descriptionCHRIST ON A CRACKER...Two books down, one to go. And this book was just as fantastic as book one. The writing is phenomenal. It is well paced. The plot continues to be crazy engaging with twists and turns galore. Mischa was slightly more palatable in this book. SLIGHTLY (lol) The guy acts like a serious child sometimes, but the character showed growth and that is what you want to happen in any multi book series. The same goes for Ellen. I wasn't sure which way her character was headed after the

Holy moly! If you thought Book 1 was intense book 2 is going make you reevaluate what intense really means.

Poor Ellen. How much can one person go through? She never asked to be any part of this war and somehow she ended up smack dab in the middle just trying to survive. She just figured out how to play Robert’s game and now she has to figure out Mischa’s.

Mischa. You just want to reach through the pages and shake that man. He is so frustrating!! On way hand you can totally sympathies with him b

*“Open my eyes,” I say simply. “Let me learn this world for myself and tell me everything. Everything he never did.”*

If I thought the first book was amazing, it was nothing compared to this one. The story is darker, grittier and more addictive than XV. Lana Sky has written a compelling and remarkable story that hooks you immediately. It is a complete mind bend. For every answer we get, it seems like we get three more questions. And yet, I love it!

I have to say, Mischa is mine!

Mischa & Ellen's story continues in 'VII: War of Roses Book 2', & what a story. It is intense, horrifying, dark, haunting, brutal & utterly mesmerizing.
Ellen (Rose) continues to be swirled deeper & deeper into the dizzying, dangerous & absolutely vicious world of Mischa & the Mafiya of which he is one of a few terrifying controllers. She is swept into the riptide known as Mischa, & every time she thinks she may get a few strokes ahead, catch her breath, that she is be

It is a great book and read. You get further into the psyches of both the main characters. The book is filled with many revelations that will weave you into a more entagling web of the stories, theroies, your hunches, etc.

You get more details about both the characters and it makes you understand them a little better. Mischa is the most fascinating one from all. He tries so hard to be a monster but there are small things that prove the opposite to be true. Similarly, Ellen tries so hard to be tha

VII: Seven War of Roses Book 2 by Lana Sky

Ellen has been through hell and back after being taken by Mischa. Memories that she had long forgotten have come back to haunt her.

Mischa Stepanov has taken the one thing that could break Robert, his wife. He can’t kill her like he thought but instead he will protect her even if it makes him look weak.

Ellen Winthrop has been pulled into a blood feud between the Winthrops and the Mafia that has been going on longer than she has been alive. Stuck between a

Lana Sky has written another riveting tale of secrets, survival and seduction in VII : Seven. Where the angels hide behind the tainted souls, beauty hides behind scars of ugly trauma and love hides behind betrayal but when they come out of their dark corners even momentarily, that is a spectacular and overwhelming feeling.

The story of Miscah and Elle continues in VII. And the more the story progresses, the more I get intrigued by Miscah. He is an enigma. He has layers that I have not even start

I thought book one left me breathless. It did, but wow, book two took my breath away more than I ever imagined it could. Book two picks up where book one left off so you do need to read them in order.

Ellen and Mischa's "relationship" is more than messed up. Ellen endures even more trauma in book two, you wonder how she's managed to stay alive to this point. Mischa is just plain cruel, or is he? He physically and emotionally abuses Ellen. However, we are given glimpses into a man who may care mo

Incredibly twisted and I demand more. Powerful dominating and disturbing is the best way to describe the brilliance of this amazing read. It's cold cruel riddled in darkness and cripples you with emotions rattling your senses and stirs your arousal for more. The storyline pushes you harder drilling deeper making me feel and see with a realistic hold that is impossible to escape and at times hard to digest dominating your control feeding your addiction page b

I hinted before that I was not sure which friends were really friends and if the supposed enemies were truly enemies. Now I am even more unsure of who to trust.

Retaliation against Mischa leaves 'little rose' with her petals crushed.
Robert's secrets are exposed.
Sergei, I'm not sure if he has the best of intentions or is working his own agenda.
Vanya, his kindness confuses me, almost makes me think something is off. He could be a key player in this puzzle.
Mouse, there is a story there.

This book picks up right after the end of XV (book 1) and is written in first POV (Ellen). Like I said in my review of the first book, Ellen and Mischa's story is not a romantic love story. Their story is brutal as they continue to battle each other and all of the other outside forces that trying to get to them (or get Ellen away from Mischa). During the course of this book, Ellen experiences even more physical trauma, but none of it is from Mischa. The author starts showing a subtle shift in th ...more

Holy heck what have I read?

VII is the second book of the series War of Roses. It is the story of Ellen, the woman who is caught up in 2 mafia freud and Mischa, the lead Mafia.

The further you read the book the more details and information are revealed about Ellen and Mischa. VII is a captivating story with so many secrets and so many revelations.

In the last book, I personally found Ellen very interesting however in this book, I just can’t get my head around Mischa. Mischa’s character is just so

I voluntatily reviewed a copy of :VII:SEVEN WAR OF ROSES" Phenominally well written storyline you just can't get enough of this series it is dark, intense, twisted, brutal, violence, suspense, kidnapping, abuse, rough angry sex scenes, emotional trauma.
Mischa and Ellen aka Little Rose have the most explosive brutal chemistry he wants to own her body, heart, soul, mind but he makes sure to tell her she not worthy, and she so tired if it all she just takes it.

In Short

- This is a very dark book.

- Mischa is an obsessed, twisted but addictive character who is very unpredictable.

- I feel attached to Ellen and her cruel life.

In Long

Lana Sky is an author that has managed to take me through every emotion you can think of in such an intense form with this book. It was a real whirlwind of everything.

VII is dark, with so many dark, violent scenes. I did find these tested me and really pushed me to my limit because of the

This is a true psychological drama, where the dialogue is what matters the most in the story. We catch up with Ellen and Mischa, and Ellen is dragged even deeper into Mischa's mafia world. Mischa is an enigma...he keeps Ellen on her toes with information that may or may not be the truth.

I was riveted by the scenes between the two lovers...or are they enemies? It's not very clear for a while. What is clear is that Mischa has an agenda, and Ellen 's role may not be accidental. Perhaps the fact th

Mischa Stepanov is one hot blooded mercurial, volatile and broody dude. He has my head spinning so fast I don’t know if I want to bang him like a screen door in a hurricane or put him down like the rabid dog he is. But beneath that temperamental spasmodic demeanor is a gentleness, a benevolence that peaks through every so often.

Ellen Winthrop is put through a blender and battered physically and mentally since her captivity. She is a survivor, she has endured

Ok I'm pretty sure this review is going to be all over the place. Please bear with me as I'm trying to put all of my jumbled thoughts in it. I read this book in one sitting. The plot and storyline pull you in, and have you sitting on the edge of your seat just begging for a morsel.

OH MY HELL! This next book in the War of the Roses series/trilogy only whetted my appetite for more! Just in case you didn't catch it, YOU MUST READ XV (Fifteen) FIRST! Even if I wanted to, and I really don't to be honest, I'm not going into any detail at all because as far as I'm concerned, the blurb is enough. In this book, there are more twists, yeah, I couldn't believe the diabolically brilliant Lana Sky could come up with more but she rose, so my f-bomb dropping was crazy & non stop. My ...more

This legit might be my favorite series by Lana so far, and y'all that is freaking hard to do. I think I actually began my love of dark romances because of her... no pressure at all right?

This book starts right at the end of Book 1 and and we get a deeper dive into just exactly who Ellen and Misha are and y'all it is pretty freaking crazy! We get insights in to what makes Ellen tick and also what makes Misha all ragey.

This is not a happily-ever-after book and being that it is right smack dab in

This book... Goodness. VII is much more intense if I'd say so myself. Mischa and Ellen's connection is fiery, vicious, and borders on insanity. Because I'm telling you, Mischa is whole different kind of man. I've finished this book barely breathing at all.

The story started from that epic ending from book 1. Ellen seems to be free now from Winthorp's clutches', but could she say the same in Mischa's arms? Was he the lesser evil?

Mischa, oh Mischa. I couldn't count the time that I've wanted to th

Yes Yes Yes...the ENDING MADE ME GASP!!! I do not want to give away anything but when it comes to dark, nightmarishly twisted romance Lana Sky is the Queen. Taking off where XV left off, Ellen continues down the dark path of destruction with Mischa. To say when these two get together is EXPLOSIVE is an understatement. When Ellen is with him she is wondering when he is going to eventually kill her but the real danger is him killing her soul, breaking her down to nothing. At times she threatens to ...more

I was on the edge of my seat as I was taken through so many twists, turns, secrets, and surprises. I love how the characters keep growing, especially Ellen. Where are you taking us, in this story, Lana Sky?!
In VII the plot it's getting more thick, twisted, darker, and more vicious than the first. More questions, more monsters appearing deceived in more intrigues and secrets from the past. Family's war, secrets buried in blood.
Between Misha and Ellen the things are changing, she is learning more about her husband, her past and specially about her captor Misha and his insane wish for revenge against the Winthorpe family.

“Mischa is changing me, and I don’t know who I’ll become when he’s through. Someone twisted enough to want… More.”

VII is a battle of the titans to me. Mischa is so bull-headed and portrays a child half the time. With his ‘tantrums’ and his denial of his feelings. Little Rose does almost the same exact thing. They are the most stubborn and bull-headed pairing.

VII dives more into the emotional aspect of the harassers. It starts to show a different side to Mischa and it reveals a little more of Ros

This is book two in the War of the Rose's series. This is not a standalone, got back and read book one first. In book two we get the continuation of Mischa and Ellen. These two characters are as entertaining as they are frustrating but it all makes sense in the world they exist in and their pasts. This book will give you a few answers but it poses more questions too. I enjoyed seeing both Mischa and Ellen grow in this book and take a few risks, even though it went against everything in them. I’m still reeling. I can’t wait to read the next book. It’s amazing how the characters grow and with each book a different side is revealed but right when you think you’ve seen it all something unexpected happens. It’s amazing how much Ellen has grown.
