Mora is struggling to resist Darius and he keeps her wanting more but would he settle with her ????
She has worked hard for everything she has but can she choose........ her heart says follow love even if it's reckless but her head tells her to run away and keep running. Mora doesn't want to end up being like her birth mother and Darius makes her doubt but also soothes her. The characters are well developed and so engaging with them pulling at your emotions, well worth reading this series. ...more

My expectations were so high after the first book and now reading this one I only feel conflicted.
Maybe the third book will give the answers I desire.

There are a million things to say about Black Mark Series Book 2: Black Mark's Secrets by Ebony Olson. Wow...those are the first words that came to me after finishing the second book of this series. I love Mora even more now than I did at the end of the first book. She is such a strong character that never lets anything get her down for long. She speaks her mind and fights to preserve her since of self. And I dislike Darius more now than I did at the end of the first book. I know Mora is madly in love with him but I'd really rather see her with someone else. I'm sure it'll all work out and they w

Mora had had enough of her sexy boss, Darius Rafal. She couldn't handle being alone with him in his home any more, so she gave him her 2 weeks notice and said she'd be moving out in the morning. She had 2 weeks vacation time coming.
The next morning as she was at the door ready to make her way to the cab, she was caught off guard by Darius who came clean to her about his true feelings for her. Mora still had not told him who her father was, but that was not going to stop Darius from wanting to ma ...more

Mora struggles to resist the pull of Darius, his very presence turns her knees weak with need.
Darius keeps pushing, keeps her wanting more but is he ready to settle? What exactly is he willing to give up? And is he asking too much of Mora.
Stuck between losing Darius or losing everything else she has worked hard to acquire she has to choose. Will she follow her heart that chases love with reckless abandon or follow her head that tells her to run away and never look back?
Her greatest fear is to ...more

Well....... that was a read and a half!! To be completely honest, as I was reading this second book in this series, it was only going to be a three star rating but OH.....My.....Word..... what an ending.
The main characters are still as intense and the peripheral characters are wonderful. The beginning grabs you from the start, but the middle of the story, was for me, a bit dull, the sex was repetitive but I suppose it was all about the i ...more

Mora and Darius's secret between the two is revealed and in the end it is heartbreaking and gut wrenching for the two. Darius finally shows Mora his true feelings and shows us more about his private life and his sexual activities and fantasies. Mora is still hiding who her father is to everyone but knows that no matter what her father will come around and he'll see how much they love each other. The secrets that Mora is hiding is revealed on the day that is to be the happiest day of her life but

The intensity has risen . . . for mature adults . . .
Mora Ellis was determined to not give in to the desire her body had for her boss, Darius. She was determined to stand her ground, keep her secrets. She was a lot of things but being convinced she deserved happiness, love, a lifetime was not one of them.
Darius wants Mora. That was simple to him. But he had to sacrifice a bit more of himself if he truly wanted her. He would have to give a piece of himself that was not generally seen.

After finishing book 1 in a single day I was so glad to have book 2 to start immediately. But alas I do not have book 3 yet!
I am so in love with Mora and Darius's story. The way they feed off each other's emotions is so good. The sex is amazing as you would expect from such a volatile couple. Their anger is only matched by their passion.
Once again I was intrigued with the secondary characters. They add so much to the story. I was a little upset to not see Sophie as much and to still not get any ...more

Oh, My Lawd!
Black Mark’s Secret is quickly becoming one of my favorite books for 2017! It is intense, emotional, steamy, and absolutely flipping fantastic! First, know that this is the second book in the series and it must be read after the first book, Black Mark’s Resistance.
Now… I’m sorry to do this, but I am going to write this spoiler free. I know, I know… you want to know what the title means, but you just need to read the books ...more

*ARC for honest review.
This book is continuation of Black Mark's Resistance. The story picks up where the last book left of. The book explores the hidden history that Darius and Mora share. Their relationship develops briefly before once again being put on halt which i expect will be explored further in the next installment.
The book was easily read albeit a bit of a short story. I am once again looking forward to the next book that will continue the story of Darius and Mora. ...more

I'm honestly not sure how I feel about this book. I started out feeling very happy for and invested in the characters. Then the plot twist happened and it all seemed so ridiculous to me that I couldn't take the story seriously anymore. I ended up skimming the story quite a bit and only really becoming invested in certain passages.

This book clues you in to the meaning behind the title of the novels in this series. It's a very quick read. Good follow up to book one. I figured a twist was coming, but I really had no clue it would have been this. Brilliant and tragic.

If there was one word to describe this book it would have to be incredible. It shows such a realistic human mind. Honestly with all that pain they have gone through and still continue to it leaves you wondering will it get better? Personally i loved it because it shows no human is perfect or even close. It shows that we do have to face pain.
