Jane Burton was one of Britain's most talented and creative natural history photographers. She lived in Surrey with her collie Tess and albino hedgehog, Fred.
Review: I love how it breaks down the history of the horse and that their are so many different names of horses. I truly thouhgt they were all the same like there is a horse call heay horse which is these are only in eastern Europe. Like the pictures you can really tell the differnce in the horses. The heavy horse in particular has a since of being fury around the feet looks like a poodle. I just love seeing so many horses in this book and the book goes in detail about the backgrounds.
Content: I would grasp the content animals but specfic animal would be horses. I would use this book as a guide in my classroom. We narrow it down to mabye three specfic horses from the book and learn more about them. A field trip would be in order like a little local ranch that is know for kids rideing horse so they actually got to see a real one. Also take the book with me just in case they saw some horse in the ranch that was in the book.
A great book just full of wonderful pictures of all kinds of horses engaged in all kinds of activities, from pulling a cariage to performing in a rodeo.
