After reading the previous book, I was a little worried to read this couple's story. I didn't know if there will be a lot of push and pull but thankfully most of it happened prior to the story. I liked these two and I loved Victoria! She's so cute!

The story is about Donnie and Verity.

She's Ryder's (book 7 H) sister and Donnie's friends with him.

He's the fire chief and a single dad to Victoria. And she's the nanny who's still in college.

These two fell in love with each other right away but Donnie pushed her away for the last year telling her they can't be together. He's scared to make a move because if they don't work out, he'll lose her and Victoria's going to lose the woman who takes care of her and loves her like she's her own.

A word from her and he made a move right away, not willing to let her go. But what if someone wants her as his own?

They're really great together and I enjoyed it more because of Victoria. She's a sweetheart! I loved her! I also loved how Verity treated her as her own.

It has beautiful epilogues.

That was super sweet and cheesy and steamy. Hero and heroine were lovable and so in love. Verity is such a brilliant stepmother to hero’s daughter. Short but great read. Epilogue with 6 kids melted my heart! Safe: heroine was a virgin and hero has a sweet daughter but no mention of other women.

Verity has worked for Donnie for a year now, watching over his daughter, Victoria. In that time, she's fallen for the little girl and her dad. She knows Donnie feels something for her too, but he doesn't act on it and she's quickly reaching the point where she needs to resign herself to it never happening.

Donnie has loved Verity since day one, but is unwilling to take the risk that his daughter will lose the only mother figure she's ever had. He knows her mom abandoning them had a lasting impact on her and refuses to put her through anything like that again.

But his love for Verity grows every day and denying what's between them becomes harder with each encounter. As Donnie and Verity finally act on their love for one another, someone else is watching Verity, wanting what belongs to Donnie, and he will do anything to keep her safe.

Can Donnie find Verity in time? Who took her and why? Is a HEA possible? Or will they lose what they've just now found?

One-click now and follow along as these two find the love fated to be theirs.

I loved this one. It was a great story and most of the push/pull happened before the start of the book, so I was happy about that, so we only see a slight right at the beginning but that's over as soon as it's begun. Great read. The only drama was a stalker and for safety: he did give her date rape drug, but he didn't touch her or even mess with her clothes. It's a great read of just them getting together. Great story.

Summer Kisses is the 8th book in the Missing Junction series. I've been waiting forever for this story. Ok.. That might be a slight exaggeration, lol.

Donnie and Verity were really great together, and I absolutely adored Victoria.

Short, sweet read with sexy times thrown in. Definitely worth the read.

4 big stars!

Yikes, I wish I had known beforehand what this would be.

The premise was fun, and there was chemistry. But there were three things that didn’t work for me. 1) his daughter is 7 years old, but alternates between sounding her age and sounding like a 3 year old. It was oddly annoying. 2) the whole stalker thing. Seriously, only three men are mentioned in this book and all three are desperately in love with Verity...sure, ok. 3) my biggest issue is the whole “breeding” and virgin heroine thing. I hate both but have read virgin heroines that make sense. This book failed miserably and kind of grossed me out when he mentioned “seeing her dried virgin blood” at the base of his dick...and that the sight of it turned him on. That’s some next level grossness.

Summer Kisses

Summer Kisses is the 8th books in the Kissing Junction series. Donnie and Verity’s Love was a long time coming (I have been waiting forever!!) This hot alpha and strong heroine had a rocky road to travel to finally get their happily ever after. Summer Kisses is a stand alone book, however you will not be disappointed if you start with book 1.

Wonderful!! This was a nice quick, short read.

Donnie and Verity meet when she answers an ad in the newspaper, he needs a nanny for his seven year old daughter. They have both wanted each other for a year, but he doesn’t want to ruin the relationship she has with his daughter. When Verity decides enough is enough she tells Donnie she is going out on a date. He doesn’t like that idea. So he tells her she is going out with him. He has his brother, Gage watch Victoria, his daughter. They don’t get to go out on their date, they want each other to much. He takes her to his bedroom and makes her his. The next morning she wakes up and runs to Gage’s ranch to take Victoria to school. When she comes back Donnie has breakfast ready and waiting for her. She then heads off to her classes at college. The entire school year Verity feels off like someone is always watching her. She has had her car vandalized, slashed tires, broken windows, someone even put something in her gas tank so it wouldn’t start. One of the kids in her class offers her a ride home but she refuses it, only because she’s not sure of him. After school Donnie has made supper, they go to the couch to watch a movie when she tells him she isn’t going to school to be a doctor she changed her major to fashion design, it what makes her happy. He tells her if she is happy he is happy for her. He’s seen some of her designs on his table and he thinks they are fabulous. He tells her he wants to let Victoria know they are seeing each other and he wants her to sleep in his bed every night. Since her car was ruined he goes and buy her a new car and tells her she needs something reliable to drive Victoria around. After they go to bed and get physical Donnie tells her he loves her and has since he first meet her. She tells him she loves him also and has for a while now. One month later, Donnie talks to Victoria about asking Verity to marry him, she really wants her to be her mommy. Donnie tells her she has a mom in Dallas, she tells her dad she doesn’t have a mommy and wants that to be Verity. When Verity comes home from school they all sit and watch a movie. Then Victoria gets ready for bed, she asks Verity to read to her. When Verity is in the middle of the story Victoria ask her a question, she asks her if she’ll be her mommy. When Verity explains she has one, Victoria tells her she has a mom not a mommy. Victoria also tells her her daddy and her want her to be theirs. When she looks up Donnie is down on one knee with a beautiful ring in his hand. Verity tells Donnie of course she will marry him. Victoria is happy they will be married and she gets a new dress. Verity tells Donnie and her brother Ryder about the weird things that have been happening to her at school. They of course want to be with her all the time. She convinced them she can take care of herself and it would be impossible for them to with her. She meets up with her friends for a study group in the library. When they see her ring they want all the details. One of the guys walks her to her car, but she is attacked from behind and the lights go out. Donnie gets a phone call at work from Kristy that Verity hasn’t picked up Victoria. He knows something is wrong. He calls his brother, Gage to ask if he can watch Victoria. Then he calls the Sheriff to tells him what happened. He finds a letter in her car and nothing is adding up, she has been taken. The Sheriff picks up one of the guys from her study group but they don’t have evidence he did anything wrong he is let go. Two days go by with no luck finding Verity. Donnie is out looking for her he can sense she needs him. He gets a call on the radio there’s a fire at an abandoned warehouse so he heads that way. He can hear shouting so he grabs his mask and heads inside. Donnie see Verity tied to a chair, before he reaches her the man that called it in, roof collapsed on him killing him instantly. Donnie rushes to Verity and picks her up and carries her out. The next thing he knows they are at the hospital, Matt tells him there’s no swelling on her brain so she should wake up. He also informs Donnie that the baby is fine. Verity was knocked out and she remembers waking up chained to a bed. She tried to get help but George her capture knocked her out. When she tried to escape he tied her to a chair then told her he was going to kill her and Donnie. She wakes and is in the hospital and Donnie tells her she is safe. Donnie tells her someone needs to see her, Victoria comes in in tears, she thought she left her. Verity reassures her she is never leaving her. Gage takes Victoria to get some snacks and Suzy comes in to check Verity out, she tells her her brother is waiting to see her. She gets the news that she is also pregnant and is very happy. The Sheriff comes in to get a statement from Verity. She is told she needs to stay in the hospital for twelve hours for observation. They all snuggle on the bed with Verity. Five months later, they got married the day after she was released from the hospital. They are having a baby shower and gender reveal. When they pull the tape off the box blue balloons come out, it’s a boy, David. Eleven Years Later, Victoria is graduating high school and headed to California for college. They have six children and Verity started a fashion line for plus size women. David is now ten, Lance is seven, Ronny is four, Xander is two and Heather is two months old.

Donnie and Verity

**Disclaimer**
I read the previous six books in 4 days back to back before i was gifted with this free ARC in exchange for a honest review. My opinions are based on the fact that I rushed through this series and didn't read them originally when they were first published but basically altogether.

I loved Donnie and Verity. I loved both of their personalities and the way that they held themselves. I liked that they knew eachother for a year before they started something even though they had feelings for each other the whole time. Ms. Fast described this book as a slowburn in her synopsis. I don't see it as a slow burn only because we aren't privy to their time together before their actual....coming together. We read in the last book Shamrock Kisses that Verity had been nannying for Donnie and that they both liked eachother but we didn't really see it. What we see in their book at the beginning is Verity tired of Donnie pushing her away and saying she is going on a date and Donnie getting jealous so he finally claims her. The rest of the book is them being totally in love. Telling eachother how much they love eachother and lots of sex scenes that take up a couple pages of the book. I wouldn't have had a problem with it if they didn't have sex every few pages. Also because like I said I just finished all of Ms. Fast's other books in the series so i was kinda burnt out with all of the sex scenes. They do feel a little repetivitive in the way they have sex. ( like saying that all of the men use their lower abs to rub against the girls clit as a stimulation to get her to orgasm). And omg they talk a whole lot during sex with how much they tell eachother they love each other!!...
Moving on.. I did enjoy this book and I'm sure that i will reread these books again and am excited to hear about all the other characters in the story. I don't know if Ms.Fast will write gay/lesbian stories but I would really like to hear more about the Sheriff and Eddie? (Im sorry i forgot his name). Also Meghan and Trinity? (Also sorry if i got her name wrong too). The mystery aspect was a great change of pace and i thought i knew who the villian was until you added another character!! Really entertaining read. If you haven't read any of KL Fast's work before I suggest you give it a try... But pace yourself so you can enjoy them individually like they were meant to be!!

Short, sweet, and oh so hot!

I really enjoyed this book! It's got everything i like in a quick read novella. It's super sweet and gooey, it's got a whole lot of spice, and it's got a bit of suspense. I really have only 2 small complaints and those are why i left one star off of my rating. Complaint #1: There are a few noticeable editing oversights that made it difficult for me to stay engrossed in the story. I had to go back and re-read it in order to figure out what the author was trying to say.
Complaint #2: The author needs to use more contractions in their writing. As English is my native language both i myself and pretty much everyone i know who speaks English as their 1st language, uses contractions almost all the time. For the most part, I've noticed that we only purposely don't use contractions is when we are trying to emphasize our point. When i read this book, and pretty much all of the other books ive read by this author, I've noticed a distinct lack of contractions. Almost always using i am instead of I'm, etc... To me, when I read this authors work, i found it to be a tad awkward and didn't come off as realistically as it could have. This by no means impacts the quality of the writing, it just made it a bit more difficult to get truly engrossed in the book. These two reasons are why i left one star off of my rating. Other than that, it was a really good book that i enjoyed quite a bit. It's perfect for a quick, hot little escape from daily life. You can get it done in about an hour of uninterrupted reading time. I finished the whole thing right before bed. I didn't even have to force myself to put it down just so i could get some rest. I can't wait to see what the author's got coming next for this series!

Summer kisses is book eight in the kissing junction TX series. I really like all the books in this series but this one is my favourite. I devoured this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I liked Donnie and Verity. I liked that Verity had been Donnie’s daughter, Victoria’s nanny for a year. Both of them had wanted one another for a year. Verity wanted Donnie, she was in love with him but he refused to act on their attraction. Donnie wanted Verity the moment she answered his nanny AD. He loved her but refused to make a move because of the age difference and the fear of him and his daughter losing her if it didn’t work out. When Verity finally confronted Donnie and told him she was going on a date, he decided enough was enough. He was finally ready to claim his woman.
The chemistry between Donnie and Verity was undeniable. The attraction between them was through the roof and I liked them as a couple. I love, love, love Verity’s bond with Victoria. I liked that Victoria saw Verity as her mother and I loved what she said to Donnie about the difference between Verity and her birth mother.
The stalker and kidnap situation had me on the edge of my seat. I kind of had an idea who the culprit was but I liked the twist and turns.
I really liked the epilogue/so many years later part of this story. I liked seeing Verity with a grown up Victoria and her other children. The love between Verity and Donnie is just as strong, if not stronger than when they first got together.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series – I hope it isn’t finished

We finally get Donnie and Verity's story! I've been waiting for their story for so long, I was becoming so anxious... but it was worth the wait 💛

This story was everything I expected from these two awesome authors, M.K. Moore & K.L. Fast 💖
Donnie had been fighting for over a year his feelings for Verity so I'm glad that Verity got fed up and gave him a small push... Can't spoil it for you guys, so go ahead and read this to find out, you won't regret it 😉 But, let's just say, it got Donnie's head out of his rear and FINALLY CLAIMED HIS WOMAN!! Now, let me tell you, the claiming was super hot, sexy and filled with a lot of dirty talk and jeez, Verity got what she wanted and much more and she completely loved every single moment of it 😍

As we know, in every story, there's are some obstacles always trying to get between the main characters and in this one, it was no exception. I think this one in this series was one with the most action and suspense to me, luckily everything turned out alright and Donnie got his woman, his daughter, Victoria who loves Verity and vice versa and they share a beautiful bond and at the end, they all got a beautiful happy ending with a beautiful and big family 💖

Hot, hot, hot... and oh so sweet, sweet, sweet!!!

When the authors leave a warning about “a backdraft of emotions,” take that into consideration. I am not a soft person and I don't really ever show emotions when reading but this book did it for me. It was so hot, so full of passion, lust, love and sweetness.

I have only read a few of the books in this standalone series so I am not quite caught up with the past characters, so at the beginning of this book I felt thrown into the world that others might already know. That being said, I did not feel like I was missing anything and I had a great time reading this story.

I loved both of these characters (Donnie and Verity) and felt that they were the perfect match for each other. Though the book was a shorter read, I was right there with the secondary characters when they stated "about time" to these two getting together. There was both passion and action woven into this story. It has a tad bit of mystery and was fun to try and guess who was responsible.

Oh, and the little girl in this story was beyond cute and might have stolen a few scenes! I just loved everything about this book and can't wait to read the books I have missed. If you are looking for a sweet story with all the feelings, a hot alpha man who takes care of his, and a woman who knows what she wants, then this is the book for you!

Donnie never expected to find love by needing a nanny. Verity never thought she would find the loves of her life through a want ad. Too bad Donnie thinks he is too old for Verity and spends a year keeping his distance. Verity is tired of hurting, tired of waiting. So she decides to tell him she is going on a date. Will Donnie let her go or finally take her in his arms and never let go?

Oh my gosh, loved this novella sooo much! Verity is a firecracker, Donnie is yummy and his daughter Victoria is absolutely adorable without being a caricature of a child. Summer Kisses gave me that happily-ever-after feeling and put a smile on my face. The Kissing Junction tales are cute quick little tales that will require a cold drink and a fan to be on hand. The novellas are intertwined since it is a small town and everyone knows everyone. But I picked up this one without having read all the previous and the characters are able to stand on their own. If you are into love at first sight and the like, I highly recommend KL Fast, MK Moore and the books of Kissing Junction!

Verity is Donnie’s nanny for his 7-year-old daughter, Victoria. Over time she has fallen in love with Victoria as well as Donnie. Donnie feels that she is too young and despite his feelings towards Verity, he doesn’t want to fracture the close relationship she has with Victoria in case things don’t work out. Tired of waiting for Donnie to make his move, she tells him one night not to wait up because she has a date. That seems to snap Donnie out of the employer/employee relationship and finally marking his territory to show no one will ever touch what is his.

This novella is a sweet story with a lot of steam! Throw in a stalker and you have a great, quick read!

I voluntarily read an advanced reader’s copy.

Truth

Summer kisses is a sweet romance with a twist. Verity wants Donnie, but is sick of waiting on the man to get his head out of the sand. Donnie's got a young daughter to worry about, but can't help falling in love for her babysitter Verity. He's been hurt and most of all saw the hurt in his baby girls eyes. Donnie doesn't know if he can risk it, but he can't let her go. These two come together in a sweet romance with a little mystery when someone starts threatening his lady love Donnie will protect what is his. It will keep you guessing til the end in this fast steamy romance. Happy reading!

Received as an ARC for an honest review.
Verity was the babysitter Donnie hired to watch his littler girl. Verity loved the little girl as her own. Donnie has been reluctant to start a relationship with her in fear of what would happen if they break up. Verity just wants to have a relationship with Donnie. They finally get together and his little girl couldn't be happier that they are finally together. There was some suspense in the book but it made their relationship all that much sweater. Loved it.

Sweet story

Review:
This book was super sweet. I love the whole single dad troupe and especially when the child finds a mom who is loving. Hence, this story gripped my heart and had me emotional.

I loved this story so so much. Also that last epilogue hit me in all the feels. What a way to get me sucked in!

This a a wonderfully sweet story! I enjoyed it from page one until the end! I adored little Victoria, Donnie and Verity very much. But, I would like to point out, that poor baby cow is gonna have an identity crises. In the first chapter he was named Sprinkles, but after that was referred to as Sparkles.

Stubborn meets Feisty

Verity and Donnie’s story is one for the books for sure. He’s stubborn and she’s feisty. He’s trying to hold back and she’s had enough. Find out what happens and watch their love bloom through a twist no one was expecting.

More depth in story, surprises in storyline. Romance as usual, is spicy and this time, happens a bit slower but no less happy.
