Brett was swoony and gentlemanly, while Becca was an awesome girl who loved to read. Just my kind of characters! Also, there was a bakery and talk about desserts, and that alone would have ...more
Thank you so much to Edelweiss, Harper TEEN and Alex Light for my ARC in exchange for an honest review.
The Upside of Falling is an adorable book that plays with the fake relationship trope, which is easily one of my favorite tropes. So when I saw that there was a new book coming out with this front and ...more
I read it in one sitting and kept annoying my friends around me about how cute it ...more
The Upside of Falling had a little bit of everything- family, friendship and romance. I really liked that the story was told in dual POV. We got to see more than one side and how similar issues can have very different outcomes. The problems the story dealt with were not too heavy or dramatic and they had good ...more

Words aren’t like that. They build an entire world around you. It’s not something you look at, it’s something you’re inside.
This book was just...cute. I love a good fake-dating story. Becca was super adorable with her pro and con lists and her ridiculously large romance book collection. Both her and Brett were just waiting to finish their last year in high school before getting out of their ...more

I adore this book. Becca and Brett are (not so) perfect main characters and I love reading about their story.
The only reason I didn’t give it a full five stars is because of the progression of the story. I know that it’ll be different in the published edition, ...more

Becca is an enigma. She doesn't believe in love and gave up on it years ago when her dad left, giving up on both her and her mom. But she's got a high level addiction to swoon-worthy romance novels. But when her ex-BFF teases her for her lack of boyfriend, she impulsively invents one. And to her shock, Brett, the super popular football star inserts himself into the position of boyfriend on the spot. So they decide to ...more
