Lennon Day is a problem

She was supposed to be a one-time diversion, a friend that temporarily soothed the desires raging under the surface. Now we can’t keep our hands to ourselves, playing a game that we’re both going to lose.

I thought I liked my life how it was. I wasn’t expecting for anything to change, for my priorities to ebb and flow like a wave. And now I’m worried

Bookphenomena (Micky)
It was a nice feeling to be back in Hermosa Beach for more of this cast of characters. They had the OC feeling, a young entitled crew that had some down to earth-ness about them.

This was a story of a purposeful love triangle (of sorts), where a couple had been in a long term relationship but an open one and were engaging in relationships with other partners; all parties were aware. BE YOUR ANYTHING focused on Lucas (the boyfriend) and Lennon (his girl on the side). It was definitely an unusual s

My opinions on this book were all over the place throughout the book.
Okay, so first off...I know the concept in this book is not considered cheating. But sometimes it just felt...icky.
I could understand why Lennon felt like a secret. It was a very unconventional situation.
Second off, it took way too long for Lucas to finally get his head out of his ass. I have a feeling we’ll get more of the story in the next book as to why he felt obligated to stay with Remmy. But I don’t like her. I hope my

Oh wow

What a heart shattering story. The hurt caused by actions that span years and months. Lucas and Lennon are so scared they keep screwing up. Remmy ugh I could strangle her. She seems so selfish. Can’t wait to what going on there. She did one thing right .... she let Lucas go so he could be with his one, Lennon. ❤️

We met Lucas and Lennon in book one of the Hermosa Beach series. They have the physical connection, and yet, Lucas is in a relationship. If you're thinking this is a cheating book, its not. There is so much depth in these characters, the connection of everyone in their group of friends. The relationships that we keep around, is it out of priority or owed because time invested? So, L & L, both agree to give into physical attraction of their relationship.

Lucas and Lennon have been friends since th

It kills me to say this because Jillian Liota is one of my favorite indie authors in the New Adult genre and I've absolutely adored every book I've read of hers to this point. But, Be Your Anything didn't do it for me. I don't know if it was the characters or the slow progression of the story line but it was an okay read for me. Like not love.

Lucas, who I adored despite his flaws from the first book in the series, just came off as an indecisive, "have your cake and eat it too" schmuck. Yes, his

I absolutely love Lucas and Lennon's story. Lucas is in a relationship but you can understand his internal struggle with an absent girlfriend. I found myself yelling at him because he knows what he has to do but doesn't fully see it. Lennon is one of his best friends and her struggle with confidence and love is so we'll written. A absolutely wonderful read! I love Jillian's writing. ...more

Just as in her previous books, Jillian once again delivers a book filled with a exciting plot that includes some great surprises. If you liked her previous books, you’ll love this one too. Way to go Jillian!

I received an ARC from the author and I am happy to give my honest opinion.

I'm not a huge fan of New Adult romances but I love everything Jillian Liota writes. I was eager to get this book as it's a continuation of the Hermosa Beach books and I wanted to see how the gang was doing.

We met Lucas and Lennon in the first book. Lucas is Hannah's brother and I wasn't a huge fan of him in the first book. He brought her to California to connect as siblings but then kind of abandoned her. The ending of t

After the awesomeness of “Promise Me Nothing,” my expectations were high. Yet, somehow, “Be Your Anything” managed to surpass them. Truthfully, my favorite character in book 1 was Lucas, so I was really excited for this one. And that first chapter was just... WOW. So hot! In fact, Lucas and Lennon were on fire throughout. There was just so much chemistry.

But nothing about their relationship is easy. There is so much love, but also heartbreak. Lucas is clueless and selfish at times, but he truly

This book is EVERYTHING you could ever want in a sequel! Jillian is always a queen of character development, but she really hit it out of the park with this one. Lucas and Lennon definitely both have issues but it makes them SO human and real. Jillian writes them in such a vulnerable and relatable way, I seriously could not put this book down.

I received an advance readers copy in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

This book was everything! I love this series so much. Lennon and Lucas were totally adorable and sexy. This author just gets better and better!

This was heartbreaking for me. I know what unrequited love feels like. But this book isn't that. It's a book about self-discovery and worth. Watching Lucas come to terms with his feelings and watching Lennon realize her worth was beautiful. ...more

What a great follow-up to Promise Me Nothing! This is Lucas and Lennon's story and it's a doozy. Lucas has an open relationship with his girlfriend Remmy, per her request. Lucas goes along with everything she asks I think because of their history, he loves her in a way, and some sort of loyalty. Lennon is head over heels for Lucas so she takes anything he allows her to have. Somewhere she lost sight of what she was worth. I really hated the way Lucas treated her. It's hard to explain, but he was ...more

I loved learning more about Lennon! She is a beautiful woman through and through. I enjoyed her feministic views. The conflict in the work environment is so reliable.

I have a hard time liking Lucas’s character. I’m not sure why. Maybe it’s the open relationship concept that I didn’t like. The ending was cute though! Definitely worth the read! FULL OF DRAMA!

LOL at the epilogue with Remmy and Ben! 😂 I can see where the next one is going. I’m hoping I can grow to like Remmy in the next book! She w

Crowned King And Queen

For eight years Lucas has been in a weird relationship with Remmy. While she went away to college she decided on an open relationship so she wouldn't be cheating. It wasn't something Lucas wanted so he didn't take advantage. That is until Lennon got home from Paris. Lennon and Lucas grew up nextdoor to eachother. Always there for one another. Always longing to be in a relationship with the other but it wasn't in the cards. This book is a pretty emotional read. I love this s

Not my cup of tea

The book was well written, however I did not enjoy it. This book kept dragging on and on. I will admit I skipped several pages. The main male plug, Lucas, he acted like an entitled prick, he treated Lennon like a whore and she allowed it. Then when he found out something about his so called girlfriend, then he realized how much he loved her and set out to prove this, however in my opinion there was nothing he could do; however options are like ..... everyone has one. I didn't a

Lucas is perfection and the most loyal human ever; he really had my attention in book one but in his own book he held that attention and kept it there. He tries to be a great big brother, son, friend, boyfriend, etc. but he puts so much on his own shoulders that he puts his own happiness on the back burner. I loved everything about him, and my heart hurt for him at times and then other times I wanted to smack him upside the head. Lennon was awesome, but she tried too hard to be the perfect perso ...more

Heat Factor: ehhhhh….

Character Chemistry: Warm/hot but with a bucket of cold water

Plot: Friends try out a casual hookup situation but can’t seem to stop!

Overall: This is a well-written book that I ultimately did not finish because I just couldn’t connect with the somewhat entitled and off-putting characters. DNF.
