's a good story with well-developed characters, but it's not compelling. I never felt any depth of emotion from any of them. Descriptions of scenery and the lifestyle of the time period are vivid and clear. There were opportunities to focus on the emotions of the characters as they endured heartache, but the author squandered her chance to make me feel for them. At one point, the author evokes pity for Ian, but then doesn't do anything to redeem him so he's sent off to suffer whatever fate awaits him. That was disappointing. Overall, the book was okay.

I LOVED this book. Cassidy combined time lines so well that it didn't seem like she even took a
breath between scenes. The twists and turns she took made the book very difficult to put down no
matter how bad I needed to. It's been a long time since a book has done that to me and was a very
refreshing change for me.

Research is paramount
Before anyone writes a book about Texas, they need to research and discover the uniqueness of the country they are writing about. Bandera was founded by Polish Catholics. And the weather in general in the hill country is cooler than South Texas where I live. So, next time you write about Texas, do your research.

Believable, interesting characters - great action - romance
Believable world-building -- the hot desert has such a strong presence that it's like another character in the story. The variety of interesting characters is excellent. Their stories weave together in expected and unexpected ways. An interesting, satisfying read.

I received this book through another authors promotion in exchange for an honest review. A step back in time. I found this book to be well written with characters you love. The writer has a smooth flow that leads you to the satisfaction of a relaxing read.

This is an interesting action packed romance without redundancy. The characters are interesting and realistic and well rounded. I only stopped reading long enough to sleep.

A truly delightful western love story. Be sure to read the extended epilogue. I hope there is a follow up with Ian and the Price family baby. It is well written with wonderfully developed character and a great read for someone, like me, is just getting into this genre.

Exhilarated
This is one powerful story! Its filled with danger, vengeance, and prejudice you almost could hold your breath while reading. Fortunately its tempered by caring people and a sweet romance between two tough and strong people.
