This engaging series is the first to offer young adults a concise, completely current, and very readable survey of the world's great religions. Each volume describes where a particular religion is practiced, its central beliefs and rituals, its contributions to world civilizations, and an analysis of how it has spread through immigration and conversion.

This survey of traditional Hindu customs and beliefs is complemented by a discussion of their place in the modern world.

Starts out telling you the basic topics, then expands on each throughout the book. A good introduction to Hinduism.

I liked the book because it went over all of Hinduism 120 pages which meant it couldn't go into to much detail which is good because it was already difficult for me to read. I would recommend this book to people who don't know much about Hinduism and are interested in it because its a good overview. all the characters were believable except for the gods

This is an excellent overview of the religion, culture, history, and anthropology of "Hinduism."It looks at the origin of the term, the evolution of the religion, and goes into the modern social reforms as well. Fascinating, and very useful.
