A Woman God Can Lead: Lessons from Women of the Bible Help You Make Today's Choices

Rate this book
Few will deny that we live in an era of great change--especially in redefining the roles of women. But in her book 'A Woman God Can Lead,' Dr. Alice Mathews examines the lives of twenty-two Old Testament and New Testament women from Eve to Mary to offer timeless biblical guidelines that women can apply in today's circumstances. These guidelines help women make better choices and make them better followers of the Master. This two-in-one volume combines Mathews' 'A Woman God Can Use' (on Old Testament women) and 'A Woman Jesus Can Teach' (on New Testament women), which continue to be available as individual volumes. Includes questions for group or individual study.

Author has done her research! Every story about another woman in the Bible has something new in it that I've never heard before.

Each chapter is filled with profound insight into the choices faced by a different woman in the Bible. Women whose stories I’ve read many times, but presented with so much more understanding than I’ve ever gleaned on my own. I learned so much that I hope to retain for my own life. Definitely a book I will hang onto to re-read in the future. I highly recommend it to other women.

The insights and perspectives in this book on some of the women in the Bible was very good. I also enjoyed the thought provoking discussion questions at the end of each chapter. I used this book as for personal study.

It was okay. There were some good insights in the book but overall, not that great.
