This book is half cookbook and half travel guide. The photographs by Robin Victor Goetz are stunning and make the book worth buying even if you don't cook, don't travel, or don't like Kentucky. I have stayed at one of the B&Bs in the book, the Willis Graves, and loved it. The food was fantastic. I have not, however, tried making any of the recipes yet myself. The only negative is that the book needed to be proofed better. The text is not quite up to the photos or recipes.
