Tom is desperate to fit in at school, but he's hungry and howling, not to mention half dead. Blame it on the vampire - and the werewolf - and the zombie.

Thanks to a series of unfortunate bites, eleven-year-old Tom is a triple threat: he's a Vam-Wolf-Zom. And just in time for the first day of middle school. So much for his Invisible Tom Plan. He never thought to make a What

This lighthearted audiobook was just what a needed after a difficult week of real life events. Fun fiction and witty voice! Middle schooler, Tom, is experiencing some unique feelings and cravings. He's constantly hungry, he can see well in the dark, and he accidentally howls right in the middle of class. Could it be that he's a Vam-Wolf-Zom? I mean, there was that weird bite he never identified. The narration was great in this one and I'll definitely keep going if this series continues!

I got this as an ARC from the publisher (or was it the company we order books from? Can't remember) sent to the library where I work. I was chosen to see whether this one was worthy of our shelves.

I didn't find it AS funny as I was hoping (the description had all of my coworkers cracking up), I think because I expected the effortless humor of Spongebob (which the author had written for previously) to be transferred to this storyline. I mean it had a great setup, perfect for goofy over-the-top

I received this as an ARC from the publisher for review purposes. (And am woefully behind on my reading)

Cover: Excellent. This is surely going to grab the attention of young readers.

Description/Topic: Also, a good attention-grabber.

Writing Style: This is not my cup of cocoa at all. I thought this was a bit repetitive and choppy. But I am also reading this from the viewpoint of an adult (albeit one who reads a lot of kids books). That being said, the majority of your kids are going to find this

Every time Tom visits his Grandmother he gets bit by something. This visit, he gets bit by 3 somethings and tomorrow he starts Middle School. A charming and funny, exaggerated example of how,(I imagine), most middle schoolers feel. Book one in a middle grade series that ends with the best 4 words ever!

This was a lighthearted, humorous, entertaining read. I think it would appeal to Diary of a Wimpy Kid fans (although I admit I've never read Diary of a Wimpy Kid). It appealed to this 56-year-old adult in need of a laugh or two.
