Hockey is my life.
My focus.
My priority.
I left Sweden for it five years ago.
I’ve finally been given a shot to prove myself, and I refuse to let anything jeopardize that.
No distractions ~ especially not Julia, the stunning woman I can't seem to get out of my mind. Only problem is, she's my coach's daughter.

I grew up around hockey.

I fell in love with these two from the beginning. The sweet & sassy sides of Julia keep you entertained throughout. Beckett was an arrogant, sexy guy, but he had the exotic charm being Swedish. The chemistry was just oozing from the pages. When he would use his native language I fell more in love with his character. He could whisper sweet nothings to me forever. This story was full of romance, little to no angst, but a wonderful read. I love reading about these characters with each book, but ...more

My face hurts from smiling. Yes, that’s how I’m choosing to start this review because I feel like that is a VERY important fact. There are not enough smiling so big your face hurts but you just can’t stop smiling because your heart is so happy books in the world. I picked this book up on a rainy, gloomy day and found myself going from feeling like a zombie to being absolutely giddy all thanks to Julia and Beckett.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I love me some angst as much as the next girl but I need

This was such a sweet, sexy, fun read! I loved this book and these characters were fabulous! Beckett and Julia were such fun characters and the way that Julia took the initiative to pursue her attraction to Beckett even though he was trying to focus on not acting on his attraction made me like her even more!

This book was hard to put down until the very end. Great writing, great story line and some seriously hot chemistry made this a must read book for sure! By Alisa

Julia is quite the sassy-pants, “not when he wants to only be friends.” She tugs on my tie. “If he wanted to be more than friends, then he could look at whatever he wanted,” she says, her voice a little husky and effing sexy." Beckett can only handle so much of his woman taunting him, “none of that now, or we’ll never make it out of here,” he growls against my neck as he nips at it." I liked this book, I loved Beckett.

The Hardest Shot is book 7 in the Indianapolis Eagles series by Samantha Lind.
Beckett and Julia’s story was sweet and no angst. Love it!!
Beckett left Sweden and the only thing on his mind us Hockey and NHL. But then he met Julia, the Coach’s daughter.
Love Julia and love that she took the lead in the relationship. She knew what she wanted and she wanted Beckett.
They had amazing chemistry but Beckett wants to keep her in the Friend Zone.
It’s up to Julia to convince Beckett and she’s feisty and

This fantastic series continues with Julia and Beckett’s story. You can feel the chemistry between them from the first time they lay eyes on one another. Julia wants to pursue more than friendship but Beckett has his doubts. Will they or won’t they? You will have to read to find out. This is one of those stories that you won’t be able to stop reading once you start. All romance fans who love hockey will definitely love this story.

Beckett met Julia a few months ago and is definitely attracted to her.. Julia wants Beckett but he keeps putting the brakes on.. After all she is the coach's daughter and Beckett can't take any chances now that he has made the big leagues. Julia isn't backing off that easy, she will play this game with him. When Beckett's walls finally come down, will her father be accepting?
The Hardest Shot is book seven in the Indianapolis Eagles series and while each can be read as a standalone you would be missing out on learning about all the amazing characters the WAGS and Eagles make. As you will learn that Hockey are these men's life, but all it takes is the special one to make their chance at scoring or in this case preventing the goal (the Hardest Shot) the hardest outside of the game. Loving a hockey player ain't easy with the amount of time away from the family, but ...more

What can I say about The Hardest Shot by Samantha Lind? This book and series are fantastic! I enjoyed reading this series so much! I hope that will be another book in this series. This is the 7th book in the Indianapolis Eagles series. Because of Samantha Lind and this series, I have learned a lot about hockey and I’m not an avid sportsperson. Make sure you read the first six books in this series before beginning The Hardest Shot.

I have been reading a ton of books with next level angst, and yeah, I can't stop, but it's always refreshing to have a story that has little to none in the pages. And that's what The Hardest Shot was for me, and I'm so very grateful for it. Samantha Lind penned a story that kept me smiling cover to cover, and this is one of those stories that will make any bad day better. It's the story of Julia, a great heroine, who had a huge heart, but with a big side of sassy, which was a great combination ...more

From the blurb: The hardest shot to defend is the one you never take. A truer statement I’ve never read!

I’ve learned something about this author after binge reading this series these last couple of months. She writes sweet romances that rarely ever have much angst and/or conflict. And you know what? I’m okay with that LOL I know that there’s a stereotypical plot-point pattern that most romance authors use, and making sure there’s some sort of conflict between the couples is almost always one

"It doesn't matter what shots I'm faced with in life. I know I'll be able to face them with her in my corner."

I can't begin to tell you how much I loved this story. The entire series has been one sweet couple after another and this one just added another teaspoon of sugar!

Julia Soaps hasn't been able to stop thinking of him since she helped him with an injury - Beckett Karlson. Despite doing everything she can to get him to give in to her flirtations, he's holding his ground. Sometimes it sucks

Wow what a nice treat to see such a strong female character like Julia not be a afraid to take the lead. This girl is extremely confident, not egotistic or manipulative but self assured. It’s refreshing. On the other side of this is Beckett. He’s focused and has his priorities. What I really liked was that he’s willing to be friends with a girl. I have to admit I had a “When Harry Met Sally” moment in my head. So many times we hear that girls and guys can’t be friends. Well in this case Beckett ...more

The Hardest Shot is the sweetest romance I have read in a while. I’m a huge fan of Samantha’s Indianapolis Eagles series (I love a hockey romance) so I was super excited for this book. This is just one of those romances where you smile and giggle the entire time.

Beckett & Julia have immediate chemistry but Beckett tries to friend-zone Julia because her father is his coach. Julia wants Beckett and isn’t above a little extra flirting to tempt him to cave to what they both know could be

I received a review copy before release for an honest review.

This is book 7 in the series and it easily stands alone. In this story we meet Beckett, a Swedish hockey player that is newly recruited for an American hockey team. He meets Julia who is the 20 something daughter of his new teams coach.

They both have crushes on the other but who her dad is, scares Beckett so they become just friends. Julia knows her dad won't care and so she tries to get Beckett to see they belong together.

Samantha Lind never fails to draw me into her stories. The Hardest Shot is another winning goal in her arsenal!

This is like the second generation of Eagles players. This is the story of Julia & Beckett.

Julia is the daughter of the new goalie coach and Beckett is the newest recruit on the Eagles team.

Beckett is an import from Sweden, I can just "hear" his accent and when he speaks Swedish to Julia....wowza! Beckett tries so hard to keep his relationship with Julia platonic, but the chemistry

7 books into this series and it is just as fresh and exciting as the first! Samantha Lind has gotten writing NFL romance books down to fine art.

Beckett reserve goalie for the Indianapolis Eagles at 22 has had one goal and that is to play in the major league when he gets that opportunity with the Eagles he doesn't want to mess up especially with his coach! But ever since Julia the coaches daughter helped him with a knee injury when he first joined the team he can't get her out of his head but he

Samantha does it again, this one by far is my favorite in this series! 5 hockey pucks for this one!
Meet Julia, daughter of former Indianapolis Eagles goalie, and now goalie coach for the team! She's a physical therapist, not for the team, and she meets Beckett when her dad asks her to come in and check out his leg. She thinks hes hot and wants a shot at him, but can she convince him to want more for them?
Beckett's dream has been to play for this team, and he won't do anything to mess that up,

Beckett has always dreamed of playing in the NHL and now that his dream is within his grasp, he can’t allow himself to be distracted by anyone or anything. That goes double for Julia, his coach’s daughter, so he is determined to deny the chemistry between them and remain strictly friends.

Julia is a physiotherapist who is asked by her dad to look at Beckett’s injury. She is very attracted to him and is willing to accept his friends only terms but that doesn’t mean she won’t try to convince him

Samantha Lind has once again written a beautiful love story that involves a hockey player and the coach's daughter. I was pulled into this story from page one and held there through the Epilogue.

I loved the way Julia chased him until he caught her, so to speak. Beckett was a hard nut to crack but Julia finally got him to cave and it was all downhill from there on.

Beckett was so afraid Matt would not approve of him dating Julia that he gave it his best shot at keeping their relationship on the

This was such a fun and sweet story that kept me hooked from the get-go. I really enjoyed the simple premise and the characters. Beckett was delightful and a little stubborn and I loved how Julia went after what she wanted. These two had great chemistry and I loved their interactions. The author has a great writing style that spoke to me. This is a perfect sports romance that

This was a sweet, sexy great read! Julia is a physical therapist who has grown up around the sport as she is the coach’s daughter. She and her best friend Jill love going to the games and Beckett has caught her eye.
Beckett is from Sweden and playing pro hockey is his focus and priority and doesn’t need any distractions especially Julia! Why? Because everyone knows you don’t mess with the coach’s family and especially not his daughter! He finally has a chance to prove himself, the only problem

A fun, romantic and steamy read both on the ice and definitely off! Beckett and Julia make the sweetest couple in Hockey. Both young but determined to get ahead in the careers putting aside feeling until they can no longer be ignored. This book was quirky and exciting. With Beckett giving us lessons in Swedish, it was also a learning experience. All in all this series has been exciting as the guys from the Eagles grow in both their careers and in their love lives. This is the 7th book in this awesome series and is Beckett and Julia’s story. Beckett has his priorities and the NHL is the top of his list, but the sizzling chemistry between him and Julia, who is the coaches’ daughter, may just change his mind. This is a beautifully written story which has tad angst, and is sweet, humorous, and a romantic read. I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and I highly recommend for all sports lovers out there.

Gosh! I loved this so much I feel like I have to read it again. Even though it's the seventh book in the series, it does stand alone. But be warned that once you read this, you WILL want to read the others. I was smiling so much I couldn't put this down. Julia and Beckett are perfect but being his coach's daughter, he tries to fight their attraction and undeniable pull. It only gets better as the story unfolds.

Beckett and Julia start out as friends and progress to lovers and a HEA. I think Beckett is my new favorite in this series. He is hot when he is speaking in Swedish. Beckett and Julia are cute together. I enjoyed how they interacted and the rapport they had. The Hardest Shot was a quick, hot read. I read this book from front to back in one sitting because I enjoyed this story. The Hardest Shot was another good addition to this series.
