Lacey Thorn spends her days in small town Indiana the proud mother of three. Like every woman she knows just how chaotic life can be and how appealing that great escape can look. So toss aside the stress and tension of the never ending to do list.
I adore this series, and I've re-read the earlier books quite a few times. Laramie is finally the hero here and I loved his story just as much as I'd hoped I would.
I totally fell for Emersyn, and Ruby as well. Em has protected Ruby with her life, and has raised Ruby as her own daughter. Ruby's mom Amber was Em's cousin and best friend, and Em would've done anything for her. The joy of raising Ruby should never have been hers, but Em has embraced it and she loves Ruby beyond anyone. She's also been hiding a huge part of herself and doesn't know if she can ever trust anyone with the truth.
I'm intrigued to know more about Malachi, Ruby's father, and to see him reconnect with his beloved daughter, and sisters. There's so much trauma that all these men and women have gone through, and sadly it won't be over until they root out everyone who has been plotting against them all these years. The reveals of the Blackstone women, and Em, during their talks, made me cry. I want to see them all healed and happy, and I think they're well of their way there.
Laramie was a fantastic hero, arrogant as he is, as alpha. He knew Em was his the moment he saw her, and her being human wasn't going to stop him, even if it meant he'd never have shifter children. As alpha, many people wouldn't understand his choice to give up possible future shifter children, but Laramie never wavered.
Em and Laramie make an amazing supercouple and I was so thrilled to read their story. Every thread that gets revealed leaves even more questions in it's wake, in this series. I can't wait for the next book, be it here with the Holloways or in the Awakening Pride series as a whole. I feel sure the best, and more answers, are yet to come.
If I wasn’t already in love with the alpha and his brothers, this book would have pushed me into it. The author did such a fantastic job of hitting us hard with emotions and then seeing where they led. Thank goodness they led to love, new life and a HEA that made me cry with relief. I say this after every book, but the author impresses me with her ability to fill her books with emotion and exciting new story lines. With so many characters still needing mates, there is no telling what direction she sends us next. I am absolutely addicted to this series and can’t wait to see what happens next!
Love this book / series. Can't wait until the remaining brothers each get their HEA. If you haven't checked it out I also recommend the author's Awakening the Pride series. I hope she continues adding to it as well. Happy reading!
Finally Lamarie got his mate and I was really happy for them both. Little Ruby was a joy to read about because she was just do adorable. And don't make Emersyn cry because Ruby don't like you. I thought this book was really good and I could see myself reading this one again.
I love the Holloways and have been looking forward to this book for a long time. It was perfect and I couldn't put it down and read in one sitting. I wish it was longer as to prolong the journey the book took me on, but I think any more and the book would have just drug on. The fact it was a fast pace and moved quickly allowed the book to keep my attention and want to know more. I loved Em and I think she is my favorite character.
Just a great book and I can't wait for more, really looking forward to seeing Jemma more, I think she'll be a great main character when she matures a little.
My alpha bear was bringing the heat….dayum…seriously, just dayum. Mates do not mess around, I am a huge fan of this series and have loved all the books, this one was no exception. Emersyn’s bestie sends her and his baby girl, Ruby, to his den for protection, while he investigates the attack on their den. This was such a great and ongoing storyline. As soon as Laramie sees her, he knows she’s his mate, despite her trying to keep her distance...lasted about a day. Two words, alpha mate...can’t resist that even if she tried really hard, not that she did, just sayin. We find out quite a bit more in this book, about the ongoing storyline and about her.
This was a safe read, like I said...mates. A little ow shenanigans, but he shuts her down...like lightning fast. A tough as nails virgin female, and her dirty talking OTT alpha bear that treats her like his whole world...and she is. When I say he was bringing the heat, he was...this book was seriously hot af. Their chemistry was off the charts hot. One of the sexiest couples I’ve read this year. Psst...this is not PG, I repeat, this is not PG. You’re welcome 😉. Our favorite characters from previous books and new ones too, especially the adorable Ruby. HFN...mates. More please, next book please, my subtlety knows no bounds. #BookCrackSeries #HotAF
Wonderful, engaging and humorous this book for Laramie is just great. Ruby gave me some chuckles cuz...4 year old bear with attitude and a lisp, how perfectly cute! I eagerly await the next story in this adventure.
This is my favorite of the series so far. I loved Laramie and Em together. I loved that Em was an Alpha female, but still knew when to let her mate lead. I love the bond between the brothers. Little Ruby was such a joy.
Both Laramie and Em are the perfect alpha couple. Holloway Pack is starting to multiple and the trauma of each couple is horrendous and sad. Very emotional and the smut is alot.
