"Take Me Apart"
Written by Sara Sligar
Reviewed by Diana Iozzia

"Take Me Apart" is an artistic and surprising thriller, which sets itself apart from others in the same genre. This exciting debut by Sara Sligar opens many new possibilities for the psychological thriller genre. Twisting upon the ever-present fear of distrust for those who care for you, Sligar's characters are tantalizing.

Superspeed readers like me can read 150 - 200+ pages/hour, so yes, I have read the book … and many more today. LOL

I received a temporary digital Advance Reader Copy of this book from #NetGalley, the publisher and the author in exchange for an honest review.

From the publisher, as I do not repeat the contents or story of books in reviews, I let them do it as they do it better than I do 😸.

I've been eagerly awaiting Sara Sligar's debut, because it includes all my favorite things: difficult women, brooding men, and of course, archival records. TAKE ME APART is my favorite kind of thriller: subtle and psychological rather t

It is an adult mystery that has an unreliable narrator, who isn't really sure what she is getting into when so goes to take care of a famed photographer's possessions. It is a mystery that unfolds slowly with a heavy tensi

Take Me Apart by Sara Sligar definitely threw me for a loop. For some reason I expected this novel to be one of those cliche thriller tropes that are chalk-full of twists and turns just to end up with an ending so out there there's no way anyone would be able to guess it.
This was not one of those novels.

In Callinas, California, a well-known artist named Miranda Brand suddenly died and the shock-waves were felt high and low. Years later, Miranda's son, Theo, hires an archivist (
