I bought this in the gift shop to make some sense of the incredible richness that I'd just seen. Having read this, I must return to the Scuola Grande and experience it all again, more deeply thanks to this book.
That said, it's pretty purely descriptive with few, brief historical notes. I'd like more background, but I guess I'll need a good biography for that.
Also, the book is not really big enough to appreciate all the details in the art works. Fortunately I took many hi-resolution photos to refresh my memory, and this book is a good key to those.
