3.5 - "If you want me... I'm all in." Stars!
We return to Blue Hollow Falls and Lavender Blue Farm & Tearoom for more adventures with the Fearsome Foursome. Chey McCafferty has been a solid presence in the previous books set around the ladies and their growing business, but she’s been the hardest nut to crack in relation to getting to know anything more about her. Under a Firefly Moon gives us that story, and her a second chance at first love.
"We come from the kind of life that most people could never understand…"
Wyatt Reed, know the Chey of old, working the rodeo circuit together with her and her brother when they were younger, they know and saw the best and worst of each other, both have suffered hardships, losses and have come out the other side the better for it, whereas Wyatt’s thirst for adventure has kept him looking forwards, Chey’s involvement with Lavender Blue and her horses has done the same for her, reconnecting after so many years, brings up a lot of the past that both of them had thought they had moved on from.
"You know the me that no one else does."
I found the first half of this instalment in the series a little slow going, there seemed to be little movement in the plot and a whole bunch of internal monologue, that said Vivi provided some light relief as things progressed, and I loved seeing her get a little romance as well. Wyatt and Chey as a couple were a great match, and the story in general was enjoyable with plenty of inclusion of the rest of the BHF crew.

Not my favourite book in the series, but still one worth reading as the characters in general and the second half of the story more than made up for the slower start of this one for me.

Cheyenne was a barrel racer but left that life behind to make some much needed changes in her life. She became part owner in a horse rehab and rescue farm called Lavender Blue. She loves her new life and has settled in quite nicely only regretting one thing, leaving a certain cowboy behind. She felt like she was to young to make any important decision at that time in her life. He disappeared right after revealing his feelings for her, she turned away from him thinking that was the right decision for her. She gets quite a surprise when she finds his favorite horse on the auction block. She wins the horse and is shocked when Wyatt is there. The young boy she remembered is gone and a man she doesn't recognize is in his place. She soon learns that Wyatt isn't going anywhere and she isn't sure she how she feels about the situation. Neither can forget the past and the passion they shared between them. Follow along as these two dance around their true feelings for each other. Is it the right time to let love in or will they let it pass them by again.

Good story of second chance love, friendship, and family. Chey and Wyatt have a history. They were rodeo kids at the same time, best friends, along with Chey's brother, Cody, and later, Tory. As they grew older, Wyatt's feelings for Chey changed, but when he expressed those feelings, she shut him down. Wyatt left the rodeo soon after before Chey realized the truth of her own feelings, and they haven't seen each other since.
Years later, grieving the death of her bull-rider brother, Chey became friends with three other grieving women. Putting their pasts behind them, the "fearsome foursome" now runs a lavender farm. Chey also rescues and rehabs horses, and when her friend Tory calls with an urgent rescue, Chey can't resist. She also talks Tory into coming to work at Lavender Blue farm when she finishes her current job. Chey does not expect to see Wyatt arrive with Tory.
I thoroughly enjoyed that first meeting. Tory remained friends with both Wyatt and Chey and is sick of being stuck in the middle. The story of what brought them back together was heartbreaking and explained so much about what drove Wyatt. Things were a bit awkward between them at first, with both of them needing to forgive each other for the past. Though each of them has changed from the kids they knew, the core of their friendship is still there and is quickly augmented by the sparks of attraction. I loved watching them get to know each other as adults and appreciate the changes that time has caused. As they realized the depth of their growing feelings, Wyatt and Chey also knew that their current lives were not exactly compatible. Was there a chance for them that didn't involve one or the other sacrificing everything? I loved that they kept the lines of communication open and were willing to take the time to see what happens. Chey gets some good advice from Vivi, and an unexpected offer helps Wyatt make some decisions.
There is a secondary romance between Vivi and an old flame. She is quite a force of nature, and I enjoyed both her antics and her warmth, intelligence, and love. Her scene with the rowboat was fantastic and gave me a good idea of what to expect from her later in the book. I loved how her romance progressed. Grant was awesome and obviously head-over-heels for her. I also liked the parallels between her situation and Chey's.
There is also some excitement when Vivi discovers the town council plans to sell Firefly Lake to a resort developer. While these plans are portrayed as helping the town, in reality, they are more likely to destroy it. I loved how the Lavender Blue people and their friends pulled together, with a couple of surprise additions, to come up with a viable alternative. Things got a little tense at the end as corruption and threats raised their ugly heads. The resolution of that scene had me glued to the pages until it was resolved. I did have to grin at Chey's strength of will combined with a bit of deviousness, resulting in a very satisfying conclusion.
This was my first trip to Blue Hollow Falls, but it won't be my last. I will go back and read the stories I have missed to learn more about the others. I'm also looking forward to future stories. Hopefully, there will be one for Bailey when she grows up, as she made quite an impression on me.

Marvelous second chance romance that sees Cheyenne McCafferty and Wyatt Reed come together over a decade after they parted in their teens. They had perhaps been too young to find their HEA back then but by the time they meet in this book they are definitely ready to be together forever – in some ways it is like “coming home” for both of them. It wasn’t all smooth sailing but there definitely was not drama or push-pull and I enjoyed that aspect of this story.
What I liked:
* Wyatt: my oh my...a great book boyfriend and someone I would like to call my friend. He was a man with a purpose and found himself in those years after he left the rodeo behind.
* Cheyenne: a good friend who has found her purpose and a safe haven to call home. She has no blood family left but has created a family of her own
* The Fearsome Foursome: Loved reading the previous books and loved hearing about Vivi and Cheyenne’s romances in this one. The four women central to the lavender farm are wonderful!
* Buttercup & Tory ;)
* The small town characters that have been in the series and added their presence to this book, too.
* The way everyone worked together to find the solution for the town...and thwart the bad guys
* What Wyatt and Cheyenne for a living
* Being able to return to Blue Hollow Falls
* Wondering if Tory will get a story of her own AND wondering if perhaps some of the people working on Wyatt’s live-stream will get stories of their own.
What I did not like:
* The corrupt councilmen
* Having to say goodbye to the group till the next book comes out

Under a Firefly Moon is Book 4 in the Blue Hollow Falls Series.
I LOVE THIS SERIES ! Second Chance Trope is my favorite!
In this book, we get to read about Cheyenne (Chey) and Wyatt's story who are seeing each other for the first time since they were only teenagers.
The characters are so well written and I love how strong, independent and confident the female characters are. They are not waiting around for the male characters to save them.
Blue Hollow Falls is a small town that I am in love with and is written in only the way that this author can, fantastic, descriptive writing in which the reader feels like they are actually there.
This romance is beautiful and heartwarming and I enjoyed every minute.

I just adore the Blue Hollow Falls series and was super excited to read Cheyenne McCafferty’s story. Although it is a standalone, it is part of the Blue Hollow Falls series even as the publisher lists it as book one of a new series. Sorta confusing administrative pieces but the story and the book are perfect. I have read and loved all the previous books and waited impatiently for this story.
No spoilers so I will say what I loved about this book. When we were introduced to Cheyenne and Lavender Farm, we as readers didn’t know anything about her or her background. Since this is her story, we meet a very old friend of hers, Tory, and Wyatt Reed – not just another old, dear friend but Cheyenne’s everything.
Chey and Wyatt are the most vulnerable and wonderful characters. They aren’t just a little broken, they are held together with old chewing gum. These two really need each other. I so enjoyed their reconnection, for lack of a better term, because they both needed to work through trauma and all kinds of feelings from their respective pasts. My heart broke for these two but I loved how their relationship played out. Working together, they were able to help each other and their HEA is the best.
There is more to this story, it ties into Chey and Wyatt, but I don’t want to say too much as the author does such a great job of weaving a bit of intrigue and fun and bumps and bruises that you will have to read and enjoy for yourself. Great book, wonderful series, and I wanna move there!

I do love this series. And, who doesn't love a second-chance story? Two different couples get their second chances in this one.
I hope this isn't the last book in this emotional, heart warming series. It is wonderful.

Modern romance set in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The main characters are two people who were best friends until age 16 when the boy told the girl he loved her and she couldn't accept that. It is now years later and both have grown and want the friendship back.The story shows how nature can be saved but still move forward. The book was a quick easy read.

We finally get former barrel racer Cheyenne McCafferty's story and best of all it's a second chance story! These stories set in Kentucky's Blue Ridge Mountains are just so rich in small town connections and beautiful settings. This story highlights being environmentally enriching without destroying the charm of the area and making the world a better place. I loved how the town got together to fight the deep pocket developers.
Cheyenne's life on the rodeo circuit destructed with the violent death of her brother bull riding and the loss of her two best friends, fellow barrel racer Victoria- Tory Fuller, and Wyatt Reed. They both left the circuit about the same time and she spiralled in her grief. When she met the now Fearsome Four life changed for the better. She found a home with these women. This story starts out with her old friend Tory contacting her that Wyatt's favorite horse Buttercup is in bad shape and on the auction block. Cheyenne comes to bring Buttercup home to her horse rehab at the Lavender Blue Farm. When Tory arrives after her place is sold she comes with Wyatt forcing the two of them to reconcile after so many years. One of the most delicious part of this story is watching Vivienne Baudin in all her Broadway glory deal with rich Paul Hammond, Mr. Deep Pockets. Then there's the revelation of what Wyatt Reed has been up to since he left the circuit and his violent, drunk father. We get to see these two people grow to understand each other once again as adults and see they are both good people trying to help others. I love getting to visit old friends we have come to know in this series.

Cheyenne McCafferty is happy with her life in Blue Hollow Falls and loves it but can’t forget about the young man who broke her heart when she was younger. Wyatt Reed loves his job but has kept his distance from the US because of bad memories and the woman who turned down the love he had for her all those years ago. Their mutual past has kept them thinking of each other and hurt. When a mutual friend decides to play matchmaker for the two will they fall in love with the adult version of each other Under a Firefly Moon.
Cheyenne McCafferty and her 3 best friends started a lavender farm in Blue Hollow Falls, Virginia. She’s happy with her life and has started the horse rescue she’s always wanted to do. Her friend from the rodeo circuit has found her old best friend’s horse about to go to slaughter and calls Chey when she can’t keep the horse. Chey makes a deal with her friend Tory about her coming to the farm when her position is done at her current position. Tory shows up unexpectedly with Chey’s old best friend in tow. Wyatt is only planning to stay a few days and came for his rodeo horse. His visit gives him and Chey a chance to put the past between them to rest. Chey realizes that Wyatt isn’t the same person that left her unexpectedly all those years ago. She’s attracted to the new version of Wyatt. Wyatt’s old feelings for Chey are still as strong as before. Chey realizes what Wyatt has been doing since they were together all those years ago and finds out about Reed Planet videos. They are pushed together by Tory and the rest of the women. Wyatt really likes the people he’s met and the area. They must take a trip to Firefly Lake to rescue Vivi from her date on the lake. Chey needs time to think about all the information that Wyatt has told and how she feels about it. He comes to find her at the lake, and they end up going back to the farm for supper and end up going back to Chey’s cottage on the farm and making love. They know that it is just a temporary situation even if they want it to be more. Wyatt asks Chey about staying through the summer. They find out from Vivi that there is a threat to the life they all lead on the lavender farm. A meeting brings the citizens together to fight the imminent threat to the area and lake. Vivi makes a call to an old friend to help them with the threat and Chey is worried about her meeting this person. Wyatt and Chey follow Vivi to her meeting and meet her former love and a legendary celebrity. Wyatt’s career is just what the area needs to help to fight the threat. He asks Chey about staying through the summer, which she agrees to. A huge information meeting brings out the entire community and a celebration is part of the whole thing with Wyatt’s company Reed Planet live streaming the entire thing. He brings in his whole crew to help them out with the production and getting the video needed for the areas. Chey likes his crew and is really impressed by all of them and how the whole Reed Planet works. A talk with Vivi about their similar situations has Chey thinking about her happiness and knowing when the time is right to make a decision. Wyatt makes a declaration to Chey and she doesn’t say anything back to him. She feels the same but wants to make it special for him, Vivi gets back involved with the love of her life. He’s been spending time at the farm to help with the situation threatening the community. Chey is late because of a problem at the farm for the community event at the Firefly Lake to decide it’s future. A confrontation with the instigator of the threat to the community gets Chey mad and scared by what he threatens. She fights back and finally makes it look like she’s going along with him. She tries to record their conversation on her phone with no luck, but on the way to the event Chey comes up with an idea to get him to reveal himself. Everyone is shocked by what Chey reveals and what happens next. Their proposal gets the go ahead. Chey comes up with a plan to tell Wyatt how she really feels about him and their relationship. Wyatt has news about his future and an idea to do before leaving on his next assignment in the fall. A meeting between the four women has them discussing the future and how they can all work a schedule so that each can have time for the farm duties, their individual interests and being able to spend as much time as possible with the men that are now in each of their lives. Chey’s life on the farm is easier with the help of her friend Tory and Vivi goes off to spend time with her man and Wyatt reconnects with his horse. Rumor is that Vivi’s guy is going to be building an office in the Blue Hollow Falls area.
Welcome back to Blue Hollow Falls and and the spin off series of Firefly Lake. The last of the four women who decided to come to the area and run a lavender farm and business gets their chance at true love when former relationships come back into their lives. Donna Kauffman’s latest book in the Blue Hollow Falls/Firefly Lake Series Under a Firefly Moon is filled with love, passion and a little humor as loves from the past come back into the lives of two women who are happy and not looking for a relationship. These women find out it maybe decades since you’ve seen the love of your life and lives have changed but love has always been there even if you didn’t think it was. Cheyenne McCafferty and her 3 best friends started a lavender farm in Blue Hollow Falls, Virginia. She’s happy with her life and has started the horse rescue she’s always wanted to do. Her friend from the rodeo circuit has found her old best friend’s horse about to go to slaughter and calls Chey when she can’t keep the horse. Chey makes a deal with her friend Tory about her coming to the farm when her position is done at her current position. Tory shows up unexpectedly with Chey’s old best friend in tow. Wyatt is only planning to stay a few days and came for his rodeo horse. His visit gives him and Chey a chance to put the past between them to rest. Chey realizes that Wyatt isn’t the same person that left her unexpectedly all those years ago. She’s attracted to the new version of Wyatt. Wyatt’s old feelings for Chey are still as strong as before. Chey realizes what Wyatt has been doing since they were together all those years ago and finds out about Reed Planet videos. They are pushed together by Tory and the rest of the women. Wyatt really likes the people he’s met and the area. They must take a trip to Firefly Lake to rescue Vivi from her date on the lake. Chey needs time to think about all the information that Wyatt has told and how she feels about it. He comes to find her at the lake, and they end up going back to the farm for supper and end up going back to Chey’s cottage on the farm and making love. They know that it is just a temporary situation even if they want it to be more. Wyatt asks Chey about staying through the summer. They find out from Vivi that there is a threat to the life they all lead on the lavender farm. A meeting brings the citizens together to fight the imminent threat to the area and lake. Vivi makes a call to an old friend to help them with the threat and Chey is worried about her meeting this person. Wyatt and Chey follow Vivi to her meeting and meet her former love and a legendary celebrity. Wyatt’s career is just what the area needs to help to fight the threat. He asks Chey about staying through the summer, which she agrees to. A huge information meeting brings out the entire community and a celebration is part of the whole thing with Wyatt’s company Reed Planet live streaming the entire thing. He brings in his whole crew to help them out with the production and getting the video needed for the areas. Chey likes his crew and is really impressed by all of them and how the whole Reed Planet works. A talk with Vivi about their similar situations has Chey thinking about her happiness and knowing when the time is right to make a decision. Wyatt makes a declaration to Chey and she doesn’t say anything back to him. She feels the same but wants to make it special for him, Vivi gets back involved with the love of her life. He’s been spending time at the farm to help with the situation threatening the community. Chey is late because of a problem at the farm for the community event at the Firefly Lake to decide it’s future. A confrontation with the instigator of the threat to the community gets Chey mad and scared by what he threatens. She fights back and finally makes it look like she’s going along with him. She tries to record their conversation on her phone with no luck, but on the way to the event Chey comes up with an idea to get him to reveal himself. Everyone is shocked by what Chey reveals and what happens next. Their proposal gets the go ahead. Chey comes up with a plan to tell Wyatt how she really feels about him and their relationship. Wyatt has news about his future and an idea to do before leaving on his next assignment in the fall. A meeting between the four women has them discussing the future and how they can all work a schedule so that each can have time for the farm duties, their individual interests and being able to spend as much time as possible with the men that are now in each of their lives. Chey’s life on the farm is easier with the help of her friend Tory and Vivi goes off to spend time with her man and Wyatt reconnects with his horse. Rumor is that Vivi’s guy is going to be building an office in the Blue Hollow Falls area.

This is Cheyenne and Wyatt’s story. Kauffman tells how they work through their old relationship and pursue into the next. Once again Vivi, Avery, and Hannah play a part in the script. I have read the Lavender Farm series and have enjoyed them. They are pleasant to read and entertaining. I admit I did have trouble with the first part of this novel. I felt there was too much repetition in the telling of the tale. The reader doesn’t need to be reminded of the past of each character over and over again. I do recommend it to those who have read the Lavender books. To those who have not read Donna Kauffman I am sure you would enjoy them.

Under A Firefly Moon begins the Firefly Lake series which is part of the Blue Hollow Falls universe. If you haven’t discovered Blue Hollow Falls and all of it’s quirky, endearing residents then Chey and Wyatt’s story will most likely have you wanting to sit a spell and visit with their friends once you finish this story. It’s a lovely, addictive world that, if you love this one then you’ll enjoy knowing what went on before.
When they were younger Chey and Wyatt were friends, companions on the circuit and more to each other. Unfortunately, youth isn’t always the wisest age for recognizing what is right in front of you and this couple parted ways when Chey couldn’t offer more. Now they have a chance to see if second chances really do come around again for a reason because those feelings haven’t gone away, and with age, wisdom, and experience they know that what they have now is worth fighting for – if they are willing to take the risk with their hearts once again.
There were so many things about Under A Firefly Moon that drew me into Wyatt and Chey’s romance. The opening of their story did move a bit slower, with repetition of facts I already knew – but if I were a reader coming into this world at this point, I’d want to know that. So I understood it even if I did feel it slowed things down a bit. Aside from that I was drawn in and held tight in this story full of laughter, tears, confusion, understanding and some bad guys you’ll have no choice but to loathe. I loved the horses, their personalities, how they healed and how they interacted with Chey, Wyatt, and others. If there were important secondary characters in this one then some magnificent creatures were certainly involved. And running into old friends was an additional treat that readers of (now) both series will always enjoy. I had fun back in this world and that’s the entire point.
If you love a second chance romance, reconnect with old book friends or making brand new ones then you’d enjoy Under A Firefly Moon.

Great story that introduced some new characters, a corrupt town council, a movie star, an old friend, and two people finding their happily ever afters.
Chey and Wyatt were best of friends growing up on the rodeo circuit. But after a declaration of love and it not being reciprocated, they went their separate ways. Chey realized too late that she was in love with Wyatt, but maybe it just wasn't their time yet.
Chey ends up rescuing Wyatt's old rodeo horse. He was badly neglected and needed much love and attention to live out the rest of his life. Chey and Wyatt's mutual friend kinda surprises them both when she brings Wyatt to Chey's farm.
Chey and Wyatt have an awkward exchange after so many years apart and both going in different directions with their lives. One still with horses while the other is off all around the world trying to help out some towns and villages with various problems.
Firefly Lake has gone into disarray and the town wants to do something to help it get back on its feet and bring people back into town and not just the locals. The council thinks it should be a major developer, while Wyatt with his connections with what he does for a living, soon is there to suggest a different idea. However, it is Vivi who comes to the rescue with the perfect solution, but at what cost to her emotional health?
Chey and Wyatt heat up fast and can't keep their hands off of each other. Wyatt does not know if he can make Blue Hallow Falls his new permanent home, but he wants it to be because of Chey. Can Chey open herself up enough to accept everything that comes with Wyatt?
Loved, loved this story. Great characters, great loves, and great plot all wrapped into one. Donna sure knows how to draw in her readers and get you hooked with the first paragraph.

This is the fourth book in the Blue Hollow Falls series, but it can be read as a standalone. Each book in this series is a romance involving a different character, set in the Blue Hollow Falls area. I do enjoy the overlap of characters as they do pop up in the various stories and there is some character development along the way, but there is still enough development within each book. In this story we are visiting Lavender Blue farm, home and business of a group of four diverse women. Cheyenne McCafferty (Chey) is working in the business but also has a barn where she rescues horses, trains them and give riding lessons to children. When her friend from the rodeo circuit, Tory, calls her about a horse they both know, she hops in her truck and heads west to rescue him. She invites Tory to come and stay at the ranch and work with her. Tory arrives with another friend from their youth, Wyatt. As Chey and Wyatt had a relationship in the past, you know things are going to heat up.
This story has a lot happening, which added to my enjoyment. All the ladies and their friends make an appearance so it is like meeting up with old friends. Chey has a lot of baggage and she has been relatively quiet about sharing her past with her friends, so learning more about that was eye opening. As the town begins to realize there is a problem brewing, Vivi also steps up and we also learn more about her past. I enjoyed watching Chey and Wyatt get over their initial awkwardness about seeing each other for the first time in many years and quickly rekindle the relationship they had begun when they were younger. There are several hurdles and roadblocks that need to be removed for all things to work out and I enjoyed how they did that. There was more than one romance in this book, and I enjoyed how Donna Kauffman pulled everything together to a satisfying conclusion.

I just love this series, there is such a warm feeling in the Blue Hollow Falls community, and the lavender farm in this book, which sounds like an idyllic place to live.
The lavender farm part of this series is about four women, who met at a grief meeting and each had their own sad story, who became great friends and in the end business partners who invest in the lavender farm together, but all have their own living space on the property.
This book is mainly Cheyenne's story who runs the stables and rescues horses. Chey was a former barrel racer, but after certain events ends up leaving that life and eventually starting over at the lavender farm. She is quite content with her own company and her rescues, but is forced out of that when her old friend Tory gets in touch about a horse that needs rescuing that she knew from her past life. Tory ends up moving to the lavender farm, and brings along a surprise guest in the form of Wyatt, another friend from their past lives, who Chey was very close to during her barrel racing life.
There is unfinished business between Chey and Wyatt, and the story is about how they work through things, with Wyatt helping the Blue Hollow Falls community with business issues about a potential development around their lake. Also surrounding the development story is a really lovely story about Vivi, the eldest of the four owners, who contacts an old love during the course of trying to stop the lake development. So romantic - I really loved this side story!
Every time I read the current Blue Hollow Falls book I change my mind about which is my favourite, and this is now definitely my favourite! Such a really lovely series that I would highly recommend. Long may it continue.

I LOVED Chey and Wyatt’s story in Under a Firefly Moon by Donna Kauffman, book 1 in her Firefly Lake series, taking place in Blue Hollow Falls, and I really struggled to put it down; visualizing the beauty of this place through its descriptive words. Chey McCafferty is the fourth of the fearsome foursome owning the Lavender Blue farm, rescuing and rehabbing horses. She loves her new life but has only one major regret; letting go of Wyatt Reed back when they were teens on the rodeo circuit. When Reed’s beloved horse turns up, in bad shape, Chey knows she must save the horse, but she gets more than she bargained for. Although believing she was ready to face Wyatt once again, Chey becomes unsure. Wyatt is no longer the quiet, gentle boy she knew. The longer Wyatt stays the more these two realize that the feelings they had as teens has only grown, now that they are adults. Working together to save town land from ruthless town councilmen, they realize that this is the perfect time to make the dreams they shared under a firefly moon come true.
Ms. Kauffman, a talented story teller, wrote a joyful, funny, tender sweet, emotional and heartwarming tale that is not to be missed. That is the question that runs throughout this book, as Cheyenne and Wyatt connect for the first time since their teenage years. This is a story about finding happiness, and learning that love is not always an all-or-nothing prospect, and that making a successful future together often involves changes, and compromise. I really connected with the story, the characters, the town - this was a fantastic read!
What I liked about this book series is that all of the female characters are strong, and aren't waiting for a man to save them - Cheyenne is no exception. She is strong, confident, and knows what she wants, and is working to build a future for herself on the Lavender Farm in Blue Hollow Falls, and in addition, she is rescuing horses that need her help. In Donna Kauffman's Lavender Blue story we met former barrel racer Cheyenne McCafferty and one of the owners of the Lavender Blue farm. Chey doesn't have many regrets in her life but letting Wyatt Reed go was her biggest.
When Chey reconnects with Tory Fuller, another former barrel racer the last thing she ever expected was to see Wyatt standing at her farm. It seems that Tory was tired of Chey and Wyatt not talking and decided to do something about it.
As Chey and Wyatt spend more time together, they start to realize that they really missed being with the other and old feelings start to surface again. The only problem these two have in order to find their happy ending is their very different lifestyles. Chey enjoys rescuing horses and rehabbing them at the her stables, while Wyatt runs Planet Reed which takes him on adventures all over the world. It will take a whole lot of help from others for these two to find a solution that will make everyone happy.
I just adored this story and love the second chance trope. It was fun learning about Chey's backstory and it made you realize the reasons for how she behaved. I really loved how Chey and Wyatt were able to just pick right back up where they left off even though so many years had passed. I also really enjoyed the side story of Vivi's past....especially when Chey and Wyatt were following her! ;) Overall I love the new additions to Firefly Lake and can't wait for the next book!

Their other friend Tory discovers Buttercup at an auction and saves him from certain death, then calls Chey to come get him. Tory's job as a stable manager is ending so Chey invites her to Blue Hollow Falls. Tory surprises her a few months later -- with Wyatt in tow.
So now Chey and Wyatt have a second chance at romance. And Vivi, the erstwhile leader of the four, does as well. Wyatt and Vivi's love, Grant, band together to keep a developer from building a huge resort on the lake that would bring lots of money into the town but would destroy it environmentally. It was great to see how the four women, all unknown to each other just a short while ago, have used their individual skills to make a real go of the lavender farm, and how they all managed to find love and make it all work out even better.

This has been a very engrossing series, and I was excited to see how it would all tie up. I love this group of four women who are trying to move on together after devastating losses.
Both Chey and Wyatt have tried to oversome their struggles by leaving the past completely behind. It turns out that not everything in the past was bad, though. They discover that they can bring the good parts into their present and make them part of the future. It is easy to feel the base of friendship that they formed when they were young, and they have some terrific chemistry.
If you've been reading the series, then you know that Vivi hasn't told her full story yet. She does in this book. Her story has some parallels with Chey's, and they support one another as they struggle toward resolution. I don't want to spoil anything by giving details, but I liked the connection between Chey and Vivi's stories and how it all played out.
I also enjoyed the cameos by other characters from previous books. (Please tell me Bailey will get her own book someday!) I also like the new characters that were introduced. There were hints for a book for Tory. I definitely want that one. Overall, this was another heartwarming and entertaining book in the Blue Hollow Falls world.

Under a Firefly Moon is the latest book in Donna Kauffman’s Blue Hollow Falls series. While this book is part of a series this book can easily stand alone. I was drawn in to this story full of laughter, tears, confusion, love, understanding and second chances. Donna Kauffman’s characters are so wonderfully charming and have such depth that you feel like you know them. Each book in the series focuses on a different character in Blue Hollow Falls.
The story is set in Kentucky's Blue Ridge Mountains as is the rest of the series. Blue Hollow Falls is the best of small towns and has a wonderful and beautiful setting thanks to Donna Kauffman’s artistry. Every time I read one of her Blue Hollow Falls novels it is like running into old friends. This particular story highlights being environmentally friendly without destroying the charm of the area and making the world a better place.
I had so eagerly anticipated this next Blue Hollow Falls book and it did not disappoint. It was fun being back in this wonderful escape of Blue Hollow Falls. I can’t wait to see what Donna has up her sleeve next. Well done!

What a beautiful love story. I picked it up because I loved the title and it was Book #1 in a series too. That's what Amazon said: Firefly Lake Book 1! I didn't realize it was Book #4 in Blue Hallow Falls Series. Fortunately, my library carries this entire series. I will back track and read Book #1 later.
Wyatt and Cheyenne's love story was a gorgeous read. They were both lovable people who deserved a second chance at happy ending. They were back together in a perfect place for lovers, Firefly Lake. Loved how they found wonderful solutions to daunting obstacles that could've kept them apart. What I loved the most was the loving, supporting, capable friends of Cheyenne's, who had her back, and Wyatt's loyal supporters. If Blue Hallow Falls was an actual small town, I would love to live there. Sharing one of my favorite scenes:

It was revelatory, like nothing else he'd ever experienced, and it swamped him. Filling up all the empty spaces he hadn't known still existed. He was kissing Cheyenne McCafferty, and it felt like the whole world had just woken up . . . and bloomed.

Wonderful Blue Hollow Falls is home to people who love the Blue Ridge Mountains and care about the land is where they are living. Without even knowing it, Wyatt Reed is just what they needed so that is exactly who Donna Kauffman continues to give us in Under a Firefly Moon. Of course, he is also exactly what Cheyenne McCafferty needs too.
Like the other books in the series, Under a Firefly Moon has a strong vivid sense of place with small town life and close friendship bonds. This community has become family to many who live there including the women of Lavender Blue Farms.
