Beautiful, rich, compelling collection of stories, poems, memoirs and more. Some of them were particularly powerful for me. The whole collection left me pondering the various ways loss can impact us, and continue to affect lives long afterwards. The overall feelings of solidarity and humanity that come with such a diverse collection of people putting words to these experiences leads me to recommend this book to everybody!

Shelves: anthology
Side Note: have a story in this anthology.

A wonderful companion anthology, the kind you can dip in and out of. Some strong personal essays, touching memoir, inventive and powerful stories, and hard hitting poetry.

Had me in a state of pensive reflection over and again.

This is not a collection that you can read in one sitting. Heart-felt and heart-wrenching, you'll need breaks from the raw, emotional intensity. (Please note: I'm leaving my story out of this review.) Keep tissues handy as these 80+ writers draw you into their experiences of loss in various beautiful ways. Highly recommended.

A moving and timely anthology exploring the landscape of loss and grief. This collection of tales by talented writers shares a diverse range of personal journeys, articulating through essays, stories, poetry and memoir, the tangled emotions each writer has traversed, when experiencing a significant loss in their life. Highly recommended."
