A successful day for Tessa Michaels is a day when the only person she has to talk to is the pizza delivery guy. An artist and designer working from home, she rarely steps out of her comfort zone. Attending a book convention once a year is one thing. She can work herself up to it, and the attendees are more interested in her art than anything else. But when a hot publicist decides to help her with her social anxiety, her peace crashes and burns.
Cole can’t get enough of the sarcastic, sassy wallflower he’s met at a fantasy con. A successful, handsome single guy, he’s used to getting the women he fancies. When she mistakes his flirting for pity, he finds himself stuck in a self-imposed friend-zone for the first time in his life. Time to get the hell out of it.
May Sage is a USA Today Bestselling romance writer dabbling in different genres.
When she isn’t writing, she spends her time with her German Shepherd and her two Savannahs. She loves reading, ballet, running, and cake. Mostly, cake.
May Sage also writes longer fantasy romance novels as Alexi Blake.
Cole sees Tessa for the first time at her single annual outing to a fantasy convention. The beautiful artist captivates him with her humor, wit and talent. Once they both return home to the city, he basically invades her life, spending as much time with her as she allows.
Terminally shy, Tessa can't figure out why the super hot Cole wants to spend time with her. Always striving to remain invisible, she can't understand why Cole would be the one to actually see her.
Cole is going to have to work for it if he wants to keep Tessa in his life.
The banter, attraction and obvious friendship between the two make for an engaging, enjoyable romance read.
A great story, again, but I think that it wasn't a trick on the Introvert, but "coming out of her shell" both parties seemed to be "shell" people having barriers of the unincluded kind for her,and the I'm always "The One" but no one appeals to me guy! the ones who NEVER have a full-time girl friend! because they haven't a clue!!! this tale of quirky romance has all of the getting to know the characters thoughts and how they managed to come together! great addition to the "Some Girls" adventure stories !
Absolutely loved Tessa a total introvert that I can definitely relate to gets the hot guy. Cole was the perfect guy for her who sees past the quiet shy girl and inserts himself into her life to get to know her and brings her out of her shell. Loved that there conflict was not drawn out and how they worked it out. Loved everything about this book including Beau and can’t wait to read about Cole’s brother. Great read!
Let's be honest this series is just short, fast reads to unwind with. There is no need for negative reviews and reading too much into them. They are not pretending being something they are not. I had fun reading them and I was not annoyed by their plot or moral issues. This was second book that I loved in this series. Even though I liked the female MC better than the male one, they made a lovely couple and I enjoyed their union.
You know what? I love this author's work. But this one was so jarring. The story was sweet and easy to read. I was hanging in there until the weird sex scene. I don't mind sex scenes at all. Many are very erotic. This scene seemed to be thrown in because there wasn't sex in the book. I don't know, it seemed lazy.
Loved this story from the get go. Tessa is painfully shy but a gifted artist . Cole is a publisher of Michael one of Tessa's favorite authors. Cole is trying to attract Tessa but her insecurity stops her from seeing his attraction so she puts him in the friend zone. They really are a great couple, sweet, fun and loads if chemistry.
Loved that the h is an introvert. As a fellow introvert, I identified with not being able to people every day. I liked both characters and their relationship seemed real and not forced
She didn't throw herself at him he found that nice. She acted like his bf and client. So he decided to get to know her but felt like a friend zone not a future bf. They both has issues to work through till she pulled away. He fixed it and they have a chance
Omg!! I can’t believe ho W quickly I got sucked into Tessa and Coles story..... the ups and downs and Beau!! Omg Beau stole my heart within a matter of sentences! I cannot wait to find out about Cole’s brother.....
I loved it! With this author you always want more, but she’s an expert on knowing when a story should start and where it pauses for the reader. This set always brings a smile!
Another fabulous story with the usual May Sage quirky characters. I loved the push and pull between Tessa and Cole, felt like I was part of the story. Loved the teaser too. :-)
This series is good, easy-to-read, fun and entertaining. I wish the books were longer, more fleshed out and steamier. But if you enjoy quick fun reads, this series is for you.
The story was good, if cut off at the end. This is a HFN book. As with all of her Some Girls series, the storyline was excellent. I loved how she was able to do so much within a short space. Her characters are real, even too real for some of us. I like where she goes with her books—short, but packed with enough going on so that you get lost in there.
May Sage has also hired an editor & proof reader for this one & it shows greatly. There was only one tiny bit that I couldn’t make sense of, but that was all. Her helpers both need acknowledgement. I was going to give it 4⭐️, but considering the added editing, I’m bumping it up.
I really enjoyed this book very much. It had so many lol moments that just made my day. I'm looking forward to reading more of May Sage's book in the future. Keep up the good work
