I’m not sure where to start, as this is a debut book I wasn’t sure what to expect but this was a fantastic story from start to finish I was captivated by the story telling and the backstory.

Brooklyn is living a life that she has never wanted, her dreams of dancing ballet cast aside so that she can make her father happy on her way to being married to man she doesn’t love and being a part of a society that glosses over the cracks. She is feeling trapped and confused the night that she meets Trevor and soon finds herself embroiled in a plan she has no idea about and a love that she believes is unbreakable only to crash and Burn. Will Brooklyn survive the fall out of her heartbreak and find her way in the world or return to the life that will ultimately destroy her?

Trevor is finally getting to the point he wants to after his early childhood was destroyed by Brooklyn’s father. He has spent years trying to look after his mum and brother and find a better way to live. After he is turned away again by Arch Winslow and refused the money they are owed he decides to take his revenge by using the one person he knows will destroy him, Brooklyn his little princess but when he finally gets beneath her defences she is nothing like he thought and can see she deserves so much more. Never expecting to feel anything for Brooklyn can her really destroy her and will she forgive him when she discovers she was just his pawn?

An honestly brilliant book that in my opinion is entertaining, engaging and hot read. I am voluntarily reviewing an ARC of this book but I am buying a copy too I enjoyed it that much.

I was a beta reader for Olivia Peters and I have read all iterations of Sweet Redemption, including the final version that goes live on July 3.

I really enjoyed Olivia's debut novel and I will definitely be on the lookout for her next book. The ending has a plot twist that I didn't see coming and the sex scenes are STEAMY.

I highly recommend it.

At first congratulations Olivia to your first hot as hell book 🔥👏🔥👏🔥👏.
I loved every second of it 😍.
The story has a very interesting plot, is exciting and very emotional.
Sweet Redemption shows
an absurd world of rich businessmen and their women, who are at the mercy of the men surrounding them.
A story that begins as an act of revenge and develops into a wonderful love story with a lot of drama and heartbreaking emotions (By now you already know that I love drama, right? 🤗 )
What begins with a lie, and revenge, evolves into flight from the golden cage to a future where money plays no role and love dictates life.
Even though Brooklyn made me scream several times, because she just couldn't decide what she wants for herself and was really naive at times, her character and behavior has given the story the feeling of the brainwashing she has endured her entire life.
Trevor is the complete opposite. He has never experienced what it is like to have a lot of money. His life was a nightmare from the beginning. That's why he dedicated his life to revenge.
Well, when you love drama, heartbreak and pure motions, then you've to read this book.

Loved it! Hot and steamy...but sweet. I fell in love with the characters, their backstories made them believable. Also thee chemistry between Brooklyn and Trevor was dynamite. Plus I’m a sucker for a bad boy who has a heart. Looking forward to the next release from Olivia Peters.

Sweet Redemption by Olivia Peters
Twist of Fate #1

Debut author Olivia Peters had created a book that has a poor child made rich who then finds herself living the life her father envisioned for the family. Her father came from a poor background, did well and then...lost sight of what was truly important. When called on his methods by Trevor he pushed him away, threatened him and set his daughter, Olivia, up for a difficult situation. Okay...sitting here thinking about it...why would a parent put his dreams before those of his child? I guess I sort of understand this but...not really. Her father seemed to want to further his own ambitions, irregardless. I mean...why would a father not take into account his daughter’s dreams? Olivia wanted ballet, her father wanted something else...she lost herself in some ways and then later found herself in other ways. Olivia ends up questioning her goals and wants and her father’s aspirations for her and in the midst of this turmoil meets a man that will bring her a HEA that she has always wanted. Although...it won’t be an easy journey for either of them.

Well written, thought provoking, a journey...always hoped the H/h would find their HEA.

Thank you to the author for the ARC – This is my honest review.

Sweet Redemption by Olivia Peters
4/5 🦄

The Short Version:
Overall, an insanely readable novel, perfect for when you just want a reliable contemporary romance to sink your teeth into like a ripe peach 🍑 . Not too long or too short, with just the right amount of drama (aka, a whole lot) and mystery (tall, dark strangers are trope for a reason) combined with some fiery passion and instalust (is it hot in here? 🔥). Check it out!

Synopsis:
Brooklyn is stuck in a life she hates. Her boyfriend of ten years seems more interested in her father than her. She works a corporate job at her father's company instead of doing what she loves. She lives in her father's building in a sterile, designer penthouse that doesn't feel like home. She's only 25. The life she wants just doesn't seem to be the life she can have, and what's worse is that everyone around her seems to accept that this is the way things are. Men are cheaters. Women are silent and accept the apology jewelry and trips without complaint. This is the life of money and privilege. Opportunity cost. The world goes around. Being self aware just means that Brook knows she is playing it safe and participating in her own unhappiness, especially when it comes to love and ballet.
Enter Trevor. Trevor is finally standing on his own two feet after a rough start at life, all because of Brooklyn's father. Bitterness and hatred eat at him. All he wants is to be better able to take care of his mom and brother who live in subsidized housing in a bad neighborhood. So when demanding the money he feels he deserves doesn't work, he decides to go for the throat and target Brooklyn for his next scheme. But she's not what he expects and far better than he deserves.

Pros and Cons:
This book was insanely readable. You do have to get over a few things, like Brooklyn's self-awareness about what makes her unhappy and her complete lack of initiative to change things. That was particularly frustrating in the beginning. Also, if you hate books/stories with any cheating situation or drinking issues, you probably won't enjoy this one. But (here's all the good things!) the story and the writing are very well done, with well developed characters. There is a fair amount of suspense and you may reach a point where you are just sitting on the couch shouting, "Just tell us already!" But the wait is worth it, if slightly predictable. This book isn't doing anything really new, it's just doing some very classic, contemporary romance really well--AND BY GOD ARE THESE SCENES STEAMY! I won't say more but I'm ready for my cold shower. I also really love some of the side characters, though some are less fleshed out--possibly because this is going to be a series. I am personally shipping the best friends of the protagonists, Maddie and Zane, and want them to have their own book. *hint, hint*

Warning: If you have a problem with cheating, this book may not be for you.

Brooklyn is a young woman that wanted to attend to Julliard and dance as a way of life. Her father was not in agreement and she ended up being his right hand at the successful company he built. She's dating Jake for years but as far as marrying him, she's not sure if he's the one.

Trevor knows who Brooklyn is and he approaches her because he wants revenge on her father. What he was not expecting was to find that she wasn't like the man he hated and falling in love was just a matter of time. He fell hard for Brooklyn but life never gives you love easily.

The writing was well done. I can't talk about grammar or sentence structure because I'm no expert, better yet I'm not a native English speaker. What I can tell you is that nothing jumped at me as a blatant writing mistake.

Something that other readers may not like is the fact that Brooklyn didn't fight for what she wanted from the beginning. I can totally relate to her when her father tells her that He knows what's best for Her. I had this done to me and for that reason, I can understand her actions and the inevitable results by the end of the story.

The plot touches on a topic that we know happens almost daily in the world but nobody talks about it. Cheating is not right, don't get me wrong, but I think Olivia Peters did a great job using this reality in her fiction novel. I feel like this book is a breath of fresh air and quite relatable. It's very down to earth and I loved it.

Another thing I loved was the difference between what we normally see in romance: The billionaire sweeps the poor girl of her feet and they live happily ever after. Trevor does not have money as Brooklyn father does and when she's forced to choose, she trades money for love leaving her previous life behind.

I would totally recommend this book for those that love down to earth, realistic and relatable romance novels.

Disclaimer: I received an ARC e-copy from the author and I'm leaving this review voluntarily.

SWEET REDEMPTION (Twist of Fate 1)
By Olivia Peters

Olivia Peters delivers such a strong debut novel. I was hooked from the beginning to the very end. There is cheating in this book which is normally a hard limit for me but it was done in a way where you don’t know to find it as cheating. It is almost a Friends type of situation where “we were on a break” type of argument.

Brooklyn and Trevor couldn’t be more opposite but their chemistry and connection were off the charts. There was plenty of steam and drama throughout the book.

Sweet Redemption will have you captivated. Olivia Peters does not disappoint. This is a must read!

Olivia Peters is a new to me author and this is her debut novel.

Fair warning, if you are not a fan of cheating in books then this one may not be for you.

Trevor is man out for revenge and Brooklyn is all part of his game to destroy her father. He wants her father to pay for his father’s death, for the pain he caused his entire family.

Brooklyn’s life revolved around dance, she was bound for Julliard. However, her father had other plans and wanted her to join the family business. To the outside she had the perfect life. She had the perfect boyfriend, the man she had been with for a decade. But she wasn’t happy and that all came to a head when she runs into a handsome stranger, Trevor.

Brook’s best friend Maddi stands by her side through all the drama, the secrets and the pain she goes through in her relationships and with her parents. Maddi also has what people think is the perfect life and relationship, but it’s not. These two understand each other on so many levels and truly are the perfect pair of best friends.

Now, Brook and Jake. I didn’t like them together from the start. I didn’t feel any chemistry between them or any connection. They were truly the makings of a marriage of convenience, but with no love and no chance of falling in love. Plus, his best friend Noah was also a major jerk.

Brooklyn and Trevor had all the chemistry that Brook and Jake lacked. It was explosive from the very start and these two didn’t hold back when it came to each other. Brooklyn knows she is cheating, but after what Jake did, I almost feel like she justifies her actions when it comes to Trevor.

There is plenty of drama, steaminess and mystery throughout the story that it completely sucks you in. Will Brooklyn follow her heart or will she stick with what is expected of her?

A fantastic debut novel and completely worth the read!

Sometimes real love comes from the most unexpected place and the fact that it could come from hate it's always a good thing in my opinion as they already know what it's the worst thing that can happen.
Blinded by his hate for her father, Trevor doesn't realise that he's actually falling in love with Brooklyn.
Brooklyn has the life of every socialite person but she hates it, even if she does what is expected from her, she prefers to dance and dreams of one day accomplishing her dream. Her longtime fiance is not making it easy for her either, so when a stranger that gives her all of his attention comes along she'll take the opportunity.
The writing was good, the chemistry was felt within the pages and the characters have grown by the end of the story. I can't wait to read the second book about the secondary characters in this series as they seem so interesting and I'm sure we are in for a ride.

A fast paced, sexy, passionate debut novel.

I loved Trevor’s character.
I even liked Jake to a degree, even though he made a couple of bad decisions.
I couldn’t fully connect with Brooklyn but I understood the pressure on her to try and do what she thought was right by her parents. When she was with Trevor she became a completely different person and it was great to see Trevor bring out another side of her.
I really hope that we’re getting a second book soon and that Maddie & Griff get their HEA. Hell, I’d even like a book about Jake!
Five stars for a book that kept me hooked all the way until the end.

Brooklyn and Trevor couldn't be more different. A girl that lives a life of riches and can get whatever she wishes for and a boy that grew nearly all the time hungry and fearing for his safety.

Brooklyn is about to marry her long-time sweetheart, all her future is planned and tailored to represent the life she is living in, but her dreamer's soul is bleeding with a longing for something more, something different. No wonder that when she meets Trevor the chemistry between them grows fast and the sparkle lights in her effortlessly.

“I want to be happy and in love. I want to love someone so much I can’t breathe, think, or sleep. I want to be consumed.”

Trevor planned to destroy Brooklyn and was raging with revenge when he met her first time, which was planned and well prepared. But he didn't plan their encounter to end the way it ended. Trevor didn't even dream to fall head over heels in love with Brooklyn but what started as coldhearted planned revenge it ended as beautiful disaster.

"She surprises me in every possible way, and it’s a devastating realization that I’ve found the exact girl I never even knew I wanted in my life, and I’ll never be able to keep her. I’ve already doomed our future."

Is their love stronger than betrayal and lie, will they be together or will they be the end of each other?

Well written debut novel perfectly paced and with enough action to keep you turning the pages.

Brooklyn has been with Jake for years but she’s starting to realise there’s more to living than what she’s doing. With a rich, overbearing father, a clueless, work obsessed partner and a career that she never really wanted, Brooklyn’s eyes are been opened to what her life is shaping up to be like and she’s not sure it’s what she wants.

Trevor has wanted to get his revenge on Brooklyn’s father for years and he knows the easiest way to do that is through his precious daughter Brooklyn. What starts off as a plan for revenge soon changes when he discovers Brooklyn isn’t what he was expecting and he finds himself spending more time with her. It’s not long before the connection between them makes him question his plan and what he’s going to do now he’s developing feelings.

I know a lot of people don’t like cheating in books but I’m one of those that love it. If it’s done right. Olivia Peters manages to make you understand what the characters are feeling and understand why they feel the need to take the roads they do. Don’t get me wrong there were times these characters really frustrated me. Brooklyn for letting things go to keep others happy at the cost of her own dreams and happiness and for been a bit of a walk over, Trevor for been so hell bent on revenge that he’s willing to hurt innocent people to get what he wants but overall I found something about both characters that I really liked.

Sweet Redemption was hard to put down. It’s full of secrets, betrayal, lies, drama and chemistry. The characters weren’t anything like I was expecting and I was really hoping Brooklyn was going to make the right choice. A really good debut book by this author and I can’t wait to read more from her.

Olivia Peters' debut novel did not disappoint. I have to admit, flaws and all, Trevor was my hero! There’s nothing like a bad boy (by circumstance) that gets my heart racing. 🔥

Brooklyn is a sweet girl with a domineering father trying to run her life, to include who she marries.

Jake is her longtime boyfriend. He is more worried about impressing her father to further his career than making her a priority though.

In comes bad boy Trevor to shake things up with his own agenda, at least in the beginning. And when unexpected things happen, at the end Brooklyn is faced with a decision she didn’t see coming.

The slow burn of Brooklyn and Trevor’s relationship keeps you turning the pages. Not to mention the budding romance between Maddie and Griff which you’ll want more of!

Brooklyn’s lack of decision making on her own behalf bothered me at first. But after seeing how her father tried to control her, I was so happy when she finally stood up for herself. That’s what I like in a heroine!

This book had all the feels along with steamy, detailed sex scenes. It was a great book to curl up with.

Nice job on your debut novel Olivia!

THE GUIDE TO ROMANCE NOVELS REVIEW

This is a NEW to me author & books! Very first by this lovely soul of a person, gah I have been waiting for this and finally! This is a enemy-to-lovers very intense romance!

Brooklyn is Trevor's game, she doesn't know it but she will. Trevor is out for revenge and blood, and who ends up in the middle..little Brooklyn. Little did she know, but what does she need to worry about...she has a loving fiancee who spoils her, a father who she now works and hopes to take over for one day...she is living a surreal life. Really. It did take me a little to get into the beginning, there is a lot of information therefore paying extra attention to it all. Plus, I am old fashioned and when there is a man involved that is not the hero...i get a bit jealous and slightly crazy, so. Don't mind me!

When you're in the circle of the Rich & Powerful...lines can be blurred at times. Meaning, you're in the public's eyes always, something is published about you...secrets, scandals and so forth. Brooklyn is starting to think, will this be her life...a life just like her best friend Maddi...I'm going to say the keyword in all this being BETRAYAL!

I really like this from the Book:
My mom always said the richest, most beautiful woman are loneliest because either no one dares to speak to them, or they're trapped in marriages of convenience. -Trevor

Trevor...the mysterious dark man. Someone Brook finds she can't deny or not be around, he is different and treats her like a woman. So what does she do...she agrees...then gives him all the information he is looking for. But the big bad wolf even a mysterious handsome man in the dark, can be dressed as a sheep. I don't know how I feel about if I feel bad for Brook or if I want to say, you kind of deserve it, given the circumstances...but she is kind of at fault by association due to her family.

The fine lines of everything get crossed, more mystery and more scandal and lies. Will Brook be able to finally chose, to make her on choices in general and to forgive!!!! Trevor is a regular man, a job, something he is proud of has and built. He is caring even if he makes mistakes and through out the whole book i genuinely believed he liked her. But again, even the not so rich, makes mistakes...umm, dress as sheep while they are a wolf. This book is very well written, smooth words, plot is great and still lot's of fun and entertainment. After that little glitch at the beginning for me, once it picked up, I couldn't put the book down! Beware, in the end not everyone is as they seem! That's all I'm saying!

Sweet Redemption by Olivia Peters is a seductive and riveting read! I love a good forbidden romance, and debut author, Olivia Peters, was certainly up to the task! Expect scorching hot chemistry, secrets, betrayal, and a connection sure to burn up your kindle! Combined with repaired family-bonds, redemption, and a journey to follow one's dreams, Sweet Redemption is a well rounded read!

If elements of infidelity or instalove are not your thing then Sweet Redemption isn't the read for you. I didn't mind the element of cheating, but had hoped for more angst in Brooklyn's decisions and behavior. I absolutely loved Trevor's character, but did struggle to connect with Brooklyn.

If you're looking for a read to suck you in, and not let go, one-click Sweet Redemption by Olivia Peters today!

For starters, HOLY &*%$, I loved this book! Everything from the writing style to the characters to the plot (and let’s not forget the scorching hot sex scenes!!)—love love loved it all. There were times when I wanted to throw my kindle and/or reach through it and smack both Brooklyn and Trevor, but that’s also what made it great. They were both very well-developed characters, and their chemistry was seriously explosive! I also loved that both characters had their own struggles and their own flaws to figure out. Trevor and Brooklyn’s relationship was messy and complicated, but just made their journey more believable, gave it substance.

I devoured this book in a twenty-four hour span, and for me, that’s the best way to tell it’s a fantastic read. Can’t wait to read Olivia Peters' next book!

The first book in the Twist of Fate Series is a raw and emotional story that is well written. Brooklyn and Trevor's story kept me turning pages. There is one thing though,I am hoping the next book continues their story as this book left you kind of hanging. I will just have to wait and see what happens in the next book. This is the first book by this Author that I have read and it looks like this is her debut book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Sweet Redemption is the debut novel from Olivia Peters and I absolutely loved it! Such an amazing start to her writing career.

Brooklyn and Trevor are complete opposites. But you know what they say, opposites attract. That statement has never been more true than with these two. Brooklyn is a naive, almost sheltered girl. She strongly believes the things that she was taught to believer her entire life. Trevor the didn’t grow up with money, and has way more life experience.

Every good little be story starts with revenge and Brooklyn and Trevor are no expectation. Their story starts with revenge and ends in true love. The instant, forbidden kind with enough sexual tension to make you never put the book down, add the plot twist and you have a phenomenal novel.

5 stars and more for Olivia Peters and Sweet Redemption. I cannot wait to see what she does in book two!

All five stars are for Trevor (yum)

Trevor is exactly the stuff a book boyfriend should be made of. Strong, sexy, and complicated, this man can use me to screw my dad over any day. Seriously, though, this book had a great story, great push and pull on the romance aspect, and plenty of well-developed characters. Unfortunately I wasn’t Brooklyn’s biggest fan, as she couldn’t seem to make decisions for her own happiness to save her life (almost literally), and though Trevor thought of her as making him into a better man, I really think he did the same for her. And did I mention the sexy parts are smoking hot? In short, a fantastic read all around.

Oh my gosh! Y'all! I got an ARC from the author to read this book! I gobbled this book up in a day. I could not put it down. I don't even know where to begin on how delicious this book was.

Brooklyn is a lost girl stuck following her daddy's dream for her instead of her own. She wants a simple life and to live her dream. Instead she is being pressured to marry for convenience.

Trevor is a bad boy. He just wants justice. He is going to use Brooklyn to get his justice. Except he doesn't plan for falling in love with Brooklyn. And he falls hard.

This book is steamy, beautiful, and thoughtful. I mean those scenes....steamy, steamy, steamy. Then the twist at the end. Twisted fate is right. I cannot wait for the next in the series. CHECK IT OUT!

Sweet Redemption by Olivia Peters
Twist of Fate #1

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of Sweet Redemption, and of that I’m very grateful. Release Date is 03/07/19!

Now, from my understand this is Olivia first book that she is publishing, and for a first book damn girl it’s amazing. I was hooked from the very beginning. But before I go to much in to this book, it does involve some cheating, so if that not for you that’s fine but you have been warned.

Now, Brooklyn is a young lady who grow up on the wrong side of the tracks and whilst there her main gate away was dancing, she loved it. It was all she wanted to do, so when you go accepted in to Julliard she was over the moon.

But, she dad never liked her dancing and when she was old enough her dad put a quick stop to her passion and made her joint his company in which “he” founded to make them who they are today. Now Brooklyn is twenty five and almost engaged to a man who she isn’t sure she want to spend the rest of her life with, and that point is proven the night she meets him.

Trevor has had a hard life, he’s grown up on the wrong side of the tracks his whole life and when he was younger after his father passed away, it was him and his best friend Griff.

Now he’s older and trying to look after his kid brother, and the only way he think he can help is to try and destroy his dad old business partner Arch. After a few year of trying Trevor almost give up until he remember about Arch daughter Brooklyn.

This book is a hot and steamy read and I’m very much looking forward to what Olivia comes up with next.

This is a debut novel for Ms. Peters and she was so kind to send me a copy of Brooklyn and Trevor's story. There is cheating, so if you have trouble with that in fiction, this definitely won't be a read for you.

Brooklyn is in a long relationship, pretty much approved by their families. Her dad is powerful in his industry. She is supposed to eventually take over her fathers company at some point in her life. Though, she is a dancer, but her father sees it as a hobby and not a career. So, she is pretty much doing what she's "supposed" to do. She is also questioning her relationship with her fiance' Jake also.

Trevor, has had sort of a rough life, he definitely did not grow up privileged like Brooklyn. He is trying to make it through life, take care of his brother and get his drug/alcohol dependent mother. Its like he's the grown up. It was pretty sad to read what he has to go through on a daily basis. The frustration, the care he has for his brother. He blames what happened to his father on Brooklyn's father, though, Brooklyn has no idea of their connection. They end up meeting, while in the beginning, his intentions were manipulative and mean, he was doing it for the survival of his family. These two fall hopelessly in love with each other.

I liked these two together. The chemistry, the sparks, the fireworks! Super steamy. Olivia has got that down! They matched well together. I enjoyed their story. I'm hoping their best friends get their happy ever after.

A sexy, steamy novel with a great storyline.

Brooklyn a young socialite with new money is struggling with her place in this new society. She has the perfect apartment, job, and boyfriend, but does she really want these things in her life. At the beginning of the story I thought it was going to be a story of “poor little rich girl”, but as it progressed I began to understand her hesitation of wanting to be part of this world. Being “arm candy” or the “perfect spouse” without love and respect was not what she wanted marriage to be. She wanted things that made her feel alive, like ballet, which she gave up at the demand of her father to work in the family business.

Trevor's motivation for the revenge scheme was questionable at first. He was a hot head whose family was destroyed by Brooklyn's dad. The specifics wasn't explained right away, so there was a possibility he may have misguided blame.

The fireworks between Brooklyn and Trevor are instant and the heat between them is hard to ignore. As their relationship builds, you are in a state of suspense on how it will work. Will Trevor tell Brooklyn who he is? Will Brooklyn forgive Trevor? Can Brooklyn leave the life of a socialite? Will she miss the money?

It is a steamy story, but there is never a gratuitous sex scene just to add one in. Each scene fit perfectly with the story. I really had a hard time putting this one down.

A 🌟🌟🌟🌟1/2 star read!

The chemistry between Trevor and Brooklyn sizzled and the sex scenes were explosive. There's an underlying theme of betrayal, but since we get insight into both perspectives, Trevor becomes a sympathetic character when pieces of his backstory are revealed.

We know that he's planning to do something to Brooklyn, but it's not revealed what that something is until later in the book. I was sure that I knew what was coming - and I did - but there was a twist I wasn't expecting that added context to earlier scenes and made me say, "ah ha."

Brooklyn really came into her own, which was amazing to read. I also adored her relationship with her best friend, Maddie, and I really hope the next book in the series is about Maddie and Griff. Trevor went from angry boy to selfless man and there were scenes that had me in tears.

Overall, Sweet Redemption was a great read. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys contemporary romance and who may be sick of the "billionaire and baby" trope and wants to see it turned on its head. It's nice to see the woman being rich for once!

Hot. Hot. Hot. My cheeks were on fire and I literally needed a fan to cool myself down.

OLIVIA PETERS congratulations because this is an amazing debut!

Emotional. Angst. Exciting and steamy as hell! Hate-to-love. Who doesn't love enemies to lovers books. Rich vs. The working class. Two worlds collide and I swear you won't regret reading this novel!

Brooklyn is a strong woman who wants to experience a different life, than the one she's living in--the one she's born into. Although her marriage isn't an arranged one, it might as well be, considering the two families are in buisness with each other. Lets face it, they're both from the same rich pot, where the men are the 'i-can-do-what-i-want,' type.

Until Brooklyn sees the light.

Trevor, oh wowza, Trevor is your sexy hunk, and his childhood was destroyed by the one and only Arch Winslow, Brooklyns father. The hatred is there and so is the revenge.

Like I said, thrilling, sexy and such a brilliant read!

***** (5*) - it's so worth it!

I really enjoyed this read, the book is well written and you get curious about the characters from the start. I did need to read a bit before I was fully onboard Trevor's plan to seek revenge over Brooklyn's father. But I wanted to know the FULL story behind his hate for the man. A father who thinks he knows what's best for his daughter, very controlling and never really sees his own daughter for who she is. It is a fabulous first book the author has written here, and I'm looking forward to read more from her.
The characters were interesting, and compelling. The instant spark between them intensified along the story and plot. Neither of them is able to resist the other. The hot passionate steamy scenes was very well written and you could feel the fire between them.
I did try real hard to like Brooklyn's friend, but not sure she connected to my heart in this. I could be interested to read her story, she does strike me as a character that could evolve and change if she found her own big and forever love.

I wanted to read and review this book after reading the blurb. The line, “… healed everything that was broken inside me” made me think that Trevor would be a little bit broody. When I see “broken” in a book’s blurb I always want to find out why the character is described/labeled that way. I couldn’t wait to dive into the story.

I wanted to love this book. However, I had to re-read a few parts before I fully understood what was happening. Granted, that may just have been my issue. I had slight difficulty keeping track of the characters’ interactions with each other. Also this is a very hot book. I suspected this would be a spicy read from the blurb, but it’s exceptionally so. However, it didn’t affect my enjoyment of this book.

Trevor initially didn’t care for Brooklyn, but that all changed. This was an “enemies-to-lovers” story and thanks to Olivia Peters and her well-written story, “Sweet Redemption”, I am now a fan of that trope.
