Izzy is ecstatic when her daughter Alys is born, a much longed for baby. Whilst pregnant she met a new friend Grace, who was also attending the antenatal classes. When Alys is one week old, Izzy’s live in partner Charlie takes her out alone for the first time to give Izzy a few minutes rest. After a couple of hours Izzy is worried as they should only have been 30 minutes or so. The police are called in but find no trace of either baby or father. Five years later and Izzy hasn’t given up the sear ...more

I loved The Stepsister, so was looking forward to reading this and jumped at the chance of reading an ARC. And what a belter it is! The Welsh setting is great - lots of brooding menace. Izzy Grant's daughter, Alys, was abducted five years before but she refuses to give up hope.
When a new detective arrives on the scene, the brash Gabriella Darin, she thinks something doesn't add up and starts digging into the old case herself. Lots of twists and turns along the way to a very satisfying ending.

I loved this book, it kept me enthralled throughout and did not want to put it down. I loved the characters and the plot, never guessing the ending. More of this please Jen Obrien

Hi and thanks for stopping by.

I'm a wife and mum first, writer second. I took up writing about ten years ago when I had something to say, and I haven't stopped since.
I write what I love to read, which is romance and thrillers. My children’s books will hopefully be of some use, particularly Boy Brainy which is perma free and written to raise self-esteem.
