Misty Friday is given an assignment by her boss at the paranormal magazine and then gets a letter from England telling her to solve a murder in the same town that her boss wants the article about. She and pal Cordelia take a quick trip there and do some research. Once they get back to the magazine the next week, her boss (Skinny) sends her back for more research, pictures, and to "take it to the next level." Unfortunately things don't go smoothly for Misty...

Once again the author has written a fun book about the paranormal, with enough research of beliefs that I thought I had either inadvertently signed up for a college class, or was going to be tested. Seriously, the amount of research this author puts into her books is amazing. And lest you think she is flaunting this knowledge, read on, because Misty and John are hilarious in their lack of comprehension during the lecture given within the book. But even the densest of people (perhaps that's me?) manage to learn some interesting tidbits about keeping spirits around to do your bidding for years after their deaths!

This is a series that needs to be read in order. Characters come and go between the books. In fact, bookstores come and go as well. And certain gigantic undies reappear at the strangest times. Lots of mystery mixed with fun. I highly recommend this series by Morgana Best!

This is the third and final book in a boxset, His Ghoul Friday.
I enjoy this series so much. Misty Friday is a witch. The author doesn’t make it all cutesy twitching nose, ( I love Bewitched but those of us old enough to have watched know it was cute), to make funny situations. She teaches me, in a very fun way, new things and speaks of things I already know. She keeps it interesting while keeping it comfortable and wraps it up in a an entertaining package. Every book I have read in the series has been fun to read. The mysteries are not too easy or hard and I am surprised by them. The books can be read on their own because each main mystery is solved but because there is a mystery that carries from book to book, (no major cliffhangers just something mysterious for Misty that we learn about as she does), it is best to read this in order. I find each book surprises me by being better than the previous one. A possible love interest is back. I’m enjoying that exploration so far. I really like the pacing of it. Cordelia and my favorite Aunty June are back. I liked seeing more of Cordelia in this book. I’m really kind of suspicious of Skinny. I just get a vibe from her. I’m ready for book four, Make Some Magic.

Arts and Witchcrafts is Book 3 in His Ghoul Friday Paranormal Cozy Series by Morgana Best.

Misty Friday , the main character is back and trouble seems to find her! She has an assignment by her boss "Skinny" at the paranormal magazine she works for.

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite series. The author has put so much time into researching the paranormal subject matter that the reader will feel impressed that your actually there in person.

Misty is smart, sassy, and hilarious! I just love her and her best gal pal Cordelia. The characters are well developed . The mystery is great and it totally surprised me.

This book does act as a stand alone book, but I do recommend reading the first two books not only because they are equally fantastic, but also to enjoy those stories and mysteries too!

I highly recommend this series. You don't want to miss it!

Misty Friday: Newly appointed Keeper of the society, now has the ability to see and communicate with ghosts. She is tasked with solving a 150 years old murder. She also has some unusual help in solving the case.
Aunty June: An enigma who pops up just before a stressful time is starting, the disappears because she can't interfere. Has given us some clues about her own past.
The mysterious John Marshall. Once again arrives just in the nick of time to help solve a problem, and to keep Misty as safe as possible.

This is another fun story from Morgana Best. She has put untold hours of research into these stories, and it shows. There are several humorous moments in the story to help keep things lite and fun, well-developed characters, and plenty of suspense.

Misty is sent on a new job assignment for her magazine to find out why the ghost tours have stopped in Morpeth. She also gets notified that her first assignment as "the keeper" is to find out who killed Morgan Baxter over 150 years ago. As she became the new keeper she has gotten the ability to see and sense spirits. When she begins her investigations, she is almost run down by a car. Now she needs to add who is trying to kill her and why to her schedule. As she gets closer to the answers, she has more attempts on her life as well. Good thing the sexy and mysterious John Smith shows up just in time to help her. As its getting harder to be around his sexiness, she begins to improve on her sleuthing skills. I enjoyed this book a lot because it is well written, less history facts and the characters are very interesting. I certainly recommend this book and am looking forward to book #4 !

The ghostly workers

A good read that mixed voodoo, hoodoo and magic in a tale that concerns a death that happened over a hundred years ago.
She was pulled into the case by Skinny wanting a piece on most haunted town in the area. But a letter arrived asking her to investigate a murder. Thankfully both at the same town. Throw in a new ability to sense/ghosts, attempts to kill her, a hidden treasure, a death that she can't find anything about, text messages from a blocked number, poisoning and the return of John. What actually happened to the man that died? Was he really killed with the members of an infamous gang? Why does all the information she uncovers lead to African magic? Will she live to tell the tale? What has Skinny got planned for her now?

Misty has bills to pay, a job as a reporter with a paranormal magazine, a good friend from work, and the boss from The Pit. The assignment is to write and send photos of ghosts in Morpeth but it soon gets more complicated when a secretive Ghost Tour guide tasks her with finding the murderer of Baxter Morgan. And then there's the disappearing bookstore. And the odd timing of visits by Auntie June. And the attempts on her life. And investigating different necromancy cults. And, of course, the laughs! Another super book!

What a fun and entertaining mystery. Misty has her hands full and someone is trying to murder her. What she has going for her is that her forgetfulness keeps her from being murdered. Who is the society? What is she keeper of? These and more questions will appear throughout the story. Try to solve the mystery before the end and enjoy the ride. After all ghosts can be helpful when you are trying to solve a mystery.
A truly fun book. Morgana Best books are totally worth reading. Try them, and you will find a new favorite author.

Misty has returned to Australia and gets sent to a town which has ghosts. However, Misty can’t sense any. Since her visit to England, Misty seems to sense ghosts everywhere. While investigating the town, she receives a message asking her to solve a century-old murder. Will she be able to solve this murder and who wants her to do this?

I enjoyed this book and look forward to see where Misty goes in the future.

I love this book. It's third in the series but it's been so well written that can be read as a stand alone. But, I recommend starting at the beginning of the series. You will enjoy each book so much better!! Misty is sent to a ghost town where there are no more ghost tours. The ghosts have disapperpared. Plus, her new position as keeper has her investigating a cold case - a murder case from 150 years ago. Aunt June and John Smith return in this book to give her advice...or not.

Life gets more complicated for Misty.

Love the heroine and this series. Misty is a great researcher, fortunately, as her life is getting much more complicated and dangerous. Her gift for finding facts is keeping her alive. Lot of history in this book which I enjoy. Not the usual murder mystery this time. Looking forward to the next book.

Wonderful read!

Misty inherited two things her aunt: the title of Keeper of some secret order(and that is all she knows about it), and the ability to see ghosts. She also writes for a paranormal paper. Imagine her surprise to find, on assignment, that one of the usually ghost filled towns is suddenly ghost free? I loved it, as well as the rest of the His Ghoul Friday series!

Fun read

Mystery, magic, death. Good story line. African voodoo is an odd concept for an Australian mystery but this story artfully wove it in and it was information that intrigued me. Worth reading this book.

An education in voudou

Quite educational and entertaining. Misty described my migraines to a T. I thought I was the only 1 who had violent migraine experiences. Misty is getting in deeper without knowing what or why.

It was OK, so why only three stars?
Mainly because one section (with the academic) just went on for too long, I skipped a lot of it and it made no difference to my enjoyment of the story.

Aunty June doesn't show up as much but Misty is finally showing some "witchiness". Good mystery involving the past and the present. Misty gets some much needed help from John Smith.
