Love may not be pie, but when it comes to your lover, sharing isn't the easiest thing in the world.

When Joe Morrissey returns home, heartsick and traumatized by his latest mission, the last thing he expects is to find his partner and lover, Brian Finnegan, has fallen for someone else. Even though Joe knows Finn has never been a one-man man, he has difficulty accepting Drew

It's been a while but Ari McKay finally takes us back to the guys at Herc's Mercs with this exploration about how sometimes we don't always know what we need until the moment it falls in front of us.

For Finn being just two with Joe wasn't where he saw his life long term even though he was in love with him.

Unfortunately for Joe, Finn was it and while he was willing to put up with the love of his life have occasional one-off flings, he wasn't at all prepared for Finn to fall in love with someone e

The Herc’s Mercs crew has come a long way since the first book introducing Herc. I’ve followed every one of them but Ari McKay managed to happily surprise me with this one. It’s hard to create a threesome from an established couple but this was presented in a very real-feeling way. Joe and Finn have had an open relationship of 8 years. Joe is monogamous but easily accepts that Finn is not. When Drew turns out to be more than a one-night stand, Joe understandably reacts with jealousy and hurt. I ...more

Again, I run into a book that suffers, oddly enough, from too much talking about feelings. I felt like I was trapped in a therapist's office watching some kind of relationship PSA video about the benefits of clear communication. The relationships developed very, very quickly. I can't look at the cover without giggling inappropriately -that's probably a personal problem on my part. The protectiveness was cute and mostly the part I was interested in, hence the skimming. I skipped all the sex parts ...more

3.5 stars - I love me a good menage, so I was excited about this one. This turned about a little different than most in that Joe and Brian have been best friends with benefits for like eight years. While Joe has deeper feelings for Finn, he understands that they want different things. Joe is the picket fence and one man kind of guy, while Finn isn’t looking to be in a monogamous relationship. Joe has been ok dealing with Finn’s random hookups knowing that’s all they are and Finn always comes bac

A good story for these guys. A complicated freindship becomes more with Drew entering things. Love is there for all but can two become three. Finn's is a player, once Joe is away, a new member of the team sets eyes on Finn. Danger for Finn and things gets dangerous looking for the bad guys once and for all. I felt for Joe in this and Drew too, progressing their relationship to be happy. Joe's is the hero in this after seeing so bad things it's takin it's toll.  The ending of this is gorgeous.

Joe is in love with Finn, who’s falling for Drew, but Finn is also in love with Joe. Finn’s deepest fantasy would be for the three of them to all want each other. They just have to work through the mistrust and hurt.

I’ve enjoyed the Herc’s Mercs series from the beginning and this one was a nice addition. The author is good at character development in a concise way. Everything you needed to know about these guys was there. Action, a bit of relationship angst, sexy times, and love.

I loved Joe, he was so steadfast taking whatever part of Finn he could without tying him down. I liked Finn too but he almost lost me with the way he sprung Drew on Joe. There's never a good time to tell your lover you've fallen in love with someone new but after Joe's last mission that almost broke him. I think Drew was the bridge they needed to finally commit to each other and I really enjoyed seeing them all come to that realization. All in all a very enjoyable read.
