Lindsey met her New Zealand-born husband, who had been working in West Africa, when he was on his way home through Johannesburg. He did go home but in a matter of weeks he was back in South Africa, and six months later they were married. Three of their five children were born in South Africa. Then one in London and one in Australia, after they made the decision to emigrate from South Africa.
It wasn't until her youngest child started school that Lindsay sat down at the kitchen table determined to tackle her other ambition to stop dreaming about writing and do it! She hasn't stopped since. She's not happy unless she has a book under way, and she's discovered she can write through just about anything.
Lindsay and her husband have moved around a lot. They've trained racehorses,farmed, and lived on their boat for six months while they sailed it from the Gold Coast to the Torres Strait and back, an epic voyage! They currently live in Queensland, overlooking the water; they sold their farm, and they're looking around for another boat. She and her husband love to travel and have been back to Africa twice in the past few years. The highlight of one of their trips was a visit to the Serengeti, in Tanzania, where Lindsay did the one thing she swore she would never do: take a ride in a hot-air balloon. She was a nervous wreck as the balloon tottered upright, but will remember it as a unique experience to see the game spreading out on the Serengeti plain beneath her as the sun rose.

Despite this passion for wildlife and Africa, Lindsay considers Australia her home now and loves the country. She travelled to Sydney to witness the closing weekend of the Olympic Games in September 2000; it made her proud to be an adopted Aussie!

Is it Old Skool complete with Forced Seduction? Yes.
Is there a wide age gap? Yes.
Is there an OW? Yes.
Plenty of people can and will be offended by all those tropes while at the same time many readers will enjoy them for what they are. I personally found this a rather sweet story, especially with an endearing heroine who rescues battered animals and neglected children on a daily basis. The OW's involvement mostly occurred in the insecure heroine's imagination. The hero's "rudeness" stemmed from the terrible, heart-stopping frights heroine gave him by constantly putting herself, unwittingly, in dangerous situations.
The ending was satisfactory because the heroine asserted herself, the hero confesses to all his feelings, all misunderstandings are cleared up, and most importantly, I felt that they were now both on equal footing and continuing their marriage as partners rather than a dubious father figure to surrogate daughter relationship.
Is there a wide age gap? Yes.

Sweet May/December romance between a klutzy kind-hearted heroine and a real estate mogul hero who was a friend of her preacher father. There is a 19 year age gap and that is at the heart of the conflict between them.
The heroine thinks the hero only married her because he wants to take care of her for her father's sake, but it's obvious he is smitten. The heroine is head over heels in love with the H, but is afraid to show it.
They honeymoon in Africa, based on the daydreams the heroine had shared with the H. A few months later, the heroine has a miscarriage after saving a child from drowning. An old flame of the hero's is widowed and comes for dinner. The heroine misinterprets a conversation she overhears between the H and the OW, which prompts her to leave with a note saying "she's tired of being married." She becomes a nanny at an isolated Outback station, but finds herself in the news after she helps the mother deliver a baby with prompts from the flying doctor on the radio.
The hero is able to track her down. He sets her straight about the OW - they were discussing her husband dying so young - not regrets that he was married to the h. It's the heroine he loves. HEA.
If you're in the mood for a sweet, gentle story and don't mind a leaping-to-conclusions heroine, you'll like this one.

19 year age gap between impulsive innocent preacher's daughter Hannah (18) and land owning hotshot Alex. That's quite a big gap and she really is very young and they are the reasons behind the angst in this book. I do love LA and this just about kept on the right side of squick re the Hs need to be taker of her v card and daddy dom. But it definitely felt a bit on the knife edge of squick.

beautiful ! i always love a besotted hero when i see one! alex was so devoted, ardent in his attachment to hannah dat it broke my heart when she retreated from him and eventually left him. he did not deserve dat. yet, she was so childish and insecure so dat i understand her point of view. she was also so obviously not ready for marriage. dats why i minused 2 stars, because alex had snatched her from the cradle.

É uma história fofa, se vc realmente acredita em casamentos de pessoas com uma diferença de quase 20 anos . O H logo se apaixona pela h doce e sincera, porém muito jovem e sonhadora. Eu gosto de acreditar que eles viveram felizes para sempre. Fim. Obs: LA não deve ter escrito isso ou então, estava sob o uso de algo proibido.

Naksed says it perfectly. Good story because at the end h and her much older H husband are able to meet and go on as equals.

This was good, but I would have liked it better if the h was a few years older. A man well into his 30's shouldn't be marrying an 18-year-old girl, especially since their relationship had such a big brother/kid sister vibe, with him helping her out of every mess she unwittingly gets herself into, as well as lecturing her afterward.
However, when they get married and start making love, the sibling vibe disappears, good riddance!
There's some sad stuff here too, like when the h saves a boy's life but miscarries afterward, before she even told the H she was pregnant!
And there's a misunderstanding involving the H and the OW (who the H once thought was his true love) that made the h go the route of so many h's and run away, but since she wasn't yet 19 that can be excused a lot easier than when older h's do the same thing.
It took the H a few months to find her, which was a lot more realistic than those dumb stories where he's a millionaire and yet all his money/resources/connections can't come up with a clue for years. In the meantime, she had delivered a baby! The time away and the responsibilities of her job made her more mature and self-assured so that when she and the H get back together, it will be a much better marriage than before.
