Well... So not what I expected...🙊🙊🙄🙄😤😤😤very disappointed!
This being the first time reading this author, and the fact that the title and cover were dope, I knew I was expecting something but I didn't know what yet I knew this wasn't it. I couldn't quite get too much into the story on only some specifics part, such as: *when Montego and Dejon met, or when finally Courtney and Montego stopped being stubborn. It was a cute story though and Montego and Courtney and Adijah and Dom were so nice together; and let's not forget about A'san and Bishop. Montego was a true hood persona (same as Dom), a little bit of alpha, but charming and very well endowed. He was a business man and had his head on his shoulder. He was just an all around man and it took the likes of one woman to make him stop at being a womanizer, hence the kids... Courtney, well besides getting on my last nerve, she truly was not my favorite. She lacked so much nd yet what little she had, she needs to work on it. For an intelligent smart independent strong woman, well something was off or missing some screws. The story base was good, the outline was perfect but these characters, man they need help. Dom and Adijah, very very very good fit. It was refreshing and really nice to see not only the innocence of Adijah but the change in Dom by her where as Courtney and Montego was just a normal change from being single to being committed. As I said, everything had looked nice from the outside but it was disappointing to actually read this and see this was truly not your over the top story but rather the same boring, run of the mill story. Nothing new there....will be making an effort to read another one of this author, but not promising anything will change!!! Very disappointed.
I guess it's true that when the right one comes along she'll make a man change his ways. Dejon was a whole bitch! He pissed me off and I truly wanted Montego and Bishop to get rid of him for good. Courtney and Montego were both trying to act hard and got caught up in the process. Courtney learned from her past mistakes and Montego had to learn not every woman was after what he could offer when it came to materialistic things. Adijah's baby daddy had some nerve thinking just because he realized what he was missing that things were supposed to go back to how they once were. Dom was moving how he saw fit but him taking Montego's advice truly helped in. Courtney and Adijah came into Montego and Dom's life at the right time to show them what they were missing and in return it caused them to change their ways for the better.
This was a great read for sure . Crazy how Courtney endured so much heartache at the hands of a man she gave half of a decade to only to be taking for granted & then Montego swarmed in and made her turn all her inhibitions and doubt about being in love again and actually made her whole again... Adaijah & Dom are by far the cutest , crazy how you think that person will come along and have you doing things that you though were unheard of , I’m happy that she didn’t take the bait with Mario though as tempting as it sounds nobody wants to really be with someone who they once loved but ending hurting them! Dom was definitely the move a whole MOOD 💪🏾
This book was a fast-paced, drama-filled ride with two strong, relatable women trying to rewrite their stories. Courtney’s journey from chasing money to chasing peace was refreshing, and her dynamic with Montego kept things interesting—especially as they both tried to fight feelings neither of them planned for. Kadijah’s storyline brought its own kind of heat, showing the struggle of trying to do right while being drawn to all the wrong things. The mix of love, hustle, and hard choices made this a solid read with characters you can’t help but root for, even when they’re making questionable decisions.
I liked the guys. Dom and Montego didn't lead anybody on, they were up front with their unwillingness to be in a relationship. Once Courtney and Adijah entered the mix, the guys had some tough decisions to make. Courtney had to leave a toxic situation before she could realize who she truly was. Adijah had to make a tough decision for her and her daughter's future. The choice she ultimately made was tough but necessary. I wish this standalone was longer because the characters were interesting. The story moved along quickly but it didn't take away from the characters.
I loved the message in this book the title basically said it all. When a man finds the right woman they will make themselves better for you. I loved Montego and Courtney together he saw the real her and got to know her without the sex involved and that help him to form an opinion on her that he loved. I fell inlove with Dom and I was so glad he met Adijah because she change his way of thinking about love with the help of Montego and he saw the diamond that she is.
Such a good read! This was my first read by Natisha and she didn't disappoint. Montego was a mess and I'm glad he met his match with Courtney. Through everything I was happy they worked it out together because they were the cutest couple. I was also happy for Dom and Adijah. Montego and Dom just needed the right women to hold them down to bring out the best in them. I love the bosses Courtney and Adijah worked so hard to become while still having the men backs! Great read!!
I really enjoyed this book. We got to see the characters go through the ups and downs of relationships with their partners. I really liked Montego and Courtney they were so good together even though they were playing at first. Then Dom and Adijah were young but they knew what they wanted. They way Dom changed for Adijah was so sweet. Good read you should make more books like this even though all your books are good.
Not your average book BUT I loved it!!!! The chemistry between the couple's started as a sloe simmer and built to boiling hot.. I'm happy they're happy. I was expecting those baby Mama's to cut up but I'm glad they didn't. That Dejon though 😠. I know Mario was pissed but he was doing it for all the wrong reasons. He might have still loved Adijah but the bigger picture was, she was the only one who wasn't asking for anything. She took what she got.
Everything you touch is perfect! This was a hanger. You couldn't put it down because you wanted to know what's next. Will she get away? Is crazy gonna find her again. But once again you managed to bring a beautiful ending. Dejon was a straight nut! Montego...who says a man can't change his ways? Courtney happiness and success finally. Let's not forget Adijah shy and timid but once she met Dom all fear went with the wind. Great job!
Demon was just plain crazy he kept disrespecting Courtney but at the same time expected her to deal with his mess. Sometimes the grass is greener and that’s what happen with Montego Courtney stuck to the principles and didn’t allow him to walk over her. Now Dom his stubbornness almost most cost him to miss out on Adyah, his mother was something else. I definitely enjoyed reading about them...
I absolutely loved this book. It was really good just as I expected. This is most definitely a must read...I love Montego and Courtney and Adijah and Dom together. They were made for each other. The title was perfect for this story. Great job as usual Natisha...
Natisha books are so bomb. Her writing keeps getting better and better. Courtney and Montego swore of love and relationships. Then boom the intense chemistry between them couldn't be denied any longer. Do and Adijah grew into their relationship and more building to do. Overall 5 🌟
Enjoyed every bit of it I loved the fact that Courtney had enough and left Dejon. He was controlling, mean and abusive. Courtney met Montego and it was a go after that but they both was so stubborn I'm glad they finally got it right and she made him change his ways. Adijah was so innocent but then she met Dom and things changed.
Montego had finally met his match with Courtney, she didn't sweat him like the other women and gave him a challenge. Now they have a baby, business, and engaged. I was hoping that Dom would come to his senses about Adiyah and he finally did, I definitely didn't want her back with her ex.
This is a beautiful storyline about love, but still has a little of the street life grit in it. Character development helps you to relate and feel what these characters are feeling. Natisha details how savages really do have feelings, it just takes the right one to bring them out. I enjoyed and recommend this five star read. I always look forward to reading books from this author.
In true Natisha Raynor form, she came through with another amazing storyline. Courtney endured so much dealing with Dejon, but I’m glad that she gave Montego a real chance. It was also good to see Adijah not settle down with her baby’s dad and give Dom a real chance. It was good to see the growth in both relationships.
This was a good Standalone Natisha u never fail us on your writing Courtney showed a lot of women not to give up and that they can leave bad relationships Adijah was young but she stayed in the right track even changing Dom after all and boy I was shocked when Montego wanted to become one woman man and a family one great read
This was okay, I'd foll… This was okay, I'd follow these characters in another read. I didn't like how the author was bringing things into the story out the blue though. What was the deal with the girls coming up dead and the killer, who was he? Maybe I missed that part of the read and why it was important. I'd follow another one.
This was an amazing novel. I enjoyed each character. I love how this book was unexpected you never knew what was next. It kept my attention until the end. I didn't want it to stop. Read this book you want be disappointed.
This book was very good. It was very different than what I expected coming from this author. It was good and the pace flowed but it didn’t have those jaw dropping moments like I was expecting
Good job! This book was really enjoyable to read. It had a good storyline and it held my interest from the start. I’m glad that things worked out the way it should...especially with Adaija and Dom. I really liked them as a couple and was a little scared. Good job thou!
I loved being able to see the author create a story that lined up with another book of hers! She showed out on her abilities as an author and I’ll continue to be here for it!!
This book shows that he will only change when he ready or she is ready. I enjoyed the fact you can watch the growth of the main characters. Also along the way with growth you can lose some people that mean you no good. Check this book out!!
Enjoyed the journey of each couple going from the getting to know you stage to the relationship. I also love seeing people advance in their school and career goals realistically. Great read!
Courtney getting away from Dejon was the best thing in her life. Meeting Montego was next and making a New friend Adijah was next. Dom didn't know that Adijah was meant to be in his life for a reason. I'm glad he finally realized it.
Dejon should have gotten a bullet in the head instead of the shoulder. From the way he beat Courtney the first time. I'm glad she gave Montego a chance and created a good life for herself. I'm glad Dom gave in to Adijah I thought they made a good match for each other.
I loved this book!! I wasn’t expecting Montego or Dom to get their act together but they proved me wrong. Courtney’s ex Dejon, really deserved to die after all he put Courtney through. I like the glow up that Courtney and Adijah had. Good read and tons of drama!
I really enjoyed reading this book. The storyline was great and the characters were lovable. I enjoyed the love between the two couples. I will definitely check out other books by this author.
Live come when it’s least expected these couples was building a solid foundation even though they tried to fight it.Dejon is a weak dude that deserved to have a foot up his butt. Mario guess he thought she would twiddle her thumbs while he played the field oops nope
