The Moonglow Sisters by Lori Wilde, set in Moonglow Texas, was the perfect book to read as I prepare to travel to Texas. This book is both as light as a summer breeze and as heavy as the dense humidity that can often come with summer, especially in Texas! Gia, Shelly, and Madison reunite to love and pray and wish their grandma back to health after a serious diagnosis. After five years spent apart and barely speaking following a wedding day debacle and serious sisterly rift, they must find a way ...more

The Moonglow Sisters is a womens fiction novel about three sisters that were torn apart after an incident at the oldest sisters wedding. That incident sent the three away from their small Texas coastal town, but with their beloved grandmother ill, one returned the other two have stayed gone but with their grandmother ill, the one who raised them after their parents were killed, they return to fight the demons of their past and figure out where life takes them next.

A fun, lighthearted, easy read! This was the perfect palate cleanser for me. It was a fun read about sisters, family bonds, and forgiveness. The romance felt rushed and the sex scene was just strange. I loved the sisters bond with their beloved Grandma. There was a lot going on in this book but it all came together perfectly in the end. Was it predictable? Yes. But sometimes you just need a happy ending and this book delivered. My thanks to the publisher for the advance reader in exchange for my ...more

A novel about the intricacies of family relationships and finding a way to heal after past hurts, The Moonglow Sisters was a thoughtful, charming piece of womens fiction from Lori Wilde.

Lori Wilde has been one of my go-to authors for some time when it comes to contemporary romance set in small Texas towns with yummyer, I mean, interesting cowboys. (lol) So I was quite happy to see she was branching out into womens fiction. The Moonglow Sisters still had that

I like Lori Wilde books and I think this is my favorite. The Moonglow sisters return to their childhood home when their grandmother is operated on for brain cancer. Moonglow Cove, Texas has missed the girls who used to be so close and part of their small town. A wedding day disaster tore the sisters apart with Gia returning home after college and apprenticeship in Japan to open her kite shop. Maddie made it bigtime in New York television and Shelley went into a cult in Central America. Their ...more

I've always loved Lori Wilde's cowboy romances and had high expectations for The Moonglow Sisters. This book is more Women's Literature than vs. Wilde's normal genre. She has made the transition with grace and elegance. This story of women trying to repair the ripped basis of their family is engaging and emotionally charged as falsehoods and truths are brought to light.
I loved and connected with every single character in the story and cheered as each came into their own. Wilde has shown the

Two of the Clark sisters left Moonglow Cove, Texas, after the Incident with Raoul. Now five years have passed and Grammy is having surgery and has written a little to Gia, the peacemaker, to get the sisters back together and to finish the wedding quilt. All the sisters have secrets. I wont leave any spoilers, but I will say this is one of my favorite reads this year. Grab your copy and see what Madison, Shelley, and Gia are hiding. The Moonglow Sisters had everything and more that I was looking for. Sisters that are reunited after a falling out five years ago, a fake engagement and a small town feeling. Their grandma, who is now sick, had one wish left and that was for the sisters to be reunited and finish the wedding quilt. Each of the sisters are so different but can they put aside their differences this one summer.

This was a hard book to put down. I loved each of the sisters. Loved the small town, how everyone comes

Moonglow, Texas and Madison and her siblings, Shelly and Gia are brought here as children after their parents perish in an avalanche in Colorado. They had no idea of their grandmother, Helen Chapman. She raised the girls as her own and ran the Moonglow Bed and Breakfast.
Five long years have passed since the sisters have been together due to pride, unforgiveness and the whole family have realized they all have secrets they've been holding onto.
And now Helen is in the hospital and they've all

The Moonglow Sisters had a lot of potential and at times, it was very good. Then the story would just become way too unbelievable and corny. I loved the interaction between Gia and Mike though the romance was just a bit weird.
This would make for a good beach read. A story about sisters, forgiveness, a little romance and lots of family drama.
Thank you to NetGallery, the publisher and author for the opportunity to read and give my honest review about this book.

Shelley runs off to Costa Rica for solitude, Gia stays in Moonglow Cove, and Madison goes to New York for a career in TV. But when their grandmother is diagnosed with brain cancer - and needs them and gives Gia a letter asking her to get the sisters back together to mend their relationship - will the Moonglow sisters be able to put

This is the perfect summer read! Even though its winter, I felt like I was right there in Moonglow Cove on the beach! Such a heartwarming tale about family and mending relationships. Three sisters brought back together by their sick grandmother, whos wish is for the three of them to finish a quilt.

The pacing was perfect. Although the events were a little predictable, there was enough drama to keep things interesting!

Plus... I loved neighbor Mike! The little bit of romance in this was super

I'm stingy with 5 star reviews but The Moonglow Sisters easily rated this one.

Wilde does a great job at creating complex, realistic and relatable characters and she weaves the story's many reveals perfectly and exposes them with masterful timing.

No one is quite what everyone else thinks they are. No bit of their history is exactly what it seems to be and the outcome, while perhaps what the reader expects, is not achieved directly or easily.

Wilde introduces us to each of the three sisters,

This book is perfect for days when the whole world seems like a hot mess and you just want to veg out with characters who have some layers, are learning to heal and come together other as sisters, and who find "happily ever after" love along the way. And if the final pages seem rushed and include sappiness such as "She was here now, with the man she loved, and everything was absolutely perfect...", well, good on them!

I enjoyed this nice break from reality for a couple of evenings. I may have
