[Matthew Mercer]

Good overview of the CPs since 1943. Particularly useful about the immediate post-war period and explaining the ruptures with the official Communist movement - over Yugoslavia, Sino-Soviet split, etc. Getting into the late 60s/early 70s there are more useful, in-depth things to read, but was still fine if cursory.
