This book is beautifully illustrated and all the little creatures have a flock covering, which makes it very soft when you stroke the animals.
Little Rabbit is the smallest in his family and feels left out, as everyone is so busy, so he runs off to find a new family. He meets a number of different animal families and tries to join in with them, but quickly realises that he doesn’t belong in these families. Poor little rabbit is quite sad and feels very homesick. However, in the meantime his family have been searching for him, and have missed him very much, so they welcome him home with lots of kisses!
Because of the 'touchy / feeliness' of the book, it would be most suitable for a small group of guided readers, who can all then interact with the soft animals in the book.
Fluffy Bunny by Piers Harper – As this bunny tries to find a more attentive family, I kept waiting for predators to come eat the snack that wandered far from home. But alas it was a cute picture book, not a realistic one. Lol! Enjoy the cute! Happy Reading!
I read this in one of those outside neighborhood library boxes in the middle of the street while freezing my butt off. Great sensory feelings. Cute bunnies. Unrealistic biology. Would pet and freeze again.
