While this is supposedly a 2019 edition, I found prices to be already outdated, though I suppose it's too much to ask that they check that every single attraction is current. As usual, the restaurant suggestions didn't impress me; I found better meals just by asking at our hotels.

I wish there had been more content on Boston, but I suppose one has to compromise when trying to cover all of New England in one volume.

The most valuable things in this book by far are all the maps, though I found myself using Google Maps on my phone anyway. Honestly, this guide was more useful to me in putting together my itinerary than on the actual trip.

I don't love Frommer's guides. I just wish Rick Steves did more than just Europe.

3.5 stars rounded up to a 4.

Full disclosure: I definitely didn't read this whole book -- I'm only looking at the cities and towns I'm interested in visiting. It's been useful for those, but unfortunately can't reach the depth you really need for a visit. This is really a good starter and supplement for a trip to New England, but it's not going to replace using the Internet.
