An introduction to pyramids of the world, especially those found in Egypt, their structure and purpose.

This may be short but it provides a pretty good intro to pyramids and Egyptian uses of the structures. Good for a nonfiction read for lower grades or Egypt studies in the lower grades.

Notes on content: Details on mummification procedures are kept minimal.

I love this series. National Geographic does such a nice job on the visuals and targets it's young audience without sounding overly simple. My seven-year-old read this out loud to me and we both enjoyed it. It's so nice to find books that are both educational and enjoyable.

This was an okay book. Very very basic knowledge. It’s a good introduction if you know basically nothing about pyramids. It also has some pronunciation help throughout the book but it’s for the most basic of words rather than words I think would actually need the pronunciation help.

Informative, but entirely specific to Egypt. (I was excited by the prospect of a book about all kinds of pyramids, based on the title.) Also, I know King Tut's full name is a big mouthful for beginning readers, but I feel like it should have been given at least once in the text.
