It does not happen often that I do not finish a book but here I've given up. The writing is so bad I can't get past it: the paragraphs are messy, filled with passive sentences and really long ones with the verb hidden at the very end. Contentwise it's page after page of how many people have fallen victim to consumerism and are miserable because of it. I get it, alright, now get on with it. Not until page 42 do I find the first suggestions on how to escape my miserable consumption driven life. Flipping through the rest of the book I do find some good advice (spend less than you earn, declutter your house, don't use credit cards), but again the writing is fuzzy at best and it is nothing I haven't read elsewhere in better articulated English. I can particularly recommend T. Harv Eker' s 'Secrets of the Millionaire Mind' and Jack Canfield's 'The Success Principles'.
