We love Mike Venezia. He writes and illustrates the best introductions to the great composers and artists to peak kids’ interests. The only disappointment with this specific book is that there is no test at the end, which my daughter looks forward to. Besides that, we plan to read many more of Mike Venezia’s books.

Yet another amazing book from Mike Venezia. I never get tired of these books! Each one is filled with interesting facts and funny cartoons, and this one was no exception. I knew very little about Brahms before reading this book so it was very interesting to learn about his life. Mike Venezia has done a great job yet again.

Sounds like Brahms life was a bit complicated. This book tries to break it down in the most interesting pieces for young music students. Lots of good references to his most famous pieces. Typical Venezia humor adds to the story.

Johannes' family was very poor. He had a friend called Remenyi. He learned a lot of folk music from his friend.
