That Bona Fide Hood Love: Fire and Pure
What can be said about Cyril “Fire” Prince, that can’t already be assumed by his street name? Fire is a man who wants things his way and his way only. As the acclaim boss of the streets, he feels that respect is owed to him without a given. Those who can’t live by that, will have to feel his wrath. He is a hothead to say the very least. He gets what he wants and is respected by all. Well almost all.
Purety “Pure” Candaberry, is the type of woman, who you’d imagine your son bringing home. She was smart, kind-hearted, beautiful and dedicated to whomever or whatever she chose to give that honor to. But, she had extended that courtesy to the wrong man.
She’s awoken one night, to her panicked-stricken boyfriend urging her to get dress. She knows something is majorly wrong by the sweat beads that are awning his face. Instead of questioning it much, she does as told. Before they could make their escape, the front door is being knocked down. Getting to safety at the nick of time, Pure listens as her boyfriend of two years is murdered in cold blood. Like things couldn’t get any worse. She goes into labor at the worst possible time with their son.
This one dreadful night, puts her in the crosshairs with the last person she thought she would ever have to deal with. Her now deceased boyfriend leaves behind a debt that is owed and must be settled. Find out what happens to a raging bull, when he cross paths with a matador.

You’re one of my favorite writers under Shvonne . When I tell y’all this book was sooooo good . I love all the couples. I really hope Yurey and Zoni work it out. I loved them together. What an ending?? I hope that Fire don’t think that pure knew about that money cause it’s about to get crazy for her, i hope he listen to her. Poor yurey didn’t know he was messing with sisters, i feel bad for zoni cause she really love him i hope that she hear him out. Trouble is something else i can’t with him. Can’t wait for part 2

Absolutely love Fire. I cannot for the life of me..that man. But I loved this read. Yurey just all the way screwed and 2 sisters at that. I can’t wait for the next installment because poor Pure just caught in everyone else mess. She can’t even make her own problems

This was good. Fire was crazy. I felt so bad for Zoni, I hope that gets cleared up and soon. Y'all got Ya to quiet and I'm sure she's coming with some mess. The 29th cant get here fast enough.

All I'll say right now is that this book was pure fire. I loved it everything about it. I laughed. I was appalled. I was in my feelings. I can't wait for part 2. My full review is coming soon. For now, I'll give my pros and cons list.

I enjoyed this book... There was a lot going on and it all started from page one and just kept coming... This book moved at a nice fast steady pace... Had me confused a lot on what I was feeling... The only problem I had was the mix up of names with Zoni and Voni... Other than that this was a good book... Now this big build up at the end and with this cliffhanger... I can't wait to start part 2...
I really liked Purity (Pure) I just hate how she always ended up in such messed up situations... And always for a man... Jessi started it all off getting her caught up in some mess that he did while she was 8 months pregnant... Almost made her lose the baby... But it all came back on him... But that was not enough... She was still left to pay for Jessi's mistakes... Even though she knew nothing about it or had no parts of it... But because of her man she still had to suffer the consequences... I must say that I loved that no matter what... She always made sure her baby was good... Little did she know that the one person that helped her in her desperate time if need... Would also make her life a living hell...
Fire (Cyril) is that man... Yes every woman wants him and every man wants to be him... Let's just say that his name suits him... He switches his temperament so fast that it is crazy... I like him one minute and just as quickly, I can't stand him... He is like fire... He draws you in because you are intrigued by him but if you get to close you might get burned... I hated the way that he treated women... Yet what can I really say... They all allowed him to talk to them and treat them any ol way... Why? Just so they can be close to him... Well it looks like he may have finally met his kryptonite...
As for Zoni I really like her... She has a really good head on her shoulders... She is in College and doing her thing... She has finally found a man named Yurey that really cares about her and makes her happy...But just as easily as she found that happiness it is all put on hold because of this little bit if information that he was withholding... Yurey really had to work and prove himself to Zoni... And in one night he was able to prove himself get his girl back and take it a step further... But just as quickly as they finally found the happiness that they had been looking for... Once again it was very quickly and drastically snatched away... And all because Yurey could not be truthful about anything... Now there is absolutely no coming back from this... Not only that but in an instant it is like Zoni lost her whole family because if this...

OMGoodness, this book was so good, but Fire was really crazy! He should had known what type of woman Purety was, but for some reason, he kept doubting her. I loved the fact that Pure didn't take any mess from Fire, and wasn't a groupie over him, like most women would be.
I was so happy for Zoni, but Yurey should have told her about Von and his situationship with her. I liked how happy Zoni and Yurey were with one another, but it wasn't fair to Zoni, in the way that Yurey expressed his dealings with Von, or the fact that he was dibbing and dabbing in both women, at the same time. Yurey needed to get Zoni back, and fix whatever he had to, to make things right, and ASAP!
I was so happy for Zoni, but Yurey should have told her about Von and his situationship with her. I liked how happy Zoni and Yurey were with one another, but it wasn't fair to Zoni, in the way that Yurey expressed his dealings with Von, or the fact that he was dibbing and dabbing in both women, at the same time. Fire and Pure were opposite of each other due to the fact that Fire had Jessi killed. He was keeping Pure against her will to pay the debt back for Jessi for stealing his money from the trap house. Purety aka Pure was trying to move on with her life without Jessi. Cyril is getting attached to Prue began to care about her and her son. What about Zoin and Yurey lied about being in a relationship with her sister Voni was having a miscarriage with Yurey baby he didn't know they were sister. Yurey ask Zoin to marry him she is so hurt by his lies. What will happen with these couples will their be a happy ever after.

This storyline had me hooked from the beginning. Fire is crazy as all get out. I mean he's funny as I don't know what but psycho. Pure is the definition of innocent. Her character is just so meek and mild. This mess with Yurey, Zoni, and Von got me looking crazy asf. That cliffhanger got me all the way on edge. By far one of my most favorites of the Bona Fide books.

Fire was doing too m... Fire was doing too much for Pure to want anything to do with him. He was too abusive or hell just abusive and nothing about that is attractive. With him constantly flipping the script Pure would be left in an abusive relationship until he was ready to kill her. 7/20/2019 10:04

Not what it seems
Very good read, it's not always what it seems. Fire's accusations toward Pure are far off!! Two sister's falling for the same man what are the chances? And baby chosen maybe motherless after all the drama settle.

I can’t believe all the developments at the end! My heart is going out to Zoni! I really like Pure. She seems to be so sweet and loving towards her son and family. Fire is so rough around the edges and savage. She could be his peace but I guess time will tell!

Nice book 1
Fire is mad crazy especially with that move he is putting on Pure. Yuri has mad love for Zoni but I think he done messed up big time. Very good book. I hope Fire don’t think Pure is a snake.
