When you think of Will and Kansas, you expect a few things: action, adventure, mystical experiences, treasure, flying, smart animals, and beautiful women. The Lost Road to Key West doesn't disappoint in any of those departments! This one differs though in that it was based on a supposedly true and mysterious story that involves a century-old government coverup. And on the animal side, well, let's just say I'll never look at an Osprey the same way again. A great read, and great fun!

One of my great thrills every 6 months or so is getting the chance to serve as a pre-reader for one of Michael Reisig's adventure novels. I've been a fan of his work for many, many years primarily due to the outstanding and creative plots that he generates, the memorable characters that he creates, and the sheer fun it is to read his books.
I'm happy to report that "The Lost Road to Key West" has all of these attributes!

Kansas Stamps and Will Bell's latest adventure takes them out of the Caribbea

I love the outlandish sense of adventure of these two guys, long time buddies, Kansas Stamps and Will Bell. If they can't find a new adventure, you know it will find them and you will have something even more wild than before. The entertainment comes in the way that author Michael Reisig weaves his fiction adventure where truth lies. Somewhere, somehow, Reisig finds little known legends and wraps his artistic prose around it. Was it just a way to sell newspapers, or did the April 5, 1909 edition ...more

Another treasure to find

I love the history in Michael's books, I believe I have read all of the Key West books, and look for more. The adventures these guys have is so exciting. They let me feel I am part of the fun and danger. Like the characters have my back when encountering the danger, and I'm sitting in on the plans they are making. And finding the treasures, I can actually see the items of gold. I can feel the exhaustion when they are on the move, or in the bedroom. I so would love to sit

Great Entertainment

This book has an ensemble cast of rare and wonderful characters. Each is compelling in their own way, and together they provide great entertainment. The story concerns a lost civilization that lived in large caverns in the cliffs of the Grand Canyon. While the good guys want to bring the news to the world, the bad guys prefer the status quo. With many unique and loveable characters and one real stinker, the story provides both suspense and humor. Now I want to read more Road

Kansas, Will, and the gang travel to... the past!

I can honestly say I did not see this plot coming. What a wild trip into a history that may or may not have happened. Without spoiling anything, I hopped onto google after reading this book, and the thing they’re looking for really is based on something that was reported on by a couple explorers. Some debate about the veracity of the report, but no denying its an interesting choice of subject! As usual with Reisig, the thrills keep coming and ther

Will and Kansas are really living on the edge this time. Fresh back from a successful adventure, They run in to their friend Dax, who has an amazing story to tell and a map to back it up. An ancient Egyptian city in the Grand Canyon? That's nuts! This book feeds off of an actual expedition that took place over 100 years ago and the government has been trying to keep under wraps since. In fact people that have come across this end up not being heard from again. Right up Kansas and Will's alley! V ...more

Great book

I so enjoy this book. What a adventure. I plan on reading all of Michael Reisig books. Just when you think all will slow down, a new adventure starts up again. I loved all the caritures in this book. The close relationship between them made you feel warm inside. Please read these books and enjoy the adventures.

This is an entertaining archeology adventure story that takes a factual story and provides a "what if" by weaving some ancient history in with all the best parts of an adventure story. While this is my first The Road To Key West Book, I look forward to reading more of these.

So So tale of treasure hunters following clues to an ancient Egyptian settlement in the wall of the Grand Canyon and being protected by an official from the Smithsonian. A basic action /adventure tale simply written.

Once again, into the fire.

I love to read about these two and their friends. There is insight into their thinking and frivolity throughout. The only way for you to enjoy these guys is to read one of their adventures. You'll become a fan.

I really enjoy this series . Kept waiting for an appearance by the mysterious Rufus but I guess this was out of his realm of responsibility. Good read love the coming out of the Osprey.

Adventure and Hidden Histery

Reisig reveals a tale of epic ancient secrets and men driven by unbridled greed and paranoia. Certainly a good read, certainly original.
