Emily, a very kind hearted twenty two year old girl, who has just graduated from the college. She lost her parents at a young age of ten and then she lost her property to her uncle and aunt who now treat her as the maid of the house.
As if life hadn’t snatched enough from her, that she lost her only dream when her uncle sold her to be the wife of a heartless man.
Emily’s life took a huge turn when she became ‘His Purchased Wife.’
LK in the business world is short for Liam Knight. A Heartthrob king, who has achieved a lot of fame and controversies at a young age of twenty four. An egoistic hunk who will purchase Emily just to satisfy his ego and to take revenge from her.
Hiding a big secret from others.
Will Emily and Liam fall in love? Why is Emily being purchased by Liam? What’s Liam’s secret? "You’re such a bitch! I will not leave you this time.” I hear my cousin, Tia’s, angry voice and I begin to shiver in fear.
I don’t know what I have done today to make her so angry but now it has become my daily routine to face the anger of Tia. No one, literally no one stops her when she beats me so bad. Once she nearly broke my ribs and still no one came to my rescue to protect me, I am just a waste in this house.
Tia starts pulling my hair, “You whore.” I look into her eyes and all I see is disgust and hatred towards me. “You bitch; again because of you I had a breakup. What’s so special in you that everyone wants to make you their girlfriend?”
I am not the reason that her boyfriends ditch her, she herself is the reason. Who would like to be the boyfriend of this whore who loves them for their bank balance? I want to shout all this to her face but here I am the weak one.
Soon my aunt walks into the room, Tia is still pulling my hair and my aunt looks at me with same disgust Tia does.
“Tia baby what happened? Why are you making your hand dirty by pulling her hair?”
Wow! Great! Here, my aunt is worrying about her daughter’s hand which will get dirty after touching me instead of feeling bad for my pain which her daughter is giving me by pulling on my hair so harshly.
“You know mom, Jacob ditched me just because of her. He said that my sister is more beautiful than me. It’s the fifth time that my boyfriend has ditched me because of her. This time I will not leave her alone.” Saying this Tia throws me against the wall and place her hands around my throat choking me.
She starts pressing my throat harshly with an evil smirk on her face. I feel suffocated. It feels like I will die in a minute. Big fat tears stream down from my eyes due to pain and suffocation.
“Lee...ave...Leave...meeee” I request Tia to leave me as the pain is enough. I don’t know for how long I would be able to survive this torture.
“Leave her Tia and it’s an order.”
Tia leaves me hearing the order and I fall on the ground breathing heavily, my face filled with tears due to Tia’s torture.
“What is this Dad? Why did you stop me from murdering this Bitch?” She looks in my direction and throws a killing glare.
Even I am shocked as, in this family no one cares for me. So why today did my uncle save me from his princess’s wrath?
“You can take your revenge from her later princess” he says lovingly to Tia then glares in my direction. “And you, Emily. I need you to be ready in next thirty minutes. Mr.
I really liked the story and would have given a higher rating had it not been for so many grammatical errors. At times the author has used similar sounding words (but which have totally different meanings). One needs to do lot of guesswork on account of these errors which spoils the reading flow.
In one chapter even the name of the character was wrong i.e. Ethan instead of Liam.
The author definitely needs to get a good editor. Reading the sequel of this book. That too is an interesting story but again same issues.
I've read few chapters and I've found that if the author has spend sometime in New York, before starting to write and if she would have mentioned real places instead of imaginary ones the story would have been more interesting . Secondly I felt that if the hero was so damn rich why he would send his wife to di shopping from a mall instead of hiring atop designer for her .
If there was an option of giving this book a rating of zero, I would have gladly done it.
This is ridiculous. A disgusting book. Pardon me and do not even try arguing that this isn't because clearly we have far different perspectives towards life but still, but still - how do you justify a rape, eh? And she falls in love with him? A rapist? The man who has raped her? Seriously? Either you are too immature to understand the severity of a rape or you plain just don't care.
And you have given the chapter name as 'Kitchen Romance' right after the night when he had raped her? Wow. I mean, I don't have words for you. Emily doesn't represent women. No woman can forget something as unfortunate and painful as a rape, right the next day and be normal to her rapist like Emily is. Hell, Emily doesn't even seem bothered here.
And on what grounds, do you really think you have justified the rape? Oh, well, apparently because he had got a misunderstanding? An absolute lame reason to justify physical abuse and a rape. I can't believe when in the world, women are raped and killed every minute - we have such stories and that too from female authors, I guess?
Stop feeding this bullshit to people and train their minds towards thinking that it is okay to get hit, it is okay to bear physical violence and out of everything - it is okay to get raped.
And to those who enjoy reading such kind of stories - kindly ponder upon yourself and question yourself how you can read such things, let aside appreciating the same. Just because it is in fiction doesn't justify what's being written. You become what you read so read good stuff.

*spoiler alert* First off, the writing was terrible. I almost stopped on the first chapter due to all the grammatical errors. I did however stop after the wedding night scene, how the hell can you build up to romance in a novel with a character(I won't call him a hero because he is just a douchebag) who beat and raped his virgin wife on their wedding night? Definitely a great start to a romance novel... NOT! Secondly, you start off thinking it's taking place in an earlier time as they mention escorts and arranged marriages but then they are talking about iPhones, WTF? There is so much more that could be said about how awful Liam is but honestly this is the first time I have ever been tempted to write a review and it's to tell you to not waste your time on this crap.

The beginning of the story was interesting but the characters became more annoying along the story and the grammar and spelling mistakes made it very hard to read the complete book.... I wish the author would look out for those more.
I got some chapters free from Huawei Books and it was a very interesting plot until the torture and rape happened-that on their first night. I understand that Emily is weak and that she has been thrown into Liam' s life but how did the author think that a rapist can be a hero?
The story could have taken a different twist: I am guessing this is about India and it explains why so many women are raped daily-the women are too submissive and think that it's okay to forgive rapists.
Sorry, I won't read further. There are too many grammatical errors.

I don't believe English is this author's first language and it really shows, but the ending was good enough that I have to read the next book and I decided I liked this one. I hope the English is better in the next book....
Found this on Wattpad. Had a good amount of grammatical errors and there were parts of the story that i didn't feel like they aligned with one another. Hmm i dont think i would actually suggest it to anyone truthfully.
