Excellent overall. Goes over what night terrors are -- both the "shallow-rooted" kind experienced by young children and the debilitating adult version -- and explains how to deal with them and get rid of them. He does not fluff you off with a vague "just go to counseling and you'll be all right;" he tells you what you need to work on and how to make the night terrors go away. The author spends a little too long making his case that night terrors are often trauma-based and were never a genetic disorder -- c'mon, man, that was obvious all along! But I realize well the blinkered, it-doesn't-say-that-in-the-manual approach of too many professionals, so it was probably worth the effort. My only quibble is that the author is too quick to dismiss this or that person as a psychopath when he also says, without appearing to realize the contradiction, that these people are simply re-enacting their childhoods because that is all they know. Wait, here's another quibble: the author talks as if only people who suffer from night terrors suffer from the damaged boundaries and lousy relationship choices that most chronically-traumatized people do.
