WES

When I was a kid, my dad was the gardener for the richest man in town. His daughter, Lily Barnes, told me she could never like a guy like me. Then she kissed me and told me it would never happen again. When it happened again, she told me she could never love me because she was going to leave this place, and I would never leave my dad.

We were never quite friends, not ex

The plot for this story could have been easily set back in the 1800’s - daughter of a wealthy family falls for the gardener’s son. However, it is set in the here and now - and I could not put this book down!

From a young age Lily dreamed of being an actress, she wanted to make it in Hollywood, proving not just to herself but to her father that she could achieve what she set out to do. However, things did pan out as well as she had hoped and although she had some success as an actress, she has ret

Well, Kayley Loring has done it again! This was one incredible love story. Wes and Lily met each other as teenagers. He was “the help” at her rich parents’ home. They kind of always circled each other but never really came together. After her mom’s death, Lily leaves for 5 years to become an actress and when she returns, she starts working at her dad’s company. And who is her boss? Wes, of course. This is where the fun begins. Their past memories are mixed into the present, but the story flows p ...more

There was a bit of everything in Back for More, our first Kayley Loring book, and ‘son of a biscuit‘ didn’t she make it easy for us to enjoy by delivering some of our favourite elements. Let’s tick them off…..

*First time reading author

I am not big on second chance stories, but I thought I would give this one a chance since I had never read Kayley. I did give this book four stars, and that is a high rating for me on a second chance.

Back for More is a story of two people that should not be together due to their status in life until they find each other when they are older and should be wiser. However, family and obligations get in the way of what could be a great love.

Back for More is a good book, a

This was my first book by this author. And it was such a fun-to-read story that took in a lot of different tropes. From different social classes to enemies to lovers, to second chance and forbidden love to a beautiful happy ever after. Both main characters charmed me, stole my heart and made me believe in their devotion to each other. The feel goods were all wrapped up in a pretty bow. There's a touch of angst (family version) that both Lily and Wes have encountered. But there's a great secondar ...more

“Because you fucking left town without saying good-bye, and I hated you for it.”

Lily met the love of her life at the age of fourteen. But she soon learned to flee her emotions to protect herself. So, even fascinated by Wes, her attitudes and posture border insolence and petulance. But Wes is not affected by her. If Lily thinks she would hurt him because he was the gardener's son, she was wrong. He responds in the same tone, always with sharp answers and a certain air of disdain. And with each gr

Spicy, sexy and sizzling! Lily and Wes are perfect together. Their problems stem from Lily missing her deceased mother and trying to deal with a father who doesn't put any effort into loving the only relative he has left - his daughter. Wes is awesome. He too has abandonment issues with his mother, but he has so many people in his corner and that makes all the difference in the world! At first I thought it was a rich girl vs. poor guy kind of thing but it ended up being so much more!

I really enjoyed Wes & Lily's story. Good characters. This was a new author & such a fun book. I'm voluntarily leaving an honest review for a copy of the book via booksprout.

“To the First Love that we all deserve” is the dedication in this book...and I really think is says it all. This is only my 2nd book by Kayley Loring, but I have already become a huge fan. I absolutely loved this book, these two *sigh*...so good. Lily is 14 and Wes is 16 when they meet, his dad works for her dad, and their is instant chemistry for these two. Lily tries so hard to not get attached to Wes right from the beginning, but as we all know, chemistry always wins out. Lily leaves home whe ...more

Lily Barnes has had a thing for Wes since she set eyes on him, but he made her so nervous, that she came off a bit uppity while they were teenagers. Not to mention, Lily had issues with her dad ignoring her at home, so as soon as she could leave, she was out of there without looking back to try to make it as an actress. Turns out that Lily couldn't make it on her own, so she had to come home years later, and her father offers her a job at his company, so she takes it like he finally decides that ...more

The blurbed this story had me instantly intrigued about this story and the characters within the story. I absolutely loved this story and thought that this was such a fantastic storyline. The connection that the characters had was evident for: the first moment thy were together on the story. But the slow burn between their relationship and the back and forth between them really added to the story making me desperate t find out what will happen between the two characters.

Extra swoonworthy hero

So feisty and refreshing - I loved this book. It seems like every Kayley Loring book I read is even better than the last, and I have zero complaints about that. This book features a hero who has remained steadfast in his love for his heroine, using the time spent apart to prove himself worthy of her love. Wes and Lily met when they were teens - he’s the son of her father’s groundskeeper - and they both felt an immediate connection to each other (whether they wanted to or no

I loved that this story began with the good-bye letter as the prologue. And what a letter it was! It pulled me in right away. Also the epilogues were awesome.

This book is sneaky in what it contained and what it DIDN'T contain. It seemed like an average romance up until about 75% then it took some unexpected turns and became one of the few romance books that ever made me cry.

This book really kept me guessing because it didn't follow the usual romance format. The H and h's conflict took place befo

Wes and Lily met as children, her the CEO’s daughter and him the gardner’s son. Both without their mothers, completely different lives, never truly friends, yet there was something always pulling them together. Secret kisses, secret meetings, but nothing more. Lily ran away without saying goodbye. What happens when she returns 5 years later?

I’ve got so much love for Wes and Lily. I loved so much about this story that I don’t even know where to begin with this review. This story is a SLOW SLOW S

3.75 Stars. Cute read that has a little bit of angst. Lily and Wes have liked each other since they were teens and secretly would sneak off to kiss. But Lily comes from a wealthy family and Wes is the groundskeeper son. Two different people from different backgrounds.
Lily left home when she was eighteen to make it big in the acting world, but fast forward five years and she’s down on her luck. She returns home to work for the family business only to be stuck working with the love of her life We

This book is really, really good.

Lily has had to grow up a little too fast. So, she runs away from all the things she loves in order to find herself. However, she realises that running never solved any of her problems, and that in spite of what she tries to tell herself, the boy next door may be the best thing to ever happen to her.

Wes has always been fascinated by the infuriating, graceful, beautiful puzzle that is Lily Barnes. Though he's had his own personal issues, they've only made him stea

I absolutely loved this book. The story between Lily and Wes is such a slow burn it will drive you crazy. They always had this mutual attraction for each other but never acted on it. When Lily runs off to become an actress she leaves everything behind and does not look back. Several years later she returns with no money, no job and the determination to make something out of her life. When her father hires her on at his company she becomes the assistant to no other than Wes. Even all these years ...more

This is the first book I have read from Kayley. I absolutely loved it because it was a second chance at romance -love storyline which is one of my favorites. Lily leaves town to go be an actress. Many years later she comes back to try and work at her father's business so that in a year she can earn or get her trust fund. But things aren't that easy because she is going to be working for the one person she never expected to see again. The boy she fell in love with so long ago and left behind who ...more

I’m in love!

I live to read and I love variety. That being said, one of my least favorite types of stories is the “second chance” variety. So many authors get it wrong. They want us to believe in the magical power of an all consuming love that withstands the test of time while, having a male “hero” that moves on with his life without a care in the world. I’m sorry, but those two things don’t really exist in the same world. Finally I have read a story where our hero puts his money where his mouth

Enjoyed the book.

You really have to read this book to understand the relationship between Wes and Lily. Wes was so good to her and so patient with her. I loved the father and son relationship with Wes and his dad Toby. His dad was so supportive and easy to talk to. Lily really came home because she was tired of running I believe. Lily and her dad did not know how to talk to each other for a long time. Her friends Neleesha were so funny and their kids were too cute. Three stars given for not rea

This is the first book that I have read by Kayley Loring but it certainly will not be my last. I loved this absolutely delightful story of two soulmates finally being in the right place at the right time. All the characters are very well written. Wes is my new book boyfriend. He has always known what he wanted and has patiently waited for five years for Lily to come back to him. The banter between the two main characters is very humourous and at times, jus

There's nothing better than that first all consuming love, even better when it becomes your only love. This is a really well written romantic story with well devolved characters. Your routing for them both from the beginning, both arereally nice, good, funny people. Their chemistry is red hot and the love feels very true. I liked how low drama it felt while still keeping you hooked to the very end. Lily was very sassy and kept Wes on his toes. He's an absolute dream, the perfect guy. We'd all be ...more

Very sweet read the character's were fun. It was hard for me to wrap my head around why Lily actually left and in that whole aspect she came across as a spoiled brat but I can understand that it made sense for the story and sometimes people leave. That letter at the beginning 😩 I honestly thought he wouldn’t read it and when he did 😭

I was so nervous to read this as it got further into the story, these have loved each other for so many years and I was sat hoping and praying it didn’t turn into a cliche typical story, her been in love, being a virgin, him being heartbroken and sleeping around etc and I’m so happy it wasn’t!

This is the first time in reading this author with the characters when I read the snipit that called to me. Lily and Wes will do more than entertain you in this one. They will take you on a ride that will have you holding onto your seat at times with the egos and steam that sometimes boil over. The qualities they both have shape them into characters that can entertain you while something grows between them. Humor and passion will ride big with us on that wave. It is also a bit of a second chance ...more

This was such a sweet romance novel. I fell in love with this author after reading Come Back to Bed. Her dialogue is so witty and funny. I always think of highlighting, but I wanted to keep reading.

After a couple gets together and say the "I love you's", I usually get bored, but this kept me reading. The characters were so cute together.

The past-present flashbacks usually bother me, but the author did it very well. Just little snipbits and enlightened the story.

Well done!
