The goal of this book is to provide a basic understanding of mathematics at an intro to college level. The book is designed to go along with a course of Intro to College Math for those pursuing Nursing AAS or similar programs. It is also designed as a refresher for adult students going back into the classroom. The course is divided into four main Arithmetic, Geometry, Algebra, and Statistics/Probability. This book is an expanded form of my lecture notes and includes extra explanations, examples, and practice. Solutions to practice sets are at the back of the book.
The only reason for 3 stars is that I have found a simple mathematical error very early in the book. (Practice 3 question # 10. Kindle version) The book is well written, easy to understand and simple to follow but I will have to put this book down and find another college math prep book. This was a simple math problem and I don't have much faith in the rest of the book. I am hoping this was a kindle error and not an author error.
