Catwad, the snarky blue furball with a funny take on just about everything, is BACK in this third graphic novel in an all-new series from New York Times bestselling author Jim Benton! New York Times bestselling author Jim Benton's hilarious creation, Catwad, returns! Catwad and Blurmp are back and ready for more adventures in this newest volume in which they explore subjects like new friends, jealousy, allergies, and more! It's a laugh-out-loud romp not to be missed, even if Catwad claims it's not always about him.
Benton began his career in a custom design t-shirt shop where he started designing his own characters. At the same time, Jim did illustrations and artwork for magazines and newspapers. People magazine named him "the most visible cartoonist in America" .
Benton also created greeting cards and worked in the magazine and publishing industry. In 1998, his SpyDogs characters became an animated series, The Secret Files of the Spy Dogs, that aired on Fox Kids. Licensing his own creations brought them widespread attention on products, such as It's Happy Bunny, The Misters, Just Jimmy and more.
Benton currently lives in Michigan, where he operates out of his own studio.
This book isn't as funny as the first two, and since there weren't any jokes that made me laugh out loud, I'm only giving this two stars. There was almost nothing to offset the rude humor and meanness, but I will still continue with the rest of the series, because I enjoy some of the dark humor and the more clever verbal and situational gags.
More of a 3.5 stars. Not quite as funny as the other 2 Catwad books but I can't put my finger on why exactly. The 2nd book make me laugh out loud in multiple spots (I love the Salad one) but this one barely made me smile. Don't get me wrong, my 3rd grader was laughing as he read the book.
I didn’t read this my daughter did. Her kindle books are connected to my good reads account hahaha but she loves this book! (I shall be copying and pasting this same review on all her books that show up on here 😂)
A book of about 15 different short comics with Catwad and his friends. Humor great for kids. As I was reading this, my 10 year old son was near me saying "Oh, this is a funny one" or "I love this one!" Good recommendation for reluctant readers.
Absolutely wonderful. Lunch was awesome and my favorite but Spider I think came in second. Many good laughs. Thank you. Much needed at the end of a work week.
