Preschool children get an early introduction to a second language when their parents show them books in the charming Bilingual First Books series. These titles are bilingual in English and Spanish, and give toddlers a head start in learning a foreign language at the same time they are learning their own. Charming two-page spreads show color pictures of familiar objects all relating to the book's general theme. The word on the left for parents to read aloud is in English, and the word on the right is its Spanish equivalent. The last page of each book aids parents with a list of all words introduced in the book plus easy pronunciation rules. (Ages 2 and older)

Great series for those who are looking for very basic information.

This is just a very basic counting book with bears. I like the pronunciation guide for the Spanish so my baby’s grandmother could read it to him.
