I have been in a book slump of epic proportions and Maddox and Ariel hit the spot. Fiona Davenport has long been a duo that I feel confident grabbing every book. They did not let me down with this one.

-no cheating
-no ow/om drama whatsoever
-no pushing away
-no violence of a sexual nature
-safe neither with others after meeting
-virgin h and long celibate hero
-just ok epilogue which brought my rating down. Only one year and definitely wasn’t far enough out for me

This was so sweet it could give you toothache but if you are looking for a book that’s light cheery and sexy then give this novella a try. I am loving the names of the characters in this series, this book focuses on Ariel and Maddox.

Ariel is running a wedding business with her two sisters Belle and Aurora. She is the master baker of the group in charge of creating wedding cakes but she loves teasing her sisters more than anything and that’s how she finds herself in Maddox’s tattoo parlour. Never expecting to meet the man she has been looking for to be her prince at Ink Addiction she is wary that this chemistry is real and going to last. Can love really happen so quickly?

Maddox Holt owns and runs Ink Addiction the only place to get ink in Vegas the last thing he was expecting when he walked in to the reception was his own little mermaid to be there waiting for him to claim her. He knows that she is the one for him and he battles his inner caveman but knows that he will be claiming his woman as soon as he can. Can he prove to Ariel that what this is, is more than just one time but for life?

Fast moving. Possessive alpha male and a story so sweet it can satisfy any sugar cravings. Great read, safe with lots of heat. Cant wait for Aurora’s book.

That was so sweet and steamy. I loved Ariel and Maddox together. They are one hot couple and hero is one sexy tattoo artist. Sweet epilogue with their baby girl and pregnant heroine. Totally safe: heroine is a virgin and hero celibate for years. Can't wait for more FD books!

Another of the sister's finds her love in this one. Ariel goes with her sister for her to get a tattoo but she's instead marked by the sexy tattoo artist/owner. Typical caveman, jealous/possessive hero who's been celibate for years and a sweet virgin h. Epilogue with one baby and the h pregnant again.

No condoms because I declare diseases don't exist in these books!

This book was discussed in a FB group about how the hero tattoos his mark on the heroine without her knowledge. So of course I had to read it. I’m not sure if it’s wrong of me to get a thrill out of that, but I don’t care. I liked it and enjoyed the over-the-top, instant love story this provided.

Another super sweet FD romance between a tattoo artist, and the woman he claims as his. Witty, sexy and filled with positivity, I really enjoyed this novella and all the growling/ insta love that came with it.

Ariel double dog dared her sister, Belle, to get a tattoo. As the siblings know, you can't not take the dare, so, off to get one they go, Ariel being her support. Walking in, she never expected to get one of her own, nor to literally be marked by the artist giving it. Maddox instantly knows she's meant to be his, and doesn't hesitate to permanently claim her.

They seem like two different people, and they're moving at warp speed, but does time really factor when it comes to true love?

One-click now and follow along as two people discover love at first sight exists and eagerly begin their HEA. On a side note, I can't wait for Aurora's story. Also, I loved "seeing" Knox and his overprotectiveness regarding his sisters in full force.

Cute sweet quick read..

I loveee the sisters in this series the funny double dares!! Ariel double daring her sister Belle to get a tattoo for her hubby (last book) and Ariel ends up getting a tattoo by the owner Maddox who secretly kind of marks her XD bless it was so tiny if it wasn't for someone pointing it out she wouldn't have know lol As for Maddox he was funny, dominate and growly and he wasn't afraid of Knox LOL the relationship is a 0-100 but it was funny and sweet he wasn't stalkerish and wasn't to over protective. so probs for that.

I can't wait to read Aurora's story her chapel of love vs the divorce lawyer guy next door

Loved this next story! Maddox is hot! He and Ariel are instantly in love. It was interesting to go a bit backwards in their relationship. I love that there’s no angst and no other woman drama in this series. Looks like Aurora’s story is next, but oh so can’t wait for Knox!

The only reason that Ariel is at the tattoo shop is because she double dog dared her sister to get a tattoo. What she didn't expect was to be sitting in the tattoo chair herself getting a tattoo that would soon seal her fate.
Maddox maybe the best tattoo artist around, but he's always had this one specific tattoo in his head waiting for the right woman to wear it. The moment Ariel walks into his shop, he knows that she is going to wear his stamp forever.
It doesn't take much to convince her of the tattoo when her sister steps in, but when she finds out what's really in it, how mad is she going to be at Drake? Or will she accept what's between them so they can live out their HEA??

Good

This was a sweet and definitely sexy read. Maddox knows the instant he sees Ariel that she is 100% his and that he has to mark her immediately, which he does because he is a tattoo artist. These two move at warped speed. It’s literally meet, tattoo, sex, moving in, marriage, baby in a blink of an eye.

Completely safe. No om/ow drama. H has been celibate for years and h is a virgin. No abuse and virtually no drama.

I am going to start putting this in my reviews, enough with the constant giggling. I really don’t know women who just constantly giggle. Can women not laugh anymore? This is really becoming a pet peeve of mine. Giggling is annoying.

If you’re looking for something to cheer up your mood and fast paced, you are at the right place.
For a short read, it is full of steams but also humor and second degree.
It is a fun story with the perfect alpha obviously on the caveman side but ready to anything for his girl and the sweet and loving young woman who is his second half.
Her light fills his shadows, together they are whole.
Can’t wait for the next in this series.

Plot: Ariel took her sister, Belle (Rock-a-Bye, Baby: A Vegas, Baby Novella to get a tattoo, and meets the tattoo artist, Maddox. He does a tattoo for Ariel, a design of his own that included his initials, ensuring that she would be back, if for nothing else, then to yell at him. It was love at first sight though, so any fighting didn't last long.

Character development: I loved that he called her "little mermaid" - I'm sure she hated it (from anyone else) - I mean, names Ariel, red hair - so cliche! But I thought it was cute. But this book had more cringey dirty talk - "baby batter" and other synonyms along those lines.

Another great read by Fiona Davenport. I really enjoy these short insta-love stories where the H falls hard and fast for the h. Perfect mix of family, friends and love. Not just a quick wham bam you're knocked up.

3 stars. This book was only okay to me. I like Fiona Davenport's books in general. Some of them are really good and are comfort reads for me that I've read numerous times. But lately I haven't enjoyed their newer stuff as much. They have gotten kind of cookie cutter in terms of character personalities. The heroes are overly bossy and sometimes rude without much of a sweet side to counteract that. The heroines are all exactly alike each other. There is nothing that sticks out to make the book different or special and I also find the books lacking in chemistry. However, Baby Cakes' story had potential. Wedding cake baker Ariel's sister dares her to get a tattoo from tattoo shop owner Maddox. Instalove and instalust ensues. This was not a bad book. I found Baby Cakes to be relatively entertaining, just not very memorable. Still, this book is quick, easy read that I think many readers would enjoy.

Ariel is with her sister Belle, after daring her or should I say Double Dog Daring her they are off to get her tattooed. But upon entering the tattoo studio Ariel is in for way more than she expected.

Maddox Holt runs and owns Ink Addiction the premier place to inked in Vegas. When he walks out to front of his studio and spots Ariel it’s game set match. She’s the one. And she’s about to find out just how possessive an Alpha can be.

It was over to quickly. If you want an over the top Alpha who will have you under him is minutes and who will do all he can to put a baby in your belly? Then get ready for Maddox.

"I Double Dog Dare You"

Ariel and Maddox are light and dark surrounded by cakes and ink and fit so well together it's as if they were made for each other.
It's fast but you can't put a timeline on love.
This novella is sexy sweet and really gives you all the feels aswell as making your kindle sizzle.
You really need to buy/borrow this novella asap.

What do I love more than an OTT hero who taps into his unknown Neanderthal side at first sight of the heroine? A strong heroine with an affectionate and loving relationship with her family; and to my ever loving delight, this story has both. Loosely connected to "Rock-A-Bye, Baby', this story is about Ariel, the baker and sister introduced in prior book and Maddox, a tattoo artist and business owner.

Beyond the characteristic heat and humor I always expect from this writing duo's books, I loved the fact that Maddox and Ariel were mature (and I don't mean old!) business owners as well as artists. That shared combination of creativity as well as practicality made me believe that their relationship would work realistically.

I would love to see this story expanded on as I would love to watch Maddox and Ariel really grow and develop as a couple, particularly against the the backdrop of her close knit family (especially overprotective big brother Knox), but I am sure we will catch glimpses of them in upcoming books. (Hint)

Baby Cakes was a cute novella. I loved the beginning, but I have to admit, as soon as they started having sex my eyes glazed over. I liked the fact that all the sisters are named after Disney princesses and their relationship. I'm curious if Aurora will be getting her own book....
